Meet one of my favorite cozy sweaters! Of all my new winter sweaters, this oversized gray sweater is probably top of my favorites list. I wore this 3 times one week because it’s that good. The oversized fit and thick knit fabric make it warm and comfy cozy. The tunic length works great for both jeans and leggings.
When I wear a crew neck top, I love to pair it with a layered necklace. I think it adds just a hint of sparkle and breaks up the solid color of the top. To transition this oversized gray sweater into spring, you can pair it with light blue and white jeans. I love adding in the brown to add a pop of color and contrast to the gray. If you opt for white jeans, you could add in a neutral flat or fun kitten heel sandal.
We have a busy weekend over here with lots of errands and items to cross off our home and wedding to do lists followed by a family fun day on Sunday. If you are on Instagram, I have white cocktail dress try on this weekend too. You check it out on my Instagram account @karenkocich. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Well what a week we’ve had here in Texas! Shortly after finishing my post last week, our house lost power again and didn’t come back on for 2 days. We ended up spending the week with family who had power and water. When we finally came back home, we were extremely grateful to find that no pipes burst while we were gone. I was so excited to start a new week yesterday and get back into my routine.
I’m happy to be saying goodbye to winter, but I’m going to miss some of my cute sweaters. Although a few might get another wear or two since I’m cold-natured. This green alpine sweater is so soft and comfy! The sleeves are meant to be rolled once, but I will roll them more to create a 3/4 length sleeve when I’m a little warm. Pairing this sweater with skinny jeans and tall brown boots gives me major ski trip vibes. I think this look would be great for a winter vacation or just a casual day out and about.

Well, I wasn’t sure if I was going to get this post out for you today. I had a full day of blog work and wedding tasks planned for my day off yesterday. We woke up to snow here in Houston which is a rarity. We sometimes get ice, but not snow. We took a few pics, and then we lost power. Most of Houston did as the Texas power grid was a little overwhelmed with all of us warm weather loving Texans trying to keep warm in some historically low temps. We were one of the lucky ones, our power came back on late in the afternoon and is still on as I’m writing this post. Keeping fingers crossed that we keep it as the weather dips back into record lows overnight.
Normally by mid-Februrary, I’d be transitioning my winter wardrobe into spring. Cropped sweaters were a favorite of mine this winter season, and I think they are perfect for transitioning into Spring. I love the bounce and volume of these sweaters. It reminds me of some of the fun movement filled silhouettes of spring tops and dresses. The cropped length is also perfect for pairing with shorts as the weather warms up. For cooler days, light blue jeans and a lighter color bootie will give this winter top a spring time feel.
This red sweater is soo soft!! It been perfect to lounge around the house in and for my work from attire. I like the cowl neck design of it. It keeps me warm but not too restricting. I paired it with my high waisted jeans, but it also works with mid-rise jeans and leggings.
Hope you are all staying warm and cozy today!

Well, I have some exciting news for the week! I purchased my wedding dress earlier this week which is also why this post is a little late. After spending two weekends trying on dresses, I headed back to one of the stores after work to try back on my favorite and was sold. As a lover of playing dress up, I really wish I could have like 3 or 4 dress changes throughout the night!
Speaking of playing dress up, this houndstooth coat is the perfect statement coat to dress up any outfit. It has a cocoon shape which gives it a chic and classic silhouette. Houndstooth print is pretty on trend right now, and this black and white print also has a timeless feel.
I wore this with an all black ensemble and brown heels a few weekends ago. I could not pass on the opportunity to show you a little print mix by pairing this coat with a thin striped turtleneck. A colorful floral top would also be a great print pairing. The cocoon one-button style of this coat makes it perfect to pair over a sheath dress for work or date night. This black and white print would be perfect with a fun pop of color underneath like a dark pink fitted dress.
We have some freezing temps headed in this weekend, so I may have a few more chances to wear this coat before winter ends!
