Black Lace Top + White Jeans

Hello Hello and Happy Friday!! I’m keeping today’s post short and sweet because this has been a busy week for me!
Black and white is a go to for me and spring and summer. It’s an easy yet super chic and sophisticated color combo. If you love all black looks, it’s a great alternative to add in white during the warmer months. I went with a simple pop of color with my Kendra Scott turquoise earrings, but you could also add a colorful heel or bag. This outfit would be perfect for Casual Friday at the office. It would transition perfectly to a post work happy hour. It’s also a cute dressy casual outfit for a weekend dinner or date night.
I love the lace detailing on this top for a pretty feminine touch. This black lace top is also great for work. You can pair it with black ankle pants (seen here) or tuck it into a pencil skirt.
I hope ya’ll have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Workwear: Gray Lace Blouse

Hello! How was your weekend? The Pink concert was amazing! If you get a chance to go, I highly recommend. I have such a busy week ahead, probably the busiest of the month! I’m celebrating birthdays, engagements, the derby, so much fun coming at me this week!
I have another work outfit idea for ya’ll today. I adore this gray lace blouse, I mean gray and lace, sold! Ha! These lace tops can be worn multiple ways for both work and weekends. For work, you can also pair this top tucked into a pencil skirt. You could do black, a lighter shade of gray, or a fun color like pink. For weekends, grab a pair of white jeans, and you are good to go! This top would also work tucked into a pair of cotton shorts for a dressier weekend look.
This lace trend will be around for a while, which means you can also wear this dark gray top in the fall and get even more wears out of it. With lace tops, I usually opt for no necklace. I find they sometimes get caught in the lace. A long pendant would be perfect with this one, just make sure the pendant doesn’t have any edges that might attach to the lace.
Thanks for stopping by and I will see you back here on Friday! Oh and don’t forget to check out today’s Style Link Up for more outfit inspiration!

Kentucky Derby Outfit Idea That’s Not a Dress

Happy Friday friends!! I’m so excited for tonight. One of my gal pals and I are headed to the Pink concert. I am a fan of her music, and I have heard she puts on a great show. It’s definitely going to be a fun night out.
I’m already receiving invites for a few Kentucky Derby parties next weekend. Not going to lie, I have little interest in the race, but I do love an excuse to wear a pretty dress and fancy hat. For those of you wanting something different, I wanted to share a Kentucky Derby outfit idea that is not a dress. Because it’s Spring and most will be wearing colorful dresses, I knew white jeans needed to be involved. White jeans are an easy way to make any outfit look dressier.
This blue and white striped halter top is perfect for a Kentucky Derby party. The design of the halter and almost seer sucker type material dresses up this outfit a little. Both pieces will help you blend in perfectly with all the dresses. Floral prints and gingham tops would also work or anything with a fun spring color to contrast with the white.
Even if you are not heading to a Kentucky Derby party, this outfit would be a perfect dressy casual jeans outfit for any summer parties you have coming up or just for brunch with friends. I’m wearing an XS in the top. Overall the fit is perfect, but it is slightly snug in the bust department. You might want to size up if you are a little more gifted in this area than me.
Thanks for stopping by this week! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Gray Striped Ruffle Top

Hello!! How was your weekend? I finally made it out to my pool. We didn’t quite get to 80, but we did get to 73 outside and that was good enough for me! I also squeezed in an outdoor morning run on Sunday. I figured I should take advantage of the cool mornings because it will not be long until it’s too hot to run outside no matter how early you go.
Y’all how cute is this gray striped ruffle top! I love this outfit for a weekend night out or even a little date night. I added in my favorite block heel sandals and a few different pops of color to complete this look. The magenta and teal work so well together and really look perfect next to the gray.
You could also make this top work for daytime by trading in your jeans for a pair of white or black shorts and trading the heels for wedges or flat sandals. The material is really lightweight and the boxy style will be perfect for a hot summer day. I sized down to an XS because of the boxy fit of the top.
I hope you guys have a great week! Thank you so much for stopping by and don’t forget to check out the style link up at the end of today’s post!
