Workwear: Striped A-Line Skirt
Hello ladies!! How was your weekend? I had a pretty good one enjoying some yummy Houston restaurants. Friday night, we headed to one of Houston’s hottest spots, Nancy’s Hustle. We made the reservations like a month ago, and I was so excited to finally check this place out. The food was so good, and I definitely plan to go again! Saturday we enjoyed a healthy lunch and then followed it up with a stop at a chocolate store to keep it balanced. LOL. We wrapped up the weekend enjoying Mexican food with the family for Father’s Day. It was a fun and very delicious weekend!
I’m kicking off this week’s posts with a little workwear for you. I’m loving this mauve and navy color combo. You can also pair this top with a pair of navy cotton shorts for a dressy casual summer day look. This top is a go to of mine for office clothes, because they usually don’t need to be ironed. I own some long sleeve versions and decided to pick up this sleeveless blouse version for summer. It was their perfect piece to pair with my striped a-line skirt.
This full skirt is so cute and fun! I paired it with a thin striped tank for a friend’s baby shower about a month ago. I really loved the play on stripes. This skirt pairs perfectly with button down tops for the office. Because of the fullness of the skirt, I do recommend pairing it with something a little more fitted to keep your proportions balanced. One thing I like about both of these pieces is that I can continue wearing them in fall and then again next spring. This top is perfect to layer with cardigans, and the skirt will pair great with fitted sweaters.
I hope you all have a fabulous week ahead! Also for all my Houston area ladies, I will be hosting an event at Loft in Sugar Land this Sunday evening. I’ll be sharing summer outfit ideas and helping with a little shopping. You can get all the info on the Facebook Event page HERE, be sure and RSVP so I know you will be coming. I hope some of you can make it out, so we can meet and chat fashion for a bit!

Styled 3 Ways: Black Tank Top
Happy Friday! Welcome to this month’s Styled 3 Ways. Since we are heading into summer, I wanted to share one of my summer staples – the black tank top. I own about 3 different black tank tops. These tops are great for layering during cooler months, and pairing with skirts, shorts, and jeans for warmer months.
I picked up this black tank top from Amazon. It comes in a 2 pack, so I order the black/striped combo. I love the overall fit on these. The straps are nice and wide to hide bra straps, and the front is not too low cut. In addition to wearing these out and about, I also love wearing them around the house as cozy loungewear.
For these 3 way posts, I thought it would be fun to be sure and give you not just 3 outfits, but 3 different occasions too. This month, I went with the 3 most needed – work, casual, and a night out. I hope you enjoy checking out these three ways to wear a black tank top.

A Year Round Must For Work: The Gray Flippy Skirt
Hello Ladies! I meant to have this post up yesterday, but I went out of town Sunday and due to traffic delays got home way later than expected. So I decided to change up my schedule this week and do only two posts, but I will be back to the MWF schedule next week.
I’m back today with my go to winter work combo, the sweater, skirt and boots. First off, if you need a good black fitted sweater, this one is it! I wear it with skirts to work and with jeans for a casual look. I tossed a black leather jacket over it with jeans and boots for a little happy hour look a couple weeks ago. Super versatile style!
This gray flippy skirt is definitely a piece you can get lots of use from year round. The light gray color will work now with black and dark jewel tones, and in spring with floral blouses, white tops, and pastels. It’s a pull on design and slightly fleece like material which makes it super comfy. I wear flippy skirts to the office every week. I like the flared design of them to add a slight playfulness and bounce to an outfit. They also transition really well to post work events.
I hope your week is off to a good start. Thanks for stopping by!

Workwear: Blush Pink Sweater
Happy Friday!! Ending the week with a little work outfit inspiration for you. I love cozy chunky knit sweaters, but with our winter weather usually on the warmer side most days I tend to gravitate to lightweight sweaters. Also, you know I like to find sweaters that will work with both an office and casual outfit. This blush pink sweater fit the bill perfectly.
The ruffle sleeve details paired with the blush pink color adds such a pretty femininity to this sweater. The burgundy ribbon just adds to this feel. It’s a beautiful sweater to wear to work with slacks or tucked into a pencil skirt. I opted for gray pants because I LOVE gray and pink together. You could also wear black or play up the secondary color and go with burgundy skirt or pants.
For a more casual look, toss on a pair of gray or white jeans. White jeans and a taupe boot would be perfect for a casual night out. I paired this with silver jewelry and decided to skip the necklace. If I paired this with jeans, I think it would perfect with a long rose gold necklace.
I’m officially kicking off holiday season this weekend with my first holiday party of the season. I’m heading to the mall today to pick up the last of my gifts, and then it’s off to gift wrap. I always take a a few days off work in December for holiday shopping. I find it so much easier to do during the weekdays with less crowds. Stay tuned next week for a post all about my easy and beautiful way to wrap Christmas presents. Also, did you catch yesterday’s Holiday Home Tour?? You can check it out HERE for a little Christmas decorating inspo plus a few of my tips for decorating a small space.
Ya’ll have a fabulous weekend, and thank you so much for taking some time to stop by this week!
