Floral Mini Dress with Sleeves

FLORAL MINI DRESS WITH SLEEVES
Ready to add all the spring dresses to your closet? This little mini dress is a must and can be dressed up and down. I wore it with block heel sandals for church a few weekends ago. I think it would be the perfect Easter dress. You could also pair it with a simple nude colored pair of pumps instead of a sandal. In addition to Easter, this dress and heels combo will also be perfect for any bridal showers you have this spring or summer.
Now let’s switch over to a more casual side. A flat pair of sandals or wedges is the way to to go to dress this down a bit for a casual brunch or even a casual Easter lunch. You can also toss a denim jacket over this dress to give it a more casual look. The sleeves have a puffy look, but they lay flat under a jacket. The dress and jacket combo with a pair of cowboy boots will be perfect for rodeo for all my Texas gals. See that western inspired outfit here.
With the ability to dress up and down, this tiered skirt dress will give you lots of versatility in your closet this spring and summer. I love all the details on this dress from the purple floral print, smock bodice detailing, fun and flirty tiered skirt, and you know I love a statement sleeve. It all works perfectly together for the essential spring dress. I’m wearing this dress in a size small.

What is everyone’s Easter plans? We are having a small family gathering at my Mom’s house. Even though it will be a pretty casual affair, I will probably still use the excuse to dress up and maybe even toss on an Easter dress. I wore this floral print dress for our engagment photos earlier this month, and I love the variety of places I can wear it including Easter.
If you are heading to a bridal shower or you are the bride-to-be, this floral print dress would be perfect for your spring or summer shower. The ruffles and cut of the bottom give this dress so much fun and flirty movement. I also love this for the office. You could toss a blazer on over and change the shoes to a pair of closed toe pumps. If you wanted to dress this down, try out a denim jacket (white or blue) and a pair of wedges. As I mentioned lots of variety with this one!
Sizing note: First, I’m wearing this in a petite, and I’m 5’3. I think it’s a great petite length. I also chose to size up to a small. This dress goes on over your head and some reviews mentioned that being difficult because the neck isn’t very stretchy which is why I decided to go up one. I didn’t have any issues getting it on, but you definitely want to wait until after you have it on to put the finishing touches on your hair. It’s a smock detailing across the chest, so the one size up also made this area fit better.

Pink Vintage Floral Dress

Looking for a wear now and wear later dress? This boxy shirtdress is perfect! I wore this pink vintage floral dress out for a grocery store run the other day. Since it was the first time that I’d left my apartment in awhile, I figured I would dress up for the occasion. This dress was so comfy that I ended up keeping it on for the rest of the day and evening. The oversized fit makes it the perfect dress to wear around the house because it makes it super comfy. If you are looking to mix up your at home look, I highly recommend a swing style dress!
For Spring and Summer, this pink dress will also work for any showers you have to attend. This dress is that good mix of dressy and casual. Your shoes and accessories really decide on the final look. Flat sandals or wedges will dress down the look and give you something more casual for weekend brunch or a family gathering.
My favorite part of this dress is the pink vintage floral print. It’s really what sold me on this dress. It is such a gorgeous and feminine print. A heads up on sizing, this dress runs really big! I’m wearing an XXS. I would recommend going down 1-2 sizes on this dress.
If you also follow me on Instagram, you saw that I am doing Whole 30 for the month of April. I figured it was kind of a good time with no plans happening this month. The beginning usually leaves you a little tired, and I have definitely been feeling it. I slept 9 hours one night!! I couldn’t believe it. I think this round has been easier than my first time, probably because of the stay at home. It’s helping not snack all day for sure. I’m planning to spend my long Easter weekend prepping some fun new content for you guys and relaxing a bit. I hope ya’ll have a happy and fabulous Easter Weekend!

Casual Easter Outfit

Well Houston is officially on a Stay Home, Work Safe Order for all of April. Since my grandmother is in her 80s and my father has a compromised immune system, I think Easter is going to look a little different this year. Last year, I invited Steve to my family’s Easter celebration. It was a meet the parents, cousins, aunts, uncles, sister, and grandma kinda day. This year, it looks like it might be just the two of us, and the dogs.
Originally, I picked out this coral top to be part of my casual Easter outfit. I love this color for spring, and it really pops against the white denim. If you plan to dress up a little for Easter Sunday, this outfit would still work! You could trade out the heels for some flat sandals or slides. I really want this pair for a fun and sparkly casual shoe! To get more wears out of this top, you could pair it with a light tan colored pencil skirt for the office or denim shorts for hot summer days.
How is everything going where you are? What do you think your Easter will look like this year? My dad has learned to FaceTime, so I’m sure mine will include some family FaceTime sessions and probably leggings.
