I love ringing in a new year. It is such a symbol of a new beginning, out with the old and in with the new. It is a chance to reflect on the past year and set a resolution for an even more amazing year ahead. It is also a night when no matter where you celebrate, sequins are practically required. I purchased this dress a few years ago for my bachelorette party. I wanted a show stopping piece that stood above all the rest. In this dress, I was ready to party and celebrate my last single girl’s night out. This dress was the perfect bachelorette party dress, and is an even more perfect New Year’s Eve dress. One thing about this dress is it is a very memorable statement piece dress. My girlfriends will still talk about how fabulous it is. So for a second wearing on New Year’s Eve, I want to change up the look and try to make it appear a little different. I love pairing it with this blazer. I think it adds such a sophisticated style to the overall look. Plus since it is a little cooler out, it keeps me warm while watching fireworks or stepping out for fresh air. With cold weather in mind, I also paired this dress with some great suede boots. I absolutely hate being cold, so finding ways to wear my sequin dress and not freeze is a must. I also think this dress would look cool with a black leather jacket, black leggings and black pumps. Both looks will definitely change up the dress from the original way I wore it and give me 2 more outfits out of a fabulous statement piece.

Last weekend marked my first Christmas party of the season! This week, I am heading to an office holiday party held at a home. I want a look that is in between fancy in a cocktail dress and casual with jeans and a cute top – a holiday look with a little sparkle! I love the sleek look of all black, and the blazer keeps it a little dressed up and professional. You could even pair with a dark red jacket to add a little holiday color. The sparkle is my favorite part of this outfit. I love anything with sequins on it! Black sequins are great for office parties where you want to be a little more subtle sparkly. I think they keep the outfit a little more business professional and look great popping through under the blazer. The best sparkle on this outfit is definitely the shoes! I have a slight shoe addiction, and these silver sparkly glitter shoes were definitely a pair that fed into my addiction. I do not get many wears out of them, but when I do they are definitely show stoppers! I think every woman needs that great pair of shoes that are for nothing more than to wear for fun and to party! These shoes definitely do that!

I am so excited the weekend is almost here! My best girlfriends and I are getting together for a little Christmas Soiree and I am ready for some long overdue catching up and gossip! On weekends in winter, I pretty much live in skinny jeans, a sweater and boots or booties! I love winter sweaters that are a little oversized and have feminine detailing. The details on this one are so gorgeous! When I wear a top with such beautiful details, I usually skip any kind of necklace or go for something super short. I do not want to detract from the beauty of the top. This is my first pair of jeggings or jean leggings, and I must say they are quite comfy! I was searching for black distressed skinny jeans when I came across these for under $90, so I decided to give them a try. I kind of like the thinner material because they do not feel so suctioned up tight like with a thick jean and they fit easier inside boots. No, I am not giving up my skinny jeans, after all I just picked these up on Cyber Monday, but I will definitely consider buying another pair of jeggings. I love this coat! You may remember it being on my winter wish list a few weeks ago. Living in Texas, I do not have a need for too many coats, so I usually only add one (maybe two if it’s on sale) to my coat collection every year. This year I was looking to add a red coat, but stumbled upon this gorgeous BB Dakota one and had to have it! Every coat I buy has to be super versatile; after all I only have a few. I was drawn to the shade of gray on this coat. The color is actually black and white tweed, but combines into this gorgeous shade of gray. I wear a lot of black and other dark colors, and I love how this shade of gray both stands out by itself and compliments the black dress. In the winter, I feel like I’m always cold and can wear my coat for hours even indoors! I love having a coat that looks this fabulous on and isn’t overwhelmingly bulky! I partnered it with my favorite Asos Swing Dress. I own both the long and short sleeve version of this dress! It’s such a lightweight throw on and go dress, and is oh my goodness soooo comfortable! I love wearing this dress on Mondays to work when I maybe overindulged in too many holiday party goodies over the weekend! With the right statement necklace and a pair of booties, this dress becomes a stunner!
