Faded Black Denim Skirt

Happy Monday!! Today is kind of a big day for me. I’m starting a new job in a new industry. I’m that good combination of excited and nervous all rolled into one. I’m ready to get started and start learning all of the things! I spent most of the weekend relaxing and spending time with friends. I went on a double date with some friends downtown Saturday. We had so much fun checking out new and old favorites.
I wore this faded black denim skirt out with a different dressier top on Saturday. It’s been a fun add to my closet this summer. I wanted something different than shorts, but still good for those hot summer days and nights. I love the faded black to add some chic edginess to my look. For this post, I went with a casual monochromatic style look perfect for a weekend brunch or casual evening out.
Since the look was very one color note, I opted to add in the long pendant necklace to break it up a little. You could also go with a short necklace too. Also, this backpack is a recent add. I carried it along with me a few times in Colorado. It has two front sections and back zip pocket section. It is pretty comfy to carry around. It also comes in brown which I think would be cute for summer. The black is going to be perfect for fall and winter, and work with some of my summer looks too.
Alright ya’ll, off to my first day at the new job. I hope you all have a fabulous week! I have one last Nordstrom Sale post for you on Wednesday and a very colorful outfit for you on Friday. See you then!

Summer Festival Outfit

Hello ladies! Ok we are taking a Nordstrom Sale break today for a little summer outfit inspiration! I love this summer outfit for a festival, county fair, or outdoor concert. The smocked peplum top gives me all the boho chic vibes when paired with distressed jean shorts and booties. You can easily transition this top into a brunch or casual evening look by pairing it with a pair of dark wash skinny jeans and wedges. Trade out the booties for a pair of sandals for an additional daytime look. This top does run small, so I recommend going up one size.
Well all of my sale packages have arrived!! I’m so excited to finally check out all my goods! Check back Friday for a look at what I purchased during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.

Black Halter Top

Hello Hello! Well most of my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale items have shipped, so hopefully next week I will be able to share a little try on session with ya’ll to showcase what I bought. So far, I only had one item canceled, a pair of flared leg jeans from Frame Denim. I’m hoping I can find them back in stock by the end of sale. I picked up my first pair from this brand last year and love them!!
So let’s take a little sale break, and talk about this super chic date night or girls’ night out outfit idea. I love an all black look for a chic and sophisticated vibe. Halter tops are one of my favorite top styles for summer. I love how they show off your shoulders. This one has a nice loose and comfy fit. One other thing I like about this top is that it zips up the back. Many halters are tie tops, and I really prefer the zipper option.
It’s also a good length to pair with skinny jeans or to tuck into a pair of cotton shorts. Depending on your work dress code, you could also tuck it into a pencil skirt for the office. It comes in a few colors, but I couldn’t resist the black. The chic look of the top made me want to create a full chic outfit. I went with a head to toe all black theme, but added in one pop of color with my earrings to break it up a little and a little bit of eye catching color to the look.
Hope you all are having a fabulous week so far! Check back Friday for a little Dressing Room Diaries for the start of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale public access!! See you then!

Button Front Cami Top

Hello Ladies! Hope your week is off to a fabulous start!! Are you ready for the big Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this week? Early Access starts on Friday, and I’m hoping to have a post up for ya’ll at the start of the sale at 1130am CT. I’m planning to shop the shoes, jeans, and basics for myself. Let me know in the comments what you are planning to buy this year!
My trip to Breckenridge, Colorado last week was a big success! It was nice to get out of the humidity for a bit. We hiked up a mountain to check out a waterfall, did some horseback riding in Vail, and enjoyed a glass of wine or two outdoors while admiring the mountain views. All the view were so gorgeous, and the weather was sunny and perfect! One day, I will have to brave the cold and venture out during the ski season.
Now let’s talk about this outfit, I have been wanting a button front cami all summer. I picked this one up during the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale earlier this season. It’s currently still on sale too! It’s a great piece to wear stand alone with jeans or shorts and to layer underneath a light jacket or cardigan. I also linked a similar style from Amazon with a bunch of color options. I originally planned on getting a white one because I think it would be great for layering in the fall. When I saw the pink stripe though, I could not resist!
Alright ya’ll, hope the rest of your week goes well, and I will see you guys back here on Friday for the start of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for Nordstrom cardholders!
