Classic Trench Coat & LINK UP

Hello friends! I’m sharing another Black Friday find and one closet must have that I’ve been on the hunt for for several years. A classic trench coat is a major closet staple for anyone. For years, I have been searching for just the right one. Perfect neutral color, right length, classic style, and the right price.
Club Monaco is one of my top places to window shop for classic pieces. The price range is a little out of my usual budget, but it’s one place I always visit during big sales. I found this trench coat on their site a few months ago, and I have been patiently waiting for Black Friday in hopes of a good discount. Ya’ll, I scored this jacket for over 50% off!! The quality of the jacket is amazing too. It’s perfectly cut and lined on the inside. I can tell it’s a coat I will have for decades.
Ya’ll be sure and scroll down to share your latest outfit ideas. Thanks for stopping by!

Athleisure Travel Outfit + The Best Black Leggings & LINK UP

If you thought I was going super casual last week, you haven’t seen anything yet. Ha! I know this one is a bit different then my normal dressy casual style, but I wanted to share a super comfy travel outfit for you guys. For many, holidays mean a flight or road trip is in the books. If you don’t have big travel plans, this look would also be the perfect athleisure outfit for errand running or tree hunting.
I know I say I love lots of different pieces of my wardrobe, and I do love all of them. BUT these leggings are one of my favorite things in my closet! I own two pairs of them because I wear them so much during the winter. They are called Live In Leggings, and I do just that. I wear them as loungewear around the house, under tunic sweaters and tops outside of the house, and under skirts and dresses for those really cold days at work.
The best thing about these leggings, besides being super comfy, they are not see through! The material is super thick, so no worries of your panties peeking through. Despite the thicker material, these leggings are still so comfy and have a lightweight feel to them. When I was grabbing the link to share with ya’ll, I saw they have over 3,000 5-Star reviews, so I guess I’m not the only one obsessed with them.
For those of you curious on sizing, I’m a 27 in jeans, and I wear a small in these. They are a little long on my petite frame. I let the material bunch up around my ankle. You can see it in some of the pictures.
As for the rest of my athleisure travel outfit, this olive cocoon pullover is the perfect lightweight top for a Texas winter. I love the looser fit for traveling. If you are on a road trip or plane, it makes it easier to move around in your seat and makes me overall just more comfortable. Also, these sneakers are really comfy for walking. I wear these for my gym workouts and some errand running, so they have been tested and approved.
I hope ya’ll are having a great week so far! Don’t forget to keep scrolling to check out today’s Style File Link Up. Thanks for stopping by.

Casual Fall Outfit for Weekends

We made it to the weekend, and I have a little outfit inspiration for that weekend too. December weekends are filled with two things – holiday events and ALL the errand running. From gift shopping to buying holiday decor like trees to hitting up the grocery store, December weekends are busy ones! I wanted to share a simple, casual fall outfit for weekends with long to-do lists.
As much as I love being all dressed up, I also LOVE comfy and cozy especially as the temps start to drop. Cozy and soft sweatshirts are a must have for weekend errand running. The slouchy sweatshirt is a favorite style of mine. You can pair it with a lace bralette and some jeans, and not only are you comfy but a little bit trendy too. A second way I wear mine is over my workout clothes to the gym. I usually hit up the grocery store afterwards, so I like the added layer to keep me warm.
Over the shopping holiday, I ordered the black version of my bralette. I wear this ivory one ALL the time. It’s perfect for loungewear around the house or to dress up a casual outfit a bit. One thing, this particular one does not have a lot of support. I would compare the fit to a yoga sports bra.
I hope ya’ll have a good weekend. I have plans to do a little Christmas decorating and a good sweat session at the gym. A pretty low key weekend over here before the all the parties and events start up. I should probably do a bit more Christmas gift shopping too. I feel a bit behind on that right now. By the way, if you need some gift inspiration, you can check out my holiday page for gift ideas for him and her.

Little Black Holiday Dress + Link Up

Hello friends! So did you take advantage of all the amazing sales yesterday?? My favorite purchase from yesterday was my new fitbit. I have been wanting to upgrade to one that shows my step count, and the Heart Rate version was $50 off yesterday! I can’t wait to start using it. I’ll share a review with ya’ll in a month or two, once I have had a chance to test it out.
Now that Thanksgiving and Black Friday are in the books, it is time to start thinking about Christmas and New Year’s Eve Parties. You can never go wrong with a great little black holiday dress this time of year.
I originally purchased this dress to wear for a Vegas Bachelorette Party in October. When shopping for the perfect little black dress for the party, I wanted to be sure my choice could double as a party dress for any upcoming holiday parties or a NYE party. This dress would also work for a wedding in Fall or Winter. With all that versatility, I knew this was the one.
The shimmer sheer sleeve and sexy shoulder cutout take center stage on this dress, so I kept my accessories minimal. I opted for my small black crossbody bag, the perfect size for party night. It holds a cell phone, keys, mini wallet, and lip gloss. For jewelry, I opted only for these fabulous statement earrings. I picked these earrings out specifically to wear with this dress. They are the perfect compliment to the dress. The silver, gold, and black colors blend with the look, but the design still has just enough wow factor.
