What I Wore: 5 Fall Outfit Ideas

Happy Holiday Season! I wanted to share a quick look back at some of my fall outfits from last month. My November was all about comfort as I planned many leggings friendly outfits. I did wear a great pair of flared black jeans that are petite friendly, yay!
I paired my two top pairs of black leggings with lots of tunic length sweaters and a go to black tshirt that I also own in white and purple. I know we are well past Halloween, but I also included a look at what I wore for Halloween. The sweatshirt is so soft and comfy that I’m still wearing it! I need to order another one from this place that’s not seasonal.
My December outfits have been a combo of jeans and leggings, so stay tuned for that one next month. I hope you have a great last week of 2023.

How to Wear Combat Boots

How to Wear Combat Boots
Is it too late to say Happy New Year!?! I hope you had such a wonderful and fabulous holiday season and start to 2023. I took an unintentional break over the holidays. I purchased a new computer during the Black Friday Sales. It took me a couple weeks to get things up and running and transferred over and well then it was the busy busy holiday season. I’m happy to be getting back into the swing of things and sharing some outfit ideas with ya’ll!
Late last fall, I purchased something a little different for me – a pair of black combat boots. Yes this statement heel loving gal walked into Target and picked up the complete opposite. I’d been spotting some really cute ways to style them and wanted to give the look a try. Per my usually routine for trying a trend I’m a little on the fence about, I found an affordable pair to purchase and style.
My go to way to wear combat boots is with a skinny bottom and flowy, loose, or oversized fitting top. My faux leather leggings are a top pairing with these boots. I think it gives these boots a chic edgy feel. A black plaid shacket is the perfect compliment to this look. You could also opt for an oversized sweater in a bold color for another causal outfit idea. If you want to try something other than leggings, skinny jeans are a good alternative. Pair it with a preppy button down shirt to create a mix and match style look.

Light Blue Cardigan Sweater

Light Blue Cardigan Sweater
I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend! We headed to East Texas to spend time with family. It was filled with catching up, football, good food, and a little relaxing. I also did a little shopping. The main item on my Black Friday list was a new computer. I found the one I wanted on sale and can’t wait for it to arrive. My current one is pretty old and was starting to have issues.
While most of our holiday weekend was cold and rainy, this week will be sunny and high 70s. It’s definitely layering season. This light blue cardigan is the prettiest shade. The color is a mix of lavender and light blue. I feel like sometimes it leans a little more to each color depending on the lighting and what I’m pairing it with. It has a slight oversized comfy fit and dolman style sleeve.
This outfit is a classic way to style a cardigan. A white cami or tank top, black jeans and booties. It’s all items you probably already have in your closet to quickly and easily recreate this look.

The Softest Black Sweater

THE SOFTEST BLACK SWEATER
I’m wrapping up sweater season here on the blog, and I’ve saved the softest for last! I’ve been loving all the soft, feels like a blanket sweaters this season, but this one, hands down, the softest black sweater. It’s become one of my favorite loungewear sweaters to toss on with a black bralette and leggings. It feels like I’m wrapping myself in a blanket. If I could, I would wear it everyday. On lounge days, it falls to more of a one shoulder fit. The open neckline gives you a little variety on how you can wear it. I shared 3 ways in this Instagram post.
For a chic monochramtic outfit, I opted for the off shoulder style of this sweater. Brown and black used to be such a mixing no, but I love using brown to break up an all black outfit. It adds a pop of color and works really well with black. I think the combo has an effortless look to it. You could also do a black belt and black heels to keep this outfit all one color and your outfit will probably increase on the chic factor scale.
