I talk about my love to mix colors quite a bit, well it feels like that to me at least. My favorite color mixing season is probably fall. I love to mix the dark seasonal colors and jewel tones. One of my favorite base colors to mix with is olive. It works really well with warmer jewel tones like burgundy, purple, and dark pink. This outfit is easily something I would wear to work on casual Friday (probably with non-distressed jeans) or on weekends to dinner, brunch, or just running errands.
These pink suede flats have been on my radar since the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I passed on them because I was over budget. My birthday landed me a few gift cards, and they immediately landed in my cart. The pointed toe on these gives them a classic, sophisticated, and professional look, but they have these little spikes around the heel that gives them a little edge. I think this particular shade of dark pink is a major selling point. It’s dark enough for fall and winter, but still bright enough for spring and summer.
The first time I wore them out, the heel felt narrow. The second time they had stretched just enough, and now are really comfortable. They come in a few other color options too. I considered the cognac brown ones, but I didn’t like that the spikes were gold. I love anything with a heel, but I will always consider a great ballet style flat to be a fall and winter staple.
