Shoe Guide: Spring Sandals

| DETAILS |
DOLCE VITA Wild Orchid Heels | NINE WEST Orange Fringe Heels | BCBGENERATION Yellow Patent Sandals | IVANKA TRUMP Red Fringe & Tassel Heels | JESSICA SIMPSON Fringe Lace-Up Sandal | SCHUTZ Margo Sandals | KLUB NICO Moxie Sandal | KYLIE + KENDALL Fringe T-Strap Sandal | SAM EDELMAN Ankle Strap Sandal | GUESS Anny Caged Heels
Spring and summer is hands down my favorite time to shoe shop! If I could afford it, I would buy all the spring sandals in this post! I have noticed lots of fringe, bold colors and beautiful details on the spring shoes this season. I’m really liking the fringe in a bold color for a fun statement shoe. You can pair these with a neutral all white or black look or with jeans and a tee to create a fun dressy casual look. You can also be bold and mix these brightly colored shoes with a solid color dress. I’m thinking a hot pink dress with the yellow sandals or a bold blue with the wild orchid heels. Not feeling so brave, you can easily pair with a pattern that includes the bold color too.
As for the blush toned shoes, I think they will go with about everything from dresses to jeans. All of these would pair perfectly with a colorful romper too. The fringe t-strap sandal and Schutz white and nude heel are my tie for ultimate favorite for this post. I also included the classic ankle strap sandal. This is one of those simple goes with anything shoes. A few brands make this style, so you should be able to find it in the color and price range you desire.
I took some time on my day off yesterday to update my shop page for Spring! If you have never visited this page, it has a few different sections on it. The In My Closet section shares some of my most recent buys, Current Cravings for all my wants and desires from fashion, beauty, and home. I also have a seasonal style section with some of my top picks for the current season from classic pieces to the latest trends. I just changed it over to Spring, since we seem to be starting that season down here in Texas already. I also just added a Shoes section, because I am a shoe addict and need somewhere to share all the gorgeous shoes I find online. 🙂 I also periodically add fun sections like the holiday dress section for Christmas and New Year’s Eve. I try to create this page more for you, so you can see what I’m buying before it hits the blog, what I’m lusting after, and to create a little help navigating the never-ending online shopping world. If you would like to see a section added, feel free to shoot me a note on the contact page. You can always find direct access to this page in the menu bar at the top of every post.
Thanks for swinging by the blog and hope you have a great week ahead!

Rodeo Outfit: Floral Blouses and Cowboy Boots

| DETAIL |
HALOGEN Chambray Top | DANIEL RAINN Floral Tunic (SIMILAR) | DL1961 c/o Skinny Jeans | OAK TREE Cowboy Boots (SIMILAR) More Options at end of post! | SOLE SOCIETY Kianna Crossbody | LOREN HOPE Abba Earrings (same in different color) | GORJANA Mika Necklace, Taner Bar Necklace | BAUBLEBAR Pave Links Bracelet, Cuban Links Bracelet | RAYBAN Aviator Sunglasses | MAC Lipstick in Craving | JULEP Nails in Shari
Since last week I shared a evening rodeo outfit, this week I wanted to give you a outfit to wear during the day. Yep, I pulled out my cowboy boots for this one! I love boots that are a little more simple with the stitching being a neutral color. I also really like the worn in look of some cowboy boots. You know a “I totally did some farm work in these” look. 🙂 One of my favorite things about cowboy boots are the beautiful designs on the boot shaft. It adds such a great detail to the boot and makes each pair unique and different. Cowboy boots are pricey, easily starting around $150 and going up from there. If you are in the Houston area, some of the local western wear shops will start having sales on all things rodeo soon. It’s a great time to buy a pair of boots. I also created a little widget for you at the bottom of this post with more boots available online.
While comfy walking shoes are a must for a full day at the rodeo, light layers are also important. The rodeo hosts both indoor and outdoor events, so I like having a light jacket with me in case the indoor areas are cold. Plus, our rodeo weather sometimes is a little cool at night since it is in March. I love the idea of using a chambray shirt as more of a jacket in this look. During the day, you can easily tie the chambray top around your waist if this happens to be a warmer day. At night or if it’s a cool spring day, you can wear just like this. Using a chambray as more of a jacket, you will not have to tote a bulky jacket around all day. I have a floral tunic on underneath it. Florals and plaids always make me think western wear and rodeo. I also highly recommend a cross-body purse for the rodeo!! The place is crowded and a small bag makes it easier to maneuver through crowds, plus it frees your hands for drinks, food, and shopping!

Closet Staples and a Pink Backpack

| DETAILS |
NYDJ Henley Blouse | BLANK NY Distressed Denim | STEVE MADDEN Proto Heels | HENRI BENDEL c/o Mini Jetsetter Bag | GORJANA Alejo Necklace | KENDRA SCOTT Grady Bracelet | LOREN HOPE Drop Earrings (Same but different color) | BAUBLEBAR Slim Bangle | RAYBAN Blue Mirror Aviators | MAC Lipstick in Faux | JULEP Nails in Shari
Ya’ll I am so excited for today’s post, because I am madly in love with my new pink backpack purse! I have had my eye on the Jetsetter from Henri Bendel for quite some time now. I originally went to the store to check out the non-mini version, but it was just a bit too big for what I was looking for. When I saw they had made a mini version, I knew I needed it. It was all about waiting for the perfect color to come along. This pink color was just released earlier this week, and it was the perfect color that I was waiting for. It’s kind of a pink coral color, perfect for spring and summer. My favorite thing about this bag is that it is three bags in one – a backpack, crossbody, and satchel. The beige straps can unhook and move around to create different ways to carry this purse. I have a few trips planned this spring and summer, and this bag is going to be so perfect for travel or just running errands on weekends.
I also recently added a couple closet staples to my wardrobe. One is these new distressed skinny jeans. I like that they have minimal distressing and that the holes are backlined. Best part of these – the price tag! These babies come in at only $88! I did have to size down. I originally ordered my regular jean size, but after about an hour I knew I had to go down a size. I often will wear a new brand of jeans for about an hour around my house with tags on to see how they stretch. This was actually something a salesperson recommended to me once. I don’t do anything major just move around enough to see if they will stretch or not.
My other addition is this black top. I know nothing super special, but a black top like this is so versatile. I currently own one with a dolman/batwing sleeve and wear it all the time. The sleeve prevents me from being able to layer really well with it though which is why I wanted a new one. The 3/4 length sleeve and thin material makes it wearable year round. It comes in a few other color and print options too. I also just saw that a few of them are on sale for 40% off. I’m hoping the white goes on sale soon too. I mean it’s a closet staple. I should have it in multiple colors right?!?! Haha. Hope ya’ll have a great rest of your day and thanks for stopping by!
