How to Style A Tunic Sweater
HOW TO STYLE A TUNIC SWEATER
While I’ve been loving styling the short and cropped sweaters this winter season, I decided I wanted a few longer sweaters in my winter wardrobe too. A sweater that could work with leggings for work from home days and be styled up a little for heading out of the house. Being petite, I try to be sure the longer sweater doesn’t overwhelm my shorter height. I wanted to share a few tips on how to style a tunic sweater this winter season.
My main goal with this green tunic sweater was to wear it with leggings. With a long and boxy sweater, I don’t want to add volume to my legs. It’s almost like making this a mini dress by pairing it with a good black pair of leggings. It helps keep my proportions balanced. I chose my comfy leggings and black leather boots. You could also pair this with black leather leggings and suede boots to dress it up a bit. If you want to have that same balanced look with jeans, I would opt for a skinny jean. I think a distressed skinny jeans and nude colored heels would be perfect.
Another tip is to play with an elongated illusion with your color choice for pants and shoes. I purposefully chose black leggings and black boots. Since the two are the same color, it elongates the look of my leg by not having a breaking point in color. With jeans, I would opt for a flesh toned shoe which can help with this same illusion.
While not always, I sometimes like to pull my hair back in a low bun when wearing high neck tops and longer tops. I think it helps elongate the look of your neck and face and can help add the look of length to your overall frame.
For this green tunic sweater, I opted for a size XS since it is already a boxy oversized fit. The sleeves are fitted which are so nice when working around the house. I love that I’m not constantly pushing my sleeves up to get them out of the way. This sweater comes in a few different color options, but this dark green was so gorgeous. I could not pass it up.

White Chunky Knit Sweater
I love a chic winter white moment. This white chunky knit sweater is perfect for dressing both up and down. It has a loose fitting mock turtleneck design with a classic chunky knit style. The looser knit on the front does need a tank top underneath as it makes it just a tiny bit open in spots. I love all the different direction of the knit to create a design and unique look to make this more than just your average white sweater. The sleeves are a loose dolman sleeve design.
For a classic winter outfit, I styled this with my dark blue bootcut jeans and peep toe heeled booties for a casual work outfit or for heading out to dinner with your gal pals. It’s an easy outfit formula that can be replicated with a few closet staples. A shorter chunky knit sweater like this one also pairs well with pencil skirts for a more professional office outfit.
Sizing Note: I’m wearing the size Small. I usually do an XS in this brand, but I decided to go up one for a looser fit and added coziness.

Casual Valentine’s Day Outfit | Pink Tunic Sweater
I know we are still a month out until Valentine’s day, but this pink tunic sweater is going fast! I knew if I waited much longer it might sell out in this light pink shade, and you would have missed out on the softest sweater. This oversized sweater feels like I’m wearing a blanket. The material is so soft and the perfect thickness. Oversized long sweaters give me all the warm and cozy feels during the colder months. I wanted a few long sweaters that I could pair with leggings for lazy days at home.
While this pink tunic sweater looks perfect with leggings, it transforms into a perfect casual Valentine’s Day outfit with the addition of my distressed jeans and booties. The light pink shade and light blue wash of the jeans perfectly compliment each other. These two pieces also create the perfect contrast between the softness of the sweater and ripped marks on the jeans. Since my overall look was a light color tone, I chose a lighter shoe with my light tan booties. A flat would work perfect here too, but I like a shoe with a small amount of heel. It helps add a little height to my look which helps with this longer sweater and my petite height.
Are you planning a casual or dressy look this Valentine’s Day?

What to Wear as the Bride to Be for Wedding Events
Planning a wedding is fun, but planning the outfits for all the wedding activities is really fun. One of the best parts of planning outfits for all of your wedding events is they can be as dressy as you want because you are the bride. As someone who loves a good statement look, this fit me perfectly. For my bride to be outfits, I looked for chic, white of course, and classic with a statement piece or two. I also tried to pick dresses that fit the event whether that was the theme or location.
Since most of these outfits were from last summer, a couple dresses are sold out. I still wanted to share everything I wore as inspiration for all brides to be out there trying to figure out what to wear to bridal showers, the bachelorette party, and rehearsal dinner. Luckily for all my brides to be out there, many of these looks are still available!
