Nine Ways to Wear a Cow Print Top
Maybe it’s because I’m a Texas girl, but I’m really loving this cow print blouse. It’s so right up my style alley being black and white. The print is fun and different, but also has a chic and sophisticated vibe. I’ve come up with a good variety of ways to wear a cow print top from casual, going out, western inspired (of course!), and even a little work wear.
This top is completely sheer, so you do need to pair a cami underneath it. I opted to wear a black one, but you could also wear a white or ivory one which will lighten up the top a little. It also has a tie neck line which I’ve showcased multiple ways to style as well. It’s a versatile detail that you can use to change up the look of your top.
NINE WAYS TO WEAR A COW PRINT TOP
ALL BLACK OUTFIT
I’m starting with the always chic all black ensemble. It really helps the print of the top pop.
For the tie neck portion, I tucked the long strings into my cami to create the look of an open v-neck. You can also tie them to the cami straps to help them stay hidden.

BLACK JEANS & BROWN HEELS
Another option for this top and a black jean combo is to add in some brown. A brown belt and shoes add the perfect contrasting pop of color. The brown and cow print also give me a tiny hint of a western feel.
For the tie neck, I opted to tie a bow just at the base of the v-neck. I love how it creates a fun necklace type detail to the top.

WITH BLUE JEANS & TALL BROWN BOOTS
This outfit was my most western inspired. I originally though about showcasing this with cowboy boots, but I wanted to show how the look would work with a more popular style boot. My tall brown boots have a weathered look for the perfect fall outfit combo with a hint of that western vibe.

WITH BLUE JEANS & BROWN MULES
Many of the details of this top give it a more dressed up feel, but you can easily make this top more casual with a cuffed pair of blue jeans and brown mules or booties.

WITH GRAY JEANS & PINK FLATS
If you for an outfit with no western references, opt for gray jeans and pop of color. When you think that this is really just a black and white top, gray is a great jean choice for a chic casual outfit. I also love adding in a pop of color with my shoes.

WITH BOOTCUT/FLARED JEANS & HEELS
Looking for a casual office look? Tuck this top into a pair of dark blue flared or bootcut jeans. In an earlier look, I paired my tan heels and brown belt together. The brown stops the eye at the waist and can help break up a monochromatic outfit. For this one, I wanted a smooth look and didn’t want the eye stopping at the waist. I chose the black to blend in more, but I still have my pop of color in the shoe. You could also choose a pair of black heels.

WITH A LEATHER SKIRT & BOOTIES
This one has a little western inspiration for a date night or girl’s night out. It’s cow print, it’s brown leather, and it’s my favorite western inspired black booties. This combo is perfect when you want western inspired not full on cowgirl.

WITH A PENCIL SKIRT
I was so torn on which pencil skirt to wear with this top because it look great with all of them! If you are looking to add some fun to your work look, a pop of color is a great choice. To keep the more professional look, you could also do a black or gray pencil skirt. For the chic work to happy hour look, this top with a black leather pencil skirt is a fabulous combo!
For the office, I tied the tie neck closed to create a mock turtleneck look to the top. This style is fun for work to happy hour. Tie it up for work and untie it to transition to happy hour or an after work event.

WITH JEAN SHORTS & BOOTIES
Another western inspired outfit idea! I wore this one a few weeks ago. I really wanted to wear this top, but it was too warm for jeans during the day. A pair of cutoff jean shorts was the perfect answer. I’ve been loving my pair as a warm fall alternative to jeans.

What I Wore in November

Only one more month left of 2020! My November outfits were a mix of sweaters and lightweight fall tops. We had a few warm days that called for tank tops and shorts. I continue to add to my comfy loungewear collection too. We took our Christmas card photo this month, so I’m including the brown midi dress that I wore for the picture.
Since it’s Cyber Monday, many of the items that I wore in November are on sale today! One sale I must point out is Kendra Scott’s 30% off sale. My staple earrings and many of my necklaces are from this line. It’s also a great jewelry line to shop for Christmas gifts. She has a wide array of jewelry from everyday to statement and a good range of prices.
Also worth noting as you do your sale shopping, Nordstrom does price matching! Sometimes they already mark items down as price-matched on the site. If you find something that’s not, you can just do a chat session on their website and send them the link and they will match. I like the perks of shopping with my Nordstrom card, so I like to take advantage of this perk.
If you are doing some gift shopping today, don’t forget to check out my GIFT GUIDES page for lots of ideas including new guides for this year and all of my past gift guides.

Six Ways to Wear a Striped Button Up Top
A striped button up top is a great staple to have in your closet. You can easily dress it up for work or down for a more casual affair. Today’s six ways to wear a striped button up top includes three casual outfits and three work outfits. For the three casual, I’m showing a popular fall outfit, super casual look, and a look with OTK boots. For work, I’m hitting all work dress levels including casual Friday, business casual, and a simple office look.
My striped top is a tunic length which is perfect for pairing with leggings. To change up the look of my top, I opted to tie it at the waist in a few of the looks. This option can help add definition to your waist. The longer length of the top makes it super easy to tie into a cute knot.

WITH LONG CARDIGAN & DISTRESSED JEANS
Cardigan, jeans and booties is a classic fall look. Since my cardigan is long, I opted to tie the top at my waist to showcase different lengths in my layers.

WITH JEANS & OVER THE KNEE BOOTS
Since my boots are over the knee, I went with a tie at the waist. The shorter look of the top helps make my legs look a little longer with the over the knee boots. It’s a fun little petite trick of mine.

WITH BLACK LEGGINGS & DENIM JACKET
The best thing about tunics is how perfect they mix with black leggings. The striped button up style gives a bit more of put together look to the leggings. I added in a denim jacket for a layered fall outfit.

GRAY JEANS & HEELS
For a more business casual jeans outfit, I paired this striped tunic with a gray pair of skinny jeans and heels. The height of my heel works well with the tunic length. The untucked top and gray jeans give a deconstructed casual office vibe.

WITH FAUX LEATHER PENCIL SKIRT
With a quick tie at the waist, this top is a perfect pairing with a pencil skirt for the office. I tucked the ends of the tie up in the shirt to create the look of a tucked in shirt. This works great with a faux leather skirt when a tucked in shirt may show off a line or bunching in your skirt.

WITH LIGHT BLUE JEANS & LOAFERS
For casual Friday in the office, a pair of skinny jeans and loafers are perfect. Since I’m petite and wearing flats, I opted to tie my shirt at the waist to help make the overall outfit look more put together and prevent me from looking shorter.

They have an elastic smock waist and super flowy material to make them so comfy! The cut of these pants and material help keep them a bit dressy. Heads up, these are cropped pants. On my petite height, these fit perfectly like ankle pants. If you are taller than me, these may have a more cropped look.

I have a variety of both casual and work outfits put together for you featuring all different kinds of tops. Check them out and let me know in the comments which is your favorite outfit!
Seven Ways to Wear Leopard Print Pants
WITH A SHORT BOXY SWEATER
A light colored top is a great way to tone down the bold print. This slightly boxy ivory sweater was the perfect shade to pair with this leopard print. I opted for the shorter sweater since both my top and bottom have a bit of volume.

WITH A FITTED LONG SWEATER
If you are worried about boxy making you look to well boxy, a long fitted sweater will help define your shape a little. I opted for a black sweater to help make the dark color in the print really pop.

WITH A STRIPED TANK & LONG CARDIGAN
Stripes are one of my go to patterns for a good print mix! The long green cardigan helps add a punch of color to the look.

WITH A BLACK BLAZER & WHITE CAMI
Hello Office Friendly! A black blazer and white cami is the perfect way to turn a printed pair of pants into a work friendly look.

WITH A DENIM JACKET & BLACK TANK TOP
Looking for a more casual outfit idea? Reverse the work outfit with a casual denim jacket and fitted tank top to ease these pants into weekend attire.

WITH A NAVY FITTED TEE
If you want to add a little bit of color, navy blue is a great choice. It provides a little color without taking away from the statement fact of the leopard print in the pants.

WITH A PURPLE CAMI
For a dressy weekend look, a strappy cami works really well with these looser fitting pants. I wanted to showcase another color option with this muted purple top. Since the pants are a statement maker, my color choices will lean more towards non-bright, almost like muted colors. Purple always gives me a luxe feel and is a great choice.
