Happy Friday friends!! It never comes soon enough. 🙂 I am quite excited for this weekend because my family and I are celebrating my grandmother’s birthday! Plus, the weather is expected to be absolutely gorgeous, so it should be a great celebration.
I wore this look to a little Galentine’s Happy Hour with my girlfriends a couple weeks back. I am quite obsessed with this top. I was so nervous when I ordered it about how it would look in person, but ya’ll it totally lives up to the picture. It combines to hot trends this season- sheer material and embroidery. I love that it is a little bit flowy on the bottom while being fitted in the sleeves and shoulder. I did choose to size up, and I am happy I did. I am wearing a medium, and it fits perfectly.
This top has a bit more of a pretty feminine feel, so I paired it with my distressed jeans to add a little edge. I kept my jewelry minimal to not distract from the floral design. My pink clutch was the perfect pop of color addition to compliment instead of compete with the embroidery.
Ya’ll have a great weekend! I plan to eat lots of cake and maybe sip a little champagne. 🙂 I’ll see you back here on Monday!

The Sweater Coat aka My New Long Cardigan
| OUTFIT DETAILS |
Striped Sweater Coat | White Blouse | Distressed Skinny Jeans | Lace-Up Heels | Long Pendant Necklace | c/o Statement Earrings | Silver Bangle Bracelet | Silver Cuff Bracelet | Chevron Ring | Similar Purple Purse | Mirrored Aviators | Lips: MAC Craving | Nails: c/o Essie Party on a Platform
Just when I thought I had enough long cardigans, I stumbled upon this gorgeous sweater coat. It’s called a sweater coat, so totally different than a long cardigan right?!?! The structure of this coat helps create a polished and professional look, but the sweater knit material makes it oh so soft and cozy. Also, it has pockets! I loved the gray and black stripe to add a simple neutral print to any look. I paired it with distressed jeans and one of my favorite white blouses for a dressed up casual look perfect for brunch or a casual dinner date. For work, toss this coat over a simple black dress to instantly create a super polished office-friendly winter look.
I went with heels for this look, because I am petite. Whenever I wear a longer coat, I feel the addition of the heels helps with proportion balance. This look would easily work with a cute pair of flats too. You could choose shoes in a fun color like teal or pink to add a little colorful personality to the outfit. This outfit is just missing that brunch mimosa!
Thank you for taking some time out of you week to stop by and visit. I hope you have a wonderful long weekend! I have 2 books to read and lots of fun blogging things to work on including a little something new I have been working on. I’m a perfectionist, so I ‘m not going to tell you about it until it’s all pretty and ready. I can tell you I’m really excited about it, and I am hoping to be able to share one day next week!! Stay tuned and Happy Friday!

A Chic Utility Vest Outfit

NYDJ White Blouse | YMI c/o Utility Vest | AG Distressed Jeans | STEVE MADDEN Blush Heels | STREET LEVEL Reversible Tote Bag | MOON & LOLA all c/o Pink Tassel Charm, Pearl Charm, Monogram Charm, Necklace | BOURBON & BOWTIES Bangle Set | KENDRA SCOTT Sophie Gold Earrings | GORJANA Mika Necklace | Lips: MAC Craving | Nails: ESSIE Sole Mate
Give me something casual, and I’m going to find a way to dress it up! I adore the look of utility vests with swing and shift dresses and how they give the dresses shape, but they are also really fun to dress up with distressed jeans and heels! It creates a chic utility vest outfit perfect for weekends.
I went with a white blouse to keep with the neutrals look, but I think a cute floral blouse would be cute in this outfit too. I chose the distressed jeans to blend with the casual vibe of the vest, and I kept them skinny to balance the bulkiness of the vest. This outfit needed a little bit of color, enter my Moon & Lola charm necklace! We created these at TBSCon over the summer. I went with the hot pink tassel because the color was so fun, and an oversized pearl and monogram K because I’m from the south. 🙂
This blouse is lightweight and comes in tons of colors and prints. It’s perfect for a warm fall. We are expected to get a real taste of fall weather this weekend, and I have my chili ready! I just need to go find me a pumpkin candle, and I will be set. Ya’ll have a great day, and make sure to check back Friday for lots of fall outfit inspiration!
