How to Wear Overalls in Spring

| OUTFIT DETAILS |
off the shoulder top | overalls (also available here) | similar wedges | gold earrings | c/o bangles (15% off with code Karen)
Denim overalls are such a great item to have in your closet for a super casual day. A fitted tank top paired with sneakers are flip flops is perfect for a day at home, running errands, or trip to a baseball game. A tank and sandals with these overalls is my go to look for a hot summer day and a work from home staple. For the spring season, I had to dress my denim overalls up a bit.
An off the shoulder top is an easy and fun way to give your overalls a different look. A fun layered ruffle top is perfect for the Spring season. Since overalls have no shape, I opt for tops that are fitted at the waist line. This allows the top to create a defined waist line for you. You still get fun volume with the ruffles on top without losing your overall shape.
A block heel or wedge sandal is another great way to turn your casual overalls into a dressy casual look. The height of the shoe and neutral color also helps keep the loose fit of the overalls from overwhelming my petite frame and balance out the volume from the ruffles. Toss on a great pair of earrings and some stone bangles to complete a brunch ready Spring outfit.
If you are nervous about pairing a volume ruffle top with your overalls, a fitted body suit like this one would be a great option. Add in a pair of block heel sandals and colorful jewelry for another easy and chic Spring look.

It’s miniskirt season! A fun and flirty casual skirt is the perfect add on to your Spring wardrobe. I love the pull on versions that have a hint of volume like flounce, ruffle, and flippy skirt styles. I tuck them in with a fitted tank top or tee. A denim jacket will complete the casual look and help out with cool spring days. Roll the sleeves up about 3/4 for Spring and Summer. These fun casual skirts give you lots of shoe options! A peep toe booties is perfect to pair with a mini skirt. You could also choose white sneakers, flat sandals, or wedges.
My skirt has a fun tie waist detail to help add a little definition to the waist. The beads on the ends of the tie waist add a fun pop of color. If you are looking to add a few casual skirts to your closet this spring and summer season, I rounded up a few casual spring skirts under $100.

Floral Print Easter Dress

| OUTFIT DETAILS |
floral print dress (i’m wearing petite) | taupe block heel sandals | c/o purple stone bangle | | c/o clear stone bangle (bracelets 15% off with code karen) | earrings
What is everyone’s Easter plans? We are having a small family gathering at my Mom’s house. Even though it will be a pretty casual affair, I will probably still use the excuse to dress up and maybe even toss on an Easter dress. I wore this floral print dress for our engagment photos earlier this month, and I love the variety of places I can wear it including Easter.
If you are heading to a bridal shower or you are the bride-to-be, this floral print dress would be perfect for your spring or summer shower. The ruffles and cut of the bottom give this dress so much fun and flirty movement. I also love this for the office. You could toss a blazer on over and change the shoes to a pair of closed toe pumps. If you wanted to dress this down, try out a denim jacket (white or blue) and a pair of wedges. As I mentioned lots of variety with this one!
Sizing note: First, I’m wearing this in a petite, and I’m 5’3. I think it’s a great petite length. I also chose to size up to a small. This dress goes on over your head and some reviews mentioned that being difficult because the neck isn’t very stretchy which is why I decided to go up one. I didn’t have any issues getting it on, but you definitely want to wait until after you have it on to put the finishing touches on your hair. It’s a smock detailing across the chest, so the one size up also made this area fit better.

Six Ways to Wear a Light Blue Top
For the longest time, I would not buy many blue tops. I wore mostly blue jeans and worried it was to color matching. Fast forward to me embracing new jean colors and types of bottoms, and now I love a good blue top. This light blue is a current favorite shade. I think it has more of an earthtone feel than a royal blue or baby blue, but all of these outfits would work with those colors.
Details on this top – It’s a crop style. The sides are more where the crop length is, and the front and back are longer which I really like! The arm holes are a little wider, so I wear a white bandeau bra underneath it so my bra will not show. You could probably also do a low cut cami and tuck it in.
SIX WAYS TO WEAR A LIGHT BLUE TOP
FOR FALL
WITH BLACK JEANS & BOOTS
Black jeans and brown tall boots are my go to for fall outfits and blue tops.

WITH GRAY JEANS & BROWN HEELS
The blue and gray shades work really well together! I always think brown when I think blue, and my brown heels were the perfect pop of color.

WITH BLUE JEANS & BOOTIES
Find a blue shade that provides a slight contrast to your blue top. For a more royal blue, you may try a dark or light wash jean to provide the right amount of contrast. I went with the same brown shade in my booties as above, but light tan ones would work too.

FOR SPRING & SUMMER
WITH WHITE JEANS & FLATS
White jeans works with any color and really helps make the color pop! To keep my look more casual, I opted for a light tan pair of flats. Block heel sandals would work well to dress this outfit up a bit.

WITH DENIM SKIRT & MULES
To play off my favorite way to wear this color for fall, I pulled similar colors to create a spring and summer look. I went with faded black denim for a lighter summer feel, and my brown mules for my warm weather shoe.

WITH WHITE SHORTS & WEDGE SANDALS
