It’s miniskirt season!  A fun and flirty casual skirt is the perfect add on to your Spring wardrobe.  I love the pull on versions that have a hint of volume like flounce, ruffle, and flippy skirt styles.  I tuck them in with a fitted tank top or tee.  A denim jacket will complete the casual look and help out with cool spring days.  Roll the sleeves up about 3/4 for Spring and Summer.  These fun casual skirts give you lots of shoe options!  A peep toe booties is perfect to pair with a mini skirt.  You could also choose white sneakers, flat sandals, or wedges.

My skirt has a fun tie waist detail to help add a little definition to the waist.  The beads on the ends of the tie waist add a fun pop of color.  If you are looking to add a few casual skirts to your closet this spring and summer season, I rounded up a few casual spring skirts under $100.

What is everyone’s Easter plans?  We are having a small family gathering at my Mom’s house.  Even though it will be a pretty casual affair, I will probably still use the excuse to dress up and maybe even toss on an Easter dress.  I wore this floral print dress for our engagment photos earlier this month, and I love the variety of places I can wear it including Easter.

If you are heading to a bridal shower or you are the bride-to-be, this floral print dress would be perfect for your spring or summer shower.  The ruffles and cut of the bottom give this dress so much fun and flirty movement.  I also love this for the office.  You could toss a blazer on over and change the shoes to a pair of closed toe pumps.  If you wanted to dress this down, try out a denim jacket (white or blue) and a pair of wedges.  As I mentioned lots of variety with this one!

Sizing note: First, I’m wearing this in a petite, and I’m 5’3.  I think it’s a great petite length.  I also chose to size up to a small.  This dress goes on over your head and some reviews mentioned that being difficult because the neck isn’t very stretchy which is why I decided to go up one.  I didn’t have any issues getting it on, but you definitely want to wait until after you have it on to put the finishing touches on your hair.  It’s a smock detailing across the chest, so the one size up also made this area fit better.

Spring Outfit for Cooler Temps

By special request, a spring outfit for cooler temps.  Added bonus, this outfit would be perfect for a spring getaway!  If you want your outfit to feel more spring, try adding in a lighter pair of jeans or white jeans.  White denim instantly transitions a cool weather top into the Spring season.  Caged wedges are great for early spring because your foot is more covered, but also gives your outfit a spring feel.  Too chilly for wedges?  A neutral flat or bootie will also work with this outfit.

When choosing a cool weather top, I opted for a warm cropped sweater in a light spring earth tone shade.  This sweater is boxy and loose fitting to keep you cool during a warmer part of the day. The sleeves are shorter which is perfect for a spring outfit.  Change out your jeans for shorts when the temps warm up a bit.

I hope ya’ll are ready for Spring dress season!  I might have another fun floral print coming later this month plus a few more en route. I find them so comfy to wear around the house, great for any wedding events or small gatherings, and it’s nice to change out of all those winter sweaters and leggings.   With the extra time at home, I’m leaning towards loose and flowy fits.

This long sleeve black dress fits the bill perfectly.  A great way to transition these flowy dresses to a more put together look is to add a belt. You can keep it monochromatic with black, a nuetral like brown, or a pop of color like pink or mint green.  I love the added feminine detail of the tiered layer skirt.  I noticed this dress is limited in sizing, so I decided to link a similar one as well.  It seems like everyone is stocking up for dress season this Spring! Also, there is a new version of my wedge sandals this season!  I love the black striping on them.  It adds a fun statement factor to a solid colored look.
