Kentucky Derby Outfit Idea That’s Not a Dress
Happy Friday friends!! I’m so excited for tonight. One of my gal pals and I are headed to the Pink concert. I am a fan of her music, and I have heard she puts on a great show. It’s definitely going to be a fun night out.
I’m already receiving invites for a few Kentucky Derby parties next weekend. Not going to lie, I have little interest in the race, but I do love an excuse to wear a pretty dress and fancy hat. For those of you wanting something different, I wanted to share a Kentucky Derby outfit idea that is not a dress. Because it’s Spring and most will be wearing colorful dresses, I knew white jeans needed to be involved. White jeans are an easy way to make any outfit look dressier.
This blue and white striped halter top is perfect for a Kentucky Derby party. The design of the halter and almost seer sucker type material dresses up this outfit a little. Both pieces will help you blend in perfectly with all the dresses. Floral prints and gingham tops would also work or anything with a fun spring color to contrast with the white.
Even if you are not heading to a Kentucky Derby party, this outfit would be a perfect dressy casual jeans outfit for any summer parties you have coming up or just for brunch with friends. I’m wearing an XS in the top. Overall the fit is perfect, but it is slightly snug in the bust department. You might want to size up if you are a little more gifted in this area than me.
Thanks for stopping by this week! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Gray Striped Ruffle Top
Hello!! How was your weekend? I finally made it out to my pool. We didn’t quite get to 80, but we did get to 73 outside and that was good enough for me! I also squeezed in an outdoor morning run on Sunday. I figured I should take advantage of the cool mornings because it will not be long until it’s too hot to run outside no matter how early you go.
Y’all how cute is this gray striped ruffle top! I love this outfit for a weekend night out or even a little date night. I added in my favorite block heel sandals and a few different pops of color to complete this look. The magenta and teal work so well together and really look perfect next to the gray.
You could also make this top work for daytime by trading in your jeans for a pair of white or black shorts and trading the heels for wedges or flat sandals. The material is really lightweight and the boxy style will be perfect for a hot summer day. I sized down to an XS because of the boxy fit of the top.
I hope you guys have a great week! Thank you so much for stopping by and don’t forget to check out the style link up at the end of today’s post!

Fit & Flare Coral Dress
Happy Friday Ladies!! We survived the week!! This was a crazy one for me in both work life and blog life. I scheduled myself a yoga class tomorrow morning. It’s going to be the perfect way to start my weekend in relaxation mode and get rid of all the craziness of the week. I have a busy few weeks coming up, so my weekend will probably filled with lots of working ahead on the blog. Although, I am hoping to get out to the pool on Sunday. It is forecasted to be 80 and sunny!
Now let’s talk about this coral dress, I am in love! I have a couple dresses from this designer, and I think they always nail the perfect fit of a dress. This dress is perfect for work, church, baby and bridal showers, luncheons, weddings, graduations, and basically any event you want a stylish and sophisticated look. I love the coral color. It’s perfect for both Spring and Summer. My favorite detail on this dress is the tie neck. I love that it is a thin and delicate bow which gives such a sweet feminine touch. The fit of this dress is between a fit and flare and shift dress. I think the overall shape is so flattering. I kept my jewelry, shoes, and clutch minimal and neutral to really let the beauty of the dress shine.
Alright ya’ll have a wonderful weekend, and thank you so much for stopping by!!

Striped Off the Shoulder Top
Good Morning and Happy Tuesday!! How was your weekend? After a busy week, I ended up not doing anything over the weekend and loving it! It was the perfect weekend for a little recharge and relaxation.
This blue striped off the shoulder top is a great mix of both classic and trendy for Spring. When I think Spring prints, I have to include blue and white stripes. It’s as Spring for me as gingham and florals. 🙂 It’s a classic print that can be dressed up or down and worn a variety of ways.
This classic print is given a little trendy vibe with the off the shoulder style. The band on this top is really good at holding this top in place and is not too tight. I styled this top for a fun evening out with jeans and some pops of color, but you can also pair it with white shorts and wedges for a daytime outfit.
I hope you’re week is fabulous and don’t forget to check out the Style File Link Up at the end of the post for more style inspiration! Thanks for swinging by today!
