Hey Ya’ll! I wanted to share a look and trend that I’m loving right now – the all white outfit. I used to be so scared to wear an all white look, and some days I still am a little. I mean this isn’t my red wine drinking outfit. 🙂 I finally gave in to this trend because I love how simple and sophisticated this monochromatic look can be. When wearing an all white look, I do try to add a little bit of color through my jewelry, purse, or in this case with a little cardigan.
Since I added color to my all white outfit with my cardigan, I kept my other accessories simple. I went with a nude clutch and heels, and some simple gold jewelry. The navy cardigan lends a more sophisticated vibe which is why I chose to keep my other accessories simple and classic. This would be such a fun outfit for casual Friday, weekend brunch, or even a day date to grab coffee.
I love this ruffle blouse for summer! It’s super lightweight and casual. I wanted to showcase that this top can be dressed up a little by adding a cardigan. I think it would look cute if you paired it with some skinny work pants or a colorful pencil skirt too.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I hung out with family yesterday for Mother’s Day and ate way too much Mexican food and desserts! I ended up getting my mom this beauty kit. I love these products, and I cannot wait to see what she thinks of them!! I also scored the lip gloss in today’s post as a free gift with purchase. Score! My mom doesn’t wear lip gloss, so I kept it. My girlfriends’ and I had an amazing time in Charleston! The first full day we were in town was a bit rainy and cold, but day two the sun came out and we were able to experience all the southern charm of the city. I took tons of photos and can’t wait to go through them all tonight. I’m hoping to put a little travel guide together and post next week, so stay tuned!
I opted not to take any outfit photos while I was there unless I had some good downtime, so I pre-shot a couple of the outfits I planned on wearing before I left on my trip. I actually ended up not bringing this clutch, but went with my Vera Bradley crossbody instead for all my night outfits. I wore this outfit our first night in Charleston for dinner at Fig and drinks at a wine bar off King Street. This top was originally on back-order to arrive after my trip, but ended up coming in a week or so prior to my trip. Yay!! Off the shoulder tops are a hot trend for spring and summer. Bonus this one comes in both Pantone colors of the year. I opted for the pink because I knew it worked with all my different Jean shades. I love that it has the two shoulder straps to help hold the shirt up too. I’m really loving this off the shoulder look and hope to add one or two more to my closet this season.
Our flight landed late last night, and I have to go to work today. I’m pretty sure all my friends and I will be living off of coffee today!I can’t wait to share more about my trip with y’all so stay tuned. Until then, thanks for swinging by the blog! Hey there Monday!! I had such a busy weekend that Monday seemed to sneak up on me this week. My cousin’s wedding was this weekend, and it was gorgeous! I posted what I wore over on Instagram, but I also plan on shooting it for the blog too. The shoes I ordered to wear with the dress don’t come in until today, so I wanted to wait to shoot the look how I originally planned on wearing it. Luckily, I had plenty of backup shoe options!
I’m also getting ready for a really fun girl’s trip that I’m taking in a couple weeks. We are heading to Charleston, and I am so excited to get to really explore this city with friends. I’m slowly planning my outfits for the trip, and I’m hoping to share little bit about how I pack for a vacation and a fun little travel guide of our trip to Charleston. Just a few things to look forward too!
I recently purchased a few pairs of flat shoes for my trip because Charleston is such a walking city. These lace-up flats are a shoe I have been searching for for awhile. I was kind of picky about what I wanted from no metal studs, to the lace design on the top of the foot, and I wanted them under $100. I bought these during a sale, but regular price they still aren’t bad at $70. They are a year-round shoe style, and one I can wear to the office with skirts.
This whole outfit may end up going on my trip with me. I definitely plan on bringing my denim jacket. It’s such an amazing and versatile closet staple. I toss it on with casual looks like this one and over dresses too. My look today is super neutral, so the jacket adds a little color. I also added in some fun colorful jewelry and my pink bag for a few more pops of color. This little crossbody bag is 100% coming on my trip! It’s the perfect size to hold my big DSLR camera along with all my other purse things. This color is sold out, but they do still have it in a darker pink color and some other fun colors too!
So I have to mention my black and gold bangle, it is actually a hair tie attached to a bangle. It’s the coolest thing ever! One of my blogger friends had one, and I really wanted one! I was super excited to receive one in a swag bag at a blogger brunch a few weeks ago. Definitely coming on my trip with me!

Yellow Fringe Sandals

I did it! I finally pulled the trigger and bought these shoes!! They went on sale last week to under $100, and I could not resist! I originally thought I was going to order either the beige or red ones, but I ended up going with the yellow. I LOVE these shoes! When picking a color I decided on yellow because I thought it was fun and different. I mean if I am going to by fun fringe sandals, why not buy them in a fun color too!
I wore almost this exact outfit to a blogger brunch this weekend, but I wore this black top. I was able to test out these shoes, so I can give you an early review. When I first put them on, they were a bit different to walk in. They reminded me a bit of mule feel. I did realize that it helps to tie the laces a little tighter to give you more support, and it makes it easier to walk. When I first tied them, one was looser and I could really tell a difference. By the end of the brunch and after walking around in them a bit more, I did find it easier to walk. I don’t own many shoes in this style, so I think I just needed to adjust to it.
I ordered my normal size on these, and they fit perfectly! You can tie the fringe tassels to be either front or back. Don’t worry these babies will be on the blog plenty over the next few months, so you will get to see them tied to the front too. I really like them both ways, but I do think tied front is cuter. I tied them front for the brunch and really liked how it peeked out of the jeans.
I just wrote a whole lot about just a pair of shoes! 🙂 For the rest of this outfit, I went pretty neutral with my top and bottom because I really wanted my shoes to stand out. I love mixing colors, and I love how the yellow looks with the maroon and purple of my jewelry. One of the reasons I opted for yellow is because of all the color mixing options. I can picture these shoes with bright neon type colors this summer and jewel tones for early fall.
I hope ya’ll had a great weekend! In addition to my blogger brunch, I started Spring cleaning my closet. I made some really good progress and re-organized it a bit. I still have more work to do, but I love how it is coming along! Is anyone else planning a big spring cleaning project this year??
