Of all three looks this week, I think this just might be my perfect Thanksgiving outfit! A light sweater, tall boots, and a little statement jewelry is one of my go-to fall outfits. I love the casual aspect of this outfit with the pullover sweater and jeans. These riding boots are just slightly over the knee which creates a bit of a different look than my normal riding boots. I purchased these boots last fall, but I found them still available! While the boots keep this look a little dressed down, I made sure to still add a little something sparkly with my Harlie necklace. I love the iridescent white stone from Kendra Scott. At times you only see a white stone, but as you move and the light hits it you see the different colors bouncing off of it. My pictures honestly do not do this beautiful stone its justice! This look is a little bit relaxed casual and a little bit dressed up casual which is why for me it is just perfect!

I am off to the Nutcracker Market today with some girlfriends. The market is huge and amazing, and one of my favorite things to do in Houston in November. I take off work every year to attend. The market is filled with boutiques, holiday decorations, gift ideas, and food! The ticket and even some of the sales benefit the Houston Ballet Foundation. If you live in Houston, the market runs through Sunday and is definitely a fun holiday experience!!

If you missed my Monday post, I’m sharing some Thanksgiving outfit inspiration with you this week! Monday was all about a relaxed casual look perfect for lounging and helping prepare the big meal. Today is more of a dressed up casual look. Holidays always bring friends back in town, and this look would be perfect to grab a glass of wine or dinner with old friends. I kept the outfit casual with this windowpane plaid from Express. By the way, Express is having a BOGO sale that ends today!! I added some of my favorite pieces in a widget below!! They have some really cute plaids out right now, but I was drawn to the color on this one. I love the dark pink/magenta color with the white lines. I also like that I can pair it with a pencil skirt for a comfy office look. These shoes are on constant repeat right now, and the perfect addition to this dressy casual look. I also layered up my necklaces and bracelets to glam my outfit up a bit. This top looks great with a big statement necklace (like in this insta pic), but I chose some of my more basic pieces to make sure the beauty of the top shined. A dressed up casual look is one of my favorite styles! I like that you could still wear this look and help out on Thanksgiving by kicking off your shoes and setting a couple bracelets to the side if necessary. I looked at my calender this weekend and realized Thanksgiving is only two and half weeks away!! I felt like my blogiversary snuck up on me, and now the holidays are doing the same thing!! I decided to kind of theme this week with cute Thanksgiving outfit ideas to get you all set for the holiday. For Thanksgiving, I tend to lean more towards some form of a casual look. All three looks this week are casual, but different kinds of casual. If I had to name today’s, it would be relaxed casual. Whenever I head to my Grandma’s house, I tend to lean towards a more relaxed casual look like this one. Two reasons, one Grandma puts us grandkids to work! We help her prepare the food, set the table, clean dishes, and other odds and ends. Second, we tend to be a kick off our shoes and lounge around type family, so I like my outfit to be super comfy. The base of this look is simple a comfy tee and jeans. I’m obsessed with these essential tees from Banana Republic. I also don’t think I’m the only one because my size is always sold out in store. They are thick, soft, and I think the v-neckline is the perfect v. The long cardigan and booties in this look are my add-ons to layer on after all the work is done. This cardigan is so warm and cozy! It’s really thick and soft, so perfect for lounging around in on Thanksgiving while watching football or playing games. For my relaxed casual look, I also keep my jewelry simple. I went with some of my more everyday jewelry and only one bracelet because you can’t wash dishes with long necklaces and an arm stack. 🙂 Check back Wednesday for a more dressy-casual look, and I have my Christmas gift guide for him hitting the blog tomorrow! Let the layering begin! Get ready because in fall and winter I love to layer! One item I had to add to my closet this fall was a puffer type vest. I didn’t really want it to be puffy, but just that look. I love this quilted vest from Old Navy! It is thin and lightweight which is perfect for a Texas fall (aka it’s still 80 outside today)! This vest comes in two other colors, but I decided to go with this neutral cream color, so I could mix and match with more tops and dresses. I’m really excited to toss this vest on over some of my swing dresses with boots later this year!
Another fun way to layer is with some boot socks. I kind of own quite a few pairs of knee-high socks. I love wearing them around the house this time of year with shorts. It’s kind of my early fall and sometimes winter loungewear style. I also really like to pair them with my boots for a fun peek of color at the top. I like that if I have to take my shoes off at a friend’s house, I’m going to have some cute socks underneath and not some plain ol’ white ones. Chrissy’s Knee High Socks is one of the best online sites whether you want solid, striped, or festive! My Instagram followers may have seen me sporting some striped ones a few weeks ago when the Hurricane kept me cooped up in my house all weekend. I also have some fun seasonal ones and will probably add a Christmas pair this year!
