Hello, Hello! How was ya’lls weekend?? I was able to hang out with some girlfriends of mine and catch up over a couple glasses of wine, so it was definitely a fun weekend. We are full speed ahead now to our long 4th of July weekend. Have you decided what to wear for the 4th of July yet?
I wanted to share one more 4th of July outfit idea with ya’ll today. This one is a bit more casual, but still has some dress me up accessories. A navy or red striped tee is an easy grab for a patriotic outfit. Ya’ll this tee is super thick, comfy, and stretchy. I love the longer sleeves, perfect for wearing to work with a skirt. It’s only $30 too. I was really surprised by the high quality of it with only a $30 price tag. It comes in a bunch of solid colors too, so I might have to by another one.
Of course, white jeans obsessed me over here had to pair my striped tee with white jeans. I mean is there any other way. 😉 I added these super fun gold tassel earrings and my sparkly bracelet to dress the look up a bit.
For shoes, I went with my current favorite wedges, but you could also pair this outfit with a flat sandal too. If you have been eyeing these wedges and wondering about comfort, I can confirm that they are comfy. I have worn them out a few times where a small amount of walking was involved and had no issues. The caged design is a very supportive shoe design. I find all my caged sandals to be my most comfy.
Alright you guys, it’s link up day!!! Share your latest style below or just head on down to find a little more outfit inspiration, and stay tuned to Instagram this weekend to see what I finally decide to wear for my 4th of July celebrations. I have like 6 outfit ideas, and one party to go to. Do you think they will notice if I have outfit changes? 🙂

Can you believe it’s almost July?!?! We are officially heading into the heart of summer! Hello pool time, although I’m not looking forward to crazy heat that I’m sure is on it’s way. Have you made your 4th of July plans yet? We have a few options including heading outside the city limits to pop fireworks at a friend’s house. It’s always a pretty fun time.
Almost as important as deciding what to do is deciding what to wear for 4th of July. I love nods to patriotic colors, and this navy dress would be so perfect if you want something a little nicer than shorts. It would be perfect for an outdoor daytime event because it’s super lightweight and the material breaths really well. Plus, I mean the tiered ruffle skirt just says ready for fun.
You could add a little red with your earrings or even these adorable star ones, but I just fell in love with the way these turquoise stone earrings looked next to the navy. They perfectly compliment each other, but the earrings still pop. I added in a few neutrals with my shoes and bag to keep my earth tone vibe going on.
I’m finally showing you guys how these wedges look with a dress!! I feel like I’ve said it a few times, so I’m excited to finally show you! The deep cut of the front really helps from cutting me off and making me look short and stumpy. I find this can happen with some wedges depending on the design at the top.
So what are your plans for the 4th?? Thanks for stopping by this week and have a fabulous weekend!

Gray Short Sleeve Cardigan & Link Up

Gray Short Sleeve Cardigan | White Tee | Distressed Jeans | Neutral Heels | Long Coin Pendant Necklace | Reversible Tote Bag | Cuff Bracelet | Elle White Earrings | Silver Bangle | Silver Mirror Aviators | Nails: Essie Minimalistic
Hello Hello! How was your weekend?!? We had so much fun down in Galveston. It was perfect beach weather – warm with a good breeze. We also ate at some yummy new to us restaurants too. Overall a very successful little beach getaway. We are already trying to decide when to go back.
I feel like this outfit is kind of basic, but I just love it. Sometimes putting a few simple pieces together can really turn into a gorgeous, chic, sophisticated outfit. It’s no secret long cardigans are one of my favorite add ons. With the weather warmer, I start reaching for sleeveless and short sleeve versions. This gray short sleeve cardigan is so cozy. It’s one of those pieces I will wear to work a ton with dresses, pencil skirts, and my skinny work pants, but I love how it easily dresses up something as simple as a plain white tee.
Speaking of plain white tshirts, LOVE this one! It’s on the pricey end at $32 for a basic tee, but I think it’s worth it. For starters, it’s super soft and not super clingy. Best of all, it’s not see-through!!!!!!!!! I feel like this is the hardest thing to find with white tees these days. I wear this with a nude bra underneath, and it’s perfect! I ordered a small, but I will probably consider a XS if I order another color. I like the slightly loose fit of the small with the white, but I could also go for a more fitted look too.
I hope ya’lls week is off to a wonderful start! It’s Style File Link Up day, so be sure to scroll on down and join in on the fun! Thanks for stopping by!

Spring and Summer Wardrobe Staples
White Tunic | Blue Skinny Jeans | Neutral Wedge Sandals | Brown Tote Bag | Rayne Necklace in Magenta | c/o Feather Earrings | Pave Links Bracelet | Mika Necklace | Rayban Erika Sunglasses | Nails: Essie Minimalistic
Hello from Galveston! We drove up last night and plan to hit up a couple hot spots this morning before all the weekenders arrive, and then relax on the beach all afternoon. I am so ready for this mini-vacation.
I wanted to share a few of my spring and summer wardrobe staples today. Wardrobe staples are the base of any great closet. They are the pieces that can be mixed and matched into a multitude of outfits all season long. A great pair of non-distressed jeans is key to any wardrobe really year round. For spring and summer, I like the mid-blue shade for a lighter look. I also keep a few pairs unaltered so I can create a cute cuffed look. The cuff looks cute with wedges, sneakers, and flat sandals.
A great neutral wedge sandal is must have shoe for spring and summer. I try to find one in a shade that will mix with both cool and warm color tones. Versatility from the sandal design is also important. I want a wedge that will work with dresses, jeans, and shorts. I find a design that has either a slight or deep dip in the front best for this range. The ones featured are a good example of a deep dip with the addition of laces around the ankle.
A basic white blouse is another wardrobe staple that is really great year round. You can layer with it in the fall, and this season use it as a backdrop for all the fun and colorful statement jewelry available. I also like white because it keeps you a bit cooler.
My brown and black tote bag is easily one of my best bag purchases. A good sized tote bag is great for days when you need to carry all the things. A reversible one is also perfect because you can pick the color that works best with your outfit for the day.
Summer time also often means vacation time and having these wardrobe staples can also help you pack lighter. You can carry the same bag, re-wear the jeans and wedges, and even remix a white blouse into casual and dressy looks. What are some of your spring and summer wardrobe staples?
Ya’ll have a good weekend. I am going to go get my sun on!
