Easing In to Fall Outfits

Oh Hello October! I guess it’s time to start easing into more fall outfit ideas! I’m all about trying to find ways to mix and match my wardrobe items across seasons. This fun summer babydoll tank top was an easy one to transition into fall. The colors are a fun summer bold, but lean to the slightly darker side making them pair perfectly with a pair of dark blue flared jeans and brown suede heels for a fall outfit. If your fall is on the warmer side like mine, this outfit would be perfect for a date night or brunch on a patio.
My flared jeans get so much use in the fall! I love how they create a dressier look and look great paired with heels. I tried to grab another pair during the NSale, but they sold out fast. Luckily, the price is in the affordable range, so I’ll probably still be adding a new pair soon.

Red Apron Mini Dress

Attention Nordstrom Shoppers, we have officially started tier 2 Anniversary access today! If you are looking for some help navigating the sale, you can find all of my picks on my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale page and curated collages and outfit shares on my LTK Page. I’m working on getting a blog post up for you guys on Friday pending I don’t get busy with wedding tasks.
But before we start shopping for fall, let’s talk about this cute little red apron mini dress. The style of the dress is similar to overalls. It’s completely open in the back with straps that button at the top of the skirt. From the front it reminds me of an apron which is why I call it my apron dress. This fun and flirty red dress is probably one of my summer favorites so far. I’ve worn it around the house with a bandeau bra and lace bralette which does show a little bit more skin. A few weeks ago I wore it over a fitted white tshirt, but my favorite way to style this dress is with a fitted tank top.
It really let’s the smock detailing and print on this dress shine to keep the top simple. I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to pair this small floral print with my white butterfly earrings. I think the white of the earrings helps pull out the lighter colors in the print of the dress.

Pink Bow Tie Tank Top

Hello Hello and Happy Monday!! I’m so excited to finally have some summer outfits to share with you! The rain here has been crazy and made it so hard to get outfit photos. Earlier last week, I put my foot down and told Steve that we were going to just do the photos indoors that night. Sure enough the rain stopped that morning, and we finally got our shoot in! This means I have lots of fun new summer outfits coming in the next few weeks. AND since it’s July, it also means it’s time for Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Top tier cardholders start shopping today! Are you shopping the sale this year??
I’m planning to place my order later this week when my tier opens up. My coverage will be a bit different this year because right in the middle of the sale I am going on my first vacation in TWO years. I plan to take some time to relax and enjoy it, so I won’t be able to put all of my normal content together. BUT I still want to help you shop the sale where you need it. So let me know in the comments what style boards you would like to see this year whether it is a specific item or style like casual or workwear. I’m here for you.
Now let’s talk about this fun summer outfit! I wore this out July 4th weekend to a Friday happy hour with friends. We sat outside, and it is a heat approved outfit! I love the pink and white combo, it has such a stylish and chic vibe. The bows on the sleeves are my favorite part! Such a fun statement factor! This top is a thick knit and fitted. It also comes in 3 other colors if pink is not your favorite. I’m wearing a size small.
I love all the white bottoms for summer, so a white jean skirt was only a matter of time for me. This one has a high waisted fit, so I sized up one. It’s a good length and has just a bit of distressing which helps dress down fancier tops like my pink bow tie tank top. I tossed on some slide sandals and my go to stone bangles to complete this happy hour or brunch ready look.

What I Wore in June

The rain streak in Houston continued for our long holiday weekend, but we did manage to get in a bit of summer sun and pool time on the 4th of July. How was your weekend?
We started hitting 100 degree days already in June, so lots of shorts, breezy tops, and dresses made the list for my summer outfits of last month. A few items already sold out, but I found some similar items for you or linked the same item in a different shade. The white embroidered dress was perfect for a bridal shower, the utility pants were perfect for a casual night in, and my boho chic crochet top was perfect for an afternoon with friends.
Check out the summer outfit inspiration and let me know which is your favorite!
