White Embroidered Blouse

White Embroidered Blouse
How fun is this top?!? This white embroidered blouse is the perfect end of summer item that with a quick jean color switch can transition in to fall. I paired this top with my high waisted jeans for a summer look perfect for grabbing brunch or dinner with your gal pals. The flowy style of this top and cross stitch pattern are really fun, and my pink bow heels were the perfect pairing. Both are fun and colorful and give all the summer style vibes. If you look closely, you can see little embroidered flowers on the white portion of the top.
To transition this top into fall, trade the medium blue jeans for a dark blue or black pair of jeans. A brown pair of booties or boots will complete the fall look. This top is a bit sheer and needs a cami underneath it.
Sizing Notes: This top is oversized, so you may want to consider sizing down. I’m wearing an XS. These jeans are a TTS fit. I ordered a half size up on the shoes which I noticed were on sale.

Long Sleeve Black Dress

I hope ya’ll are ready for Spring dress season! I might have another fun floral print coming later this month plus a few more en route. I find them so comfy to wear around the house, great for any wedding events or small gatherings, and it’s nice to change out of all those winter sweaters and leggings. With the extra time at home, I’m leaning towards loose and flowy fits.
This long sleeve black dress fits the bill perfectly. A great way to transition these flowy dresses to a more put together look is to add a belt. You can keep it monochromatic with black, a nuetral like brown, or a pop of color like pink or mint green. I love the added feminine detail of the tiered layer skirt. I noticed this dress is limited in sizing, so I decided to link a similar one as well. It seems like everyone is stocking up for dress season this Spring! Also, there is a new version of my wedge sandals this season! I love the black striping on them. It adds a fun statement factor to a solid colored look.

Denim Jumpsuit

Happy September and Happy Fall-ish! I know it’s still sweltering hot here in Houston. Although, I did see some cooler temps in the forecast for next week. With a long weekend ahead of us, I’m planning to soak up the sun with some time by the pool and do a little closet organization. Since our house needs and wants list is still a bit long, we will probably take advantage of the Labor Day Sales to cross a thing or two off.
Since March, Steve and I have been out on TWO date nights. Well one of them was technically a day date, but I’m counting it. When one of our couple friends asked us out for a casual double date, we jumped at the chance to spend a night out of the house catching up with friends. I also took the chance to dress up a little in this denim jumpsuit. It’s such a cute piece for date night. I wore it with wedges, but I think I much prefer it with the pops of color in my shoes and earrings.
I have stayed away from the jumpsuit trend because I haven’t found one that fit right yet. This one fit perfect, and I love that the bottom can be rolled up to work for my petite height. The fitted style of this denim number makes it perfect to wear all by itself, but you can easily get double duty by wearing these as overalls with a fitted top underneath. See them worn here with an off the shoulder top. You can dress them up with a pretty lace top or dress them down with a fitted tshirt. Also, this jumpsuit does have small cutout on the back, but it’s still bra-friendly.
Hope you all have a fabulous long weekend!

Dark Floral Off the Shoulder Top

Hello Hello! Today’s look really makes me want to go grab brunch with my gals because this is exactly what I would wear! My dark floral off the shoulder top pairs perfectly with white cotton shorts or white denim for summer and easily transitions into fall with black or dark wash jeans. I wore this top to our house closing with light wash denim, and the two complimented each other perfectly.
The off the shoulder area has a smocked detail which I think helps hold it in place. It does move a bit, but it stays down pretty well. The bottom is a banded waist which I think is perfect for pairing with shorts! It gives the look of a tucked in top without actually dealing with keeping it perfectly tucked in.
How was your weekend? I really started tackling the organization of my bathroom and closet and made some good progress. I made a Target run for some under the sink containers and ordered these bins to help create a dresser area in the master closet. My next big project will be to organize all my hanging clothes again. I like them in order of sleeve length and style like all my plaids together, solid tanks together, going out tops together, etc. Do you organize your hanging clothes or just toss them all in?
