I feel like my favorite neutral color crush right now is gray. It’s such a soft and pretty color. It mixes well with others, but looks great all by itself too. It has such an effortless chic look to it. I loved keeping this whole look neutral by pairing my gray with white jeans and silver and white jewelry. Of course, I just had to add a pop of color somewhere though. This clutch is always my go-to color pop.
I was so excited to see this sweater back at Nordstrom this season. It’s high up on my list of favorites from last year! You can easily dress it up with a great pair of heels and cute jewels for a little dinner date or holiday dinner, or toss it on with some leggings to relax around the house while watching all the Hallmark Holiday movies. It’s really cozy, so however you wear it, you will be comfy. AND Best Part – It’s only $38! That’s a steal of a price for a sweater!
On a small different note, if you had any issues with links on the blog on Friday, apparently there was some huge nationwide computer hack that made outbound links not work to certain sites. BUT everything seems to be back up and running now. Sorry I know it was probably super frustrating, but it was one of things where it was just out of my hands. Thanks so much for taking time out of your day to visit, I always appreciate it!!

A Chic Utility Vest Outfit

NYDJ White Blouse | YMI c/o Utility Vest | AG Distressed Jeans | STEVE MADDEN Blush Heels | STREET LEVEL Reversible Tote Bag | MOON & LOLA all c/o Pink Tassel Charm, Pearl Charm, Monogram Charm, Necklace | BOURBON & BOWTIES Bangle Set | KENDRA SCOTT Sophie Gold Earrings | GORJANA Mika Necklace | Lips: MAC Craving | Nails: ESSIE Sole Mate
Give me something casual, and I’m going to find a way to dress it up! I adore the look of utility vests with swing and shift dresses and how they give the dresses shape, but they are also really fun to dress up with distressed jeans and heels! It creates a chic utility vest outfit perfect for weekends.
I went with a white blouse to keep with the neutrals look, but I think a cute floral blouse would be cute in this outfit too. I chose the distressed jeans to blend with the casual vibe of the vest, and I kept them skinny to balance the bulkiness of the vest. This outfit needed a little bit of color, enter my Moon & Lola charm necklace! We created these at TBSCon over the summer. I went with the hot pink tassel because the color was so fun, and an oversized pearl and monogram K because I’m from the south. 🙂
This blouse is lightweight and comes in tons of colors and prints. It’s perfect for a warm fall. We are expected to get a real taste of fall weather this weekend, and I have my chili ready! I just need to go find me a pumpkin candle, and I will be set. Ya’ll have a great day, and make sure to check back Friday for lots of fall outfit inspiration!

Pink Suede Flats

LUSH Olive Tunic **On Sale | AG JEANS Distressed Jeans | SAM EDELMAN Spiked Pink Flats | VERA BRADLEY c/o Sagebrush Satchel | KENDRA SCOTT Sophie Earrings, Rae Necklace | GORJANA Taner Pave Necklace | BAUBLEBAR Slim Bangle, Pave Links Bracelet | RAYBAN Aviators | Lips: MAC Faux | Nails: ESSIE Sole Mate
I talk about my love to mix colors quite a bit, well it feels like that to me at least. My favorite color mixing season is probably fall. I love to mix the dark seasonal colors and jewel tones. One of my favorite base colors to mix with is olive. It works really well with warmer jewel tones like burgundy, purple, and dark pink. This outfit is easily something I would wear to work on casual Friday (probably with non-distressed jeans) or on weekends to dinner, brunch, or just running errands.
These pink suede flats have been on my radar since the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I passed on them because I was over budget. My birthday landed me a few gift cards, and they immediately landed in my cart. The pointed toe on these gives them a classic, sophisticated, and professional look, but they have these little spikes around the heel that gives them a little edge. I think this particular shade of dark pink is a major selling point. It’s dark enough for fall and winter, but still bright enough for spring and summer.
The first time I wore them out, the heel felt narrow. The second time they had stretched just enough, and now are really comfortable. They come in a few other color options too. I considered the cognac brown ones, but I didn’t like that the spikes were gold. I love anything with a heel, but I will always consider a great ballet style flat to be a fall and winter staple.
