I feel like we are all counting down the days until we can start wearing our chunky knits and big scarves. They are cozy, comfy, and fabulous! Right now the warm with a cool breeze weather is just right for a cute fall dress. I have found so many cute fall dresses under 100 this season for both work and casual weekends.
Picture some of the above with your cute new booties or riding boots, paired with a denim jacket or utility vest, or killer pair of heels or flats and chunky jewelry. These 12 were my favorite picks because ONE they can all be styled different ways throughout the season, and TWO I thought it was a great selection of both office and weekend options. My favorite is probably twelve. I picture it with a denim jacket and cowboy boots perfect for a state fair or rodeo. Although two is close second as the perfect dress to go from work to happy hour.
I own dressthree (last seen here). It’s super comfy and has pockets! WIN! I also have the maroon version of dress four. This dress works year round for me! I have styled it previously here and here. So, which one is your favorite??
Does the title of this post freak you out a little? Like how is it almost November and Thanksgiving?!?!?! Last weekend, I even started testing out a recipe for my Thanksgiving dessert. I made a pumpkin pie, I know not groundbreaking, kind of basic. BUT I made it from an actual pumpkin and not canned pumpkin. Overall the process was pretty easy, just takes awhile for everything to bake. The pie was delicious too!
I wish I could say I already knew what to wear, but who knows what our weather will be like in a month. I wanted to share a couple options over the next few weeks that could work for whatever weather your holiday brings you. The wild unknown of the forecast is one thing that makes this sweater such a great option. It has that cozy knit feel I love for fall and provides a small amount of warmth perfect for a light breeze. The knit does have larger holes and the sleeves are 3/4 length which makes it ALSO work for these warm days we can’t seem to shake. This sweater is see through. I have a camisole on underneath it.
I dressed this look up a little bit with these pretty floral earrings that add color and sparkle to the look. Shoes are another great way to add color to an outfit. These flats are the perfect compliment to the soft pink of the earrings. I went with a simple long necklace to not distract from the statement earrings. All together I love this look as a casual Thanksgiving dinner outfit with family or friends. Comfy, Dressy, Classic, and small pops of color, just how I like it.
I feel like my favorite neutral color crush right now is gray. It’s such a soft and pretty color. It mixes well with others, but looks great all by itself too. It has such an effortless chic look to it. I loved keeping this whole look neutral by pairing my gray with white jeans and silver and white jewelry. Of course, I just had to add a pop of color somewhere though. This clutch is always my go-to color pop.
I was so excited to see this sweater back at Nordstromthis season. It’s high up on my list of favorites from last year! You can easily dress it up with a great pair of heels and cute jewels for a little dinner date or holiday dinner, or toss it on with some leggings to relax around the house while watching all the Hallmark Holiday movies. It’s really cozy, so however you wear it, you will be comfy. AND Best Part – It’s only $38! That’s a steal of a price for a sweater!
On a small different note, if you had any issues with links on the blog on Friday, apparently there was some huge nationwide computer hack that made outbound links not work to certain sites. BUT everything seems to be back up and running now. Sorry I know it was probably super frustrating, but it was one of things where it was just out of my hands. Thanks so much for taking time out of your day to visit, I always appreciate it!!
Happy Friday!! I thought I would do something a little bit different today and share some of my past fall outfit ideas. If you are new this year, feel free to check out the original post for more info on the inspiration behind each outfit. If you are a seasoned reader, hopefully these looks will re-inspire you for this fall and winter season. Believe it or not a few of the items are still available in stores. If they were not, I found some similar items to help you recreate the looks. Some of these items I consider wardrobe staples, so you may be able to create many of these from items already in your closet!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and thank you so much for stopping by today!!! NOW – go be fall inspired and pin your faves so you don’t forget about them if you are still living in end of summer weather like me!
