Yellow Off the Shoulder Dress

Hello!! How was your weekend? We had a randomly cold weekend here. I had to pull out my sweaters and coats. I was not feeling it, and I ended up spending most of the weekend indoors in my coziest loungewear.
This yellow dress is a breath of fresh Spring air after our cold weekend. I have been noticing a little bit more yellow out this season, and I’m really excited about it. It’s a color I love to wear, but I don’t really own much of it. I’m hoping to add a bit more this Spring and Summer. The bold yellow of this dress was the perfect backdrop for my beaded tassel necklace. I love how the different colors pop against the yellow. For a more fitted look to this dress, try belting it. You can pick a fun color like blue or red to contrast against the dress color.
I originally thought about pairing this outfit with neutral or brown wedges, but then I found these color-block cuties in my closet. I love all the bright colors mixed together. It just adds to the fun and flirty nature of the dress. This outfit would be perfect for an afternoon sipping wine on a patio friends, a casual evening party, or a fun date night.
I found a few more yellow favorites below, and don’t forget to check out today’s Style File Link Up! Ya’ll have a good week!

Spring “It” Dress for All the Events

Happy Friday! I am so excited to share this teal floral dress with you guys. I am OBSESSED with this dress. It was love at first sight for sure. I was immediately drawn to the gorgeous deep teal color and fun floral embroidered design on the dress. But it was the sexy little cutout and slight showing of skin that really made me like this dress. I feel like it’s a fun little surprise addition to the dress. Gorgeous and sophisticated in the front with a little fun and flirty in the back.
I officially declare this dress my Spring It Dress for all the events of the season. I can see wearing this to a Spring or Summer wedding, a bridal shower, or date night. It’s one of those dresses that instantly puts you in a fabulous, happy, and fun mood. Even better the price tag, it’s only $60! I’m wearing the petite size, but I linked both the regular and petite for you.

Spring Dresses under $100

Happy First Day of Spring! I cannot think of a more perfect way to celebrate than with this gorgeous light blue dress AND a round up of my favorite 2o Spring dresses under $100! I am a huge fan of Spring for many reasons. The big non-fashion ones – 1) all the flowers are blooming and 2) the feeling of fresh starts and new beginnings. I feel like everything from plants, people, and social calendars are all start coming back to life with the start of Spring.
The Spring season has me on the biggest dress kick right now. I’m warning you, the rest of March and most of April is going to be real dress heavy, but they will all be really pretty. 🙂 I love this little light blue number for Easter, date night, a baby/bridal shower, or a fancy Sunday Brunch. It’s Topshop which is European fit and sizing, so you definitely want to size up. I’m wearing a US6, and I normally wear a 4 in dresses.
Ya’ll these sandals that I love finally came back in stock in my size in the taupe color. I have never added to cart so fast!! I predict to wear these and my black pair on major repeat all spring and summer. I mean they are the most comfortable heels I own after all.
I also rounded up 20 of my favorite Spring dresses under $100. If I let myself keep browsing, I probably would have ended up closer to 100 under 100. Stay tuned to my Spring Style Finds for more picks throughout the season. The dresses below are a good mix of casual, work, date night, and wedding season. I wanted to be sure to hit ALL the events you might have coming up this spring.
I hope ya’ll enjoy the first day of Spring and have a beautiful season ahead!

Ivory Wool Coat

When my best friend took these photos for me, her initial comment was that this outfit was very Kate Middleton. A compliment I happily accepted because I am British Royalty obsessed over here! I spent our ice storm days this week binge watching a few episodes of The Crown on Netflix. It’s so good ya’ll!
This ivory wool coat really makes the whole outfit come to life. I feel like you could pair this coat with so many dresses and still have a polished and sophisticated look. I love the fit and flare style to add a little shape and personality to the coat when buttoned up. One little detail on this coat that really excited me was the gold buttons. I don’t like when my coat has brown buttons, and I want to wear black shoes. It’s one of those silly little things that bothers me. I’d probably never notice it on someone else, but on me not a fan. Also, we shot these photos on a really cold day, and I can vouch for this wool coat’s warmth.
Despite not living in a super cold area, I still love buying coats and jackets, but I’m not a big fan of spending too much. Living in South Texas, I really only need a coat for a month maybe two each year. It’s one of the things I like about Wilsons Leather. Their coats and jackets are top quality, but in an affordable price range. And yes, they sell more than just leather like wool and trench coats.
I hope ya’ll have a great weekend. I have plans to check out the Oscar de la Renta exhibit at our Fine Arts Museum. He was one of my favorite Red Carpet designers, so I’ll probably easily spend most of a day getting lost in a sea of his dresses. I can’t wait!
I received compensation and this product courtesy of Wilsons Leather, however, all opinions are entirely my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Lady in Violet.
