Hey Ya’ll!! I hope everyone had a great Father’s Day weekend.  My dad loved the hat I bought him.  I ended up getting him this one.  He really liked it and even wore it around for a bit.

With this holiday over, it’s time to look forward to the next summer holiday, 4th of July!!  Can you believe it is only two weeks away?!?!  We are heading to a friend’s house to pop some fireworks on the 3rd.  It’s always a fun party, and real casual laid back style.  Also, lots of outside time for fireworks.

For my 4th of July outfit, I’m planning on going comfy, casual, and a hint of festive.   I also need something for hot weather.  I bought these shorts last year.  I found them on sale because they have flag pockets, and I bought them after the 4th.  I linked them so you could see the full description.  You can still find them on various resale sites if you really like them, just google search them.  Since my shorts have a little festive vibe to them, I will probably pair them with a red top.  I love wearing red and navy on the 4th.  I think it is a great way to add a little festive color without being to obvious about it.  If you are all about the patriotic tanks, I found this really cute one that would look cute with some distressed shorts.

The top in this post is not available online, but I did find a similar one and a really cute off the shoulder version.  One of my favorite things about cold shoulder tops is they often have the look of off the shoulder, but the straps help hold them on so no band around your arm.  This also makes them looser and breath a little better on hot days.  I love the embroidered lace details on this one.  It covers you up just a little bit more, and provides something eye-catching to the solid color top.
