Summer Crop Top

Happy Friday!! This summer crop top is one of my top purchases this season. Not going to lie, I was a little nervous about the whole crop top idea, but I think the length works perfectly with the slightly higher waist of these distressed jeans. I’m not really showing any skin unless I move certain ways. It is also the perfect length to pair with shorts for my height. Since I am on the petite side, longer tees usually end up looking like I’m not wearing shorts and have to be tucked in. This top is a great length for a loose, non-tucked in look with shorts for me.
I wore this outfit for an outdoor ballet followed by drinks also outside, and it was perfect for the warm evening. This top is lightweight and the movement really helps keep you a little cooler.
I’m really loving this affordable denim brand. I have two pairs from them that I have had in constant rotation lately. For under $50, the quality is really good. They hold their shape throughout the day and with multiple wears. The denim is slightly thinner than some of my higher end jeans, but I personally like that for a Texas summer. It helps you stay cool when it’s 90 degrees even after dark.
I hope ya’ll have a great weekend!!

Dressing up an Oversized Tee for Summer

Happy Friday!! How was your week? I attended a Justin Timberlake concert earlier this week, and it was soooo good! He’s such a good performer! I’m super pumped for this upcoming 3 day weekend. I have plans to spend as much time poolside as possible, and probably sale shop!
It’s no secret I love taking super casual pieces and finding ways to dress them up. I ordered this tee as something I could toss on over a swimsuit and wear with shorts to a pool party. I also think it is the cutest tee to dress up for a casual night out. Heels are the easiest way to dress up any outfit. I went with these taupe block heel sandals because I think they work for both casual and dressier looks.
Lace bralettes are the perfect companion to dress up an oversized tee. I love that it allows your tee to slightly fall off shoulder and still be cute. White jeans are another way to dress up a casual look, but I love mixing in distressed jeans to keep the look a bit more casual. I also added in some statement earrings because you can never go wrong with a great pair of earrings to enhance an outfit.
I hope ya’ll have a great long weekend!!

Casual Summer Outfit + Pink Statement Earrings

We are officially starting to get those hot summer nights, so I wanted to share a casual Summer outfit idea perfect for meeting friends for an evening cocktail. My favorite part of this look is these gorgeous pink statement earrings. They are the perfect pop of color, a fun design, and lightweight. Bonus, they come in at $13. Since I love wearing black, they will be the perfect addition to many of my outfits this summer.
I’m always on the hunt for lightweight tops for summer. The material on this bandeau top is perfect for the heat. It breathes, but it’s not see through. The stretch panel makes this top a little more comfortable and gives you more ease of movement than other bandeau styles. Cognac brown wedges were the perfect compliment to the black and pink and add a little bit more color to the outfit. I went with wedges for a more casual look, but you could easily dress this whole look up with some block heel sandals.
Ya’ll have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

Summer Ready in Distressed Denim Shorts

Hello Lovelies! How was your weekend? I had a fun filled one with a massage, ballet, and time with family. It went by so fast! I’ve had a busy few weekends, so I’m excited for something a little more chill coming up.
Our weather is heating up down here, so it’s about time to start dusting off our shorts. I purchased this new pair recently. I like that they are slightly longer than my last pair. It makes them more comfortable to walk in, at least to me. For distressed denim shorts, I usually opt for minimal distressing. A frayed hem and a mark or two on the front of the shorts. I love the light vintage wash on this pair. It gives a good worn in/sun faded look. The fit on this pair is true to size. The price is higher than what I normally look to pay for shorts, but I tried on so many pairs and just loved how comfortable these were.
Also, can we talk about this patchwork halter top!!?! I love the design and colors! It comes in and out of stock, so hopefully if you love it your size will be available. It does have a slit down the middle (you can see it if you scroll up a couple pics), so you will need to wear a bandeau top underneath. It would also be cute to wear to a pool party over your swimsuit.
Ya’ll have a great week and thanks for stopping by!
