Easing Your Wardrobe into Fall

Good Morning!!  I am back from my blog conference/Charleston vacation which means back to work today.  The conference was a blast, and I had so much fun meeting new friends, hanging out with old ones, learning from amazing speakers and workshops, and exploring Charleston too.  I even shot a few outfit photos while I was there, stay tuned for those next week!

I definitely plan to share more about the conference and my fun weekend in a future post, but I am on like information overload/obsessing over the olympics and wanted to take a week or so to pull everything together.  Stay tuned for a blog post, not sure when it will be but some time this month for sure.

The big Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is officially over (insert sad face here), but hopefully it means some of the cute fall items will be finding there way back in stock soon.  This outfit is pretty much all from the sale, and all sold out so quick!  Texas fall can still be hot, so I am always on the lookout for cute pieces that say fall but work in warmer weather.  I think finding some of those pieces are really what help ease your wardrobe into fall.

This floral blouse is a perfect multi-season piece.  The pink floral print will work from spring through fall.  For summer and spring, I would pair with white jeans or distressed denim shorts.  You can also wear with khaki or white cotton shorts.  The gorgeous ruffle sleeve adds a little bit more of a feminine touch to this top.  I love pairing feminine pieces with something a bit more edgy like distressed denim.

These jeans have been on my want list for awhile.  Every time they go on sale, my size sells out almost immediately.  I swiped these up as fast as I could on sale day one.  This brand is pricey, so I typically only buy on sale.  The jeans are high quality and super comfortable!  I wore this pair on the plane for both flights last week.  These jeans are only slightly distressed at the knees which I really like.  I wear my other distressed pair tons, so I knew I wanted another pair, but I wanted something with knees only.

I purchased these booties with the main purpose of transitioning my wardrobe to fall.  These booties are going to be great with jeans and plaid shirts in October, but they work now with shorts and dresses like I wore them last week.  They also pair perfectly with this floral top and distressed denim outfit I have going on today.  I chose this pair because of the little side slit on the side.  It added a different look than the other booties I considered buying.

Alright enough fun fashion talk, I have to go work a full work week now….   But I have several after work events this week, so it’s going to be a fun week.  If you are in Houston, Restaurant Weeks is going on right now!   It’s the perfect time to try out that fancy restaurant or grab your girlfriends for a little dinner date.  My girlfriends and I are checking out a new restaurant this Friday, and I cannot wait to see them!
