I think in Houston we have finally entered fall for good. I can officially bring out my boots and scarves! This blanket scarf is so incredibly soft! If it came as an actual blanket, I would probably buy it! I love how a colorful scarf can take an outfit as simple as a plain white tee and boots and make it feel special. My long sleeve tee is also super soft! This tee was one of my Black Friday purchases. I really wanted a soft long-sleeve white tee. Something I could layer, wear alone, and lounge around the house in. I have heard this Stem tee was soft and comfy. I can confirm this is one of my softest tees!! I am definitely consider buying another white one and one in black while they are still on sale! I’m wearing a cami under mine because they are slightly sheer and I hate if there is even the slightest chance my bra will show through, but around the house I don’t wear the cami underneath because it isn’t that sheer. I’m also excited to welcome my new crossbody bag to my purse family! I have had my eye on this bag since it was released in early fall. I love the saddlebag look to a bag, plus it holds more than some of my thinner crossbody bags. I love the taupe shade because it works with a wide range of colors. This is one of those bags that I can carry year round and for years to come, so definitely worth the investment!

My Black Friday and Cyber Monday purchases officially started rolling in last week! One of my favorite things about online shopping, other than I can do it in my pajamas, is when the packages start to arrive! Even though I know what is in them, it is still exciting to rip open the box and check out the goods! I actually first saw this sweater while shopping at Nordstrom a few weeks prior to Black Friday. I really liked it, but it came in 3 colors and I couldn’t decide which one I wanted to buy. I decided to hold off until I could decide on a color. Fast forward a few weeks later, and I found this sweater included in their Black Friday markdowns!! Bonus, this sweater is STILL marked down to $20!! This sweater is on the thinner side which is often what I look for in sweaters. I mean it’s December and we are finally in the fall season down here in Texas, so I buy the majority of my sweaters on the thinner side. I decided on the teal shade because it’s a color I don’t own too much of yet, but I love this color! The other two colors are burgundy which I’m obsessed with and black also one of my color crushes. Also, just a sizing note. I typically wear a medium in this brand, but ordered in a small after reading reviews. The small fits perfect so I’m happy I chose to go down a size! Also, my boots are on sale again! My closet definitely does not hold all my clothes. I am currently super jealous of one of my friends who is turning a spare bedroom into a closet! Until that day comes for me, I will stick with my current system of packing away my seasonal clothes twice a year. It is kind of fun at the start of fall/winter to open up my totes of sweaters, boots, and jackets. Texas fall and winter is all of like 4 months, so I haven’t seen most of these clothes since about April. It is almost as exciting as getting new clothes, almost. 🙂 I also love to start mixing my old and new winter items together. I love to hit up J.Crew for some basic winter sweaters. They have a timeless look to them, and they are great quality. I usually buy 2 or 3 from them every year. This sweater pairs so perfectly with my new quilted vest from Old Navy. I always have to have something attention getting in my outfit, and this necklace is just that. I love how it peeks out from under the vest. Layering is a fall and winter staple for me! One of my favorite ways to layer is to pair short sweaters with longer tops. I love using some of my summer tops and tanks to get a few extra out of season wears from them. I also love to layer printed blouses under solid sweaters! I love to see the print peeking out at the bottom and at the end of the sleeves. You can also roll back the sleeves on the bottom shirt so more of the print shows. I paired the layered look with my black flared skirt. At last check it was sold out, so I also linked a similar version. This skirt is another closet staple for me that I wear year round! You may remember me talking about buying these boots a week or two ago. I have worn them a couple times and they are really comfortable! They have a slight padding in the bottom which was honestly weird when I first put my foot in, but I think it helps with the comfy factor. I have worn them with both dresses and jeans, and they are super cute with both! Don’t worry these will be all over the blog this winter, so you will see them styled different ways quite a bit! If you are still looking for some Thanksgiving outfit ideas, this look would definitely be a cute one!
