I have had a brown leather jacket on my fall and winter wish list for a few years now, but I’m so picky about what I want.  It had to be the right shade of brown with just the right amount of a worn in distressed look.  I also wanted a collarless, partially quilted, super chic jacket type look.  The zippers had to be in the right places, the right angles, and the right dark silver color.  Last came price, leather jackets are a high ticket item, and I wanted one in a reasonable price range.  I am happy to report that I have found my perfect brown leather jacket! This one fit all my needs, plus it’s an extra 50% off right now along with all the other jackets and handbags at Wilsons Leather!   I’m dying for some cooler temps, so I can wear this baby out!

The right jacket can really transform an outfit filled with basics like this one into a super chic fall look.  I love pairing brown and black together in fall from black jeans and brown boots to this black jeans/shoes and brown jacket look. This outfit would also look really cute with a black turtleneck top to go even more monochromatic.  I chose this  ivory swing tank to add a little complimentary earth tone to the brown of the jacket.  I also love playing with the differences in proportion with the fitted jacket and flowy top.  I finished the look off with my latest shoe crush. These adorable just under $100 lace-up heels add a little bit more edgy chic to the overall look.

I received compensation and this product courtesy of Wilsons Leather, however, all opinions are entirely my own.  Thank you for supporting the brands that support Lady in Violet

Happy Halloween!! I celebrated on Saturday at my gal pal’s epic Halloween bash.  She transforms her house into a spooky haunted mansion with no corner left un-decorated.   I get so mesmerized walking around checking out all the little details.  She even changes out all the light bulbs to fit the theme.   It’s amazing.  I also love it because an epicly decorated party means you can go all out on your costume too!  I went as a haunting ghost this year.  Tonight, we will be passing out candy/sneaking a few pieces for ourselves.

With October pretty much behind us, it is full steam ahead to Thanksgiving!  We are heading to a few Thanksgiving celebrations this year, and I need my look to be comfy for the long day spent traveling, lounging, and eating all the food.  I love this sweater because it’s super soft and slightly oversized.  Perfect for camouflaging that post-meal food baby.   It comes in a few colors, but I love this dark teal color.  It works perfect with black jeans and my FAVORITE brown riding boots.  Ya’ll I found these babies back in stock this year.  I’m not 100% sure if it’s the exact brown shade, the one linked may be slightly darker.  I wore these boots so much last year, seen HERE and HERE.  They look super cute with jeans, leggings, and dresses.

Hope ya’ll have a great week ahead! Thanks for taking some time to stop by today!

I feel like we are all counting down the days until we can start wearing our chunky knits and big scarves.  They are cozy, comfy, and fabulous!  Right now the warm with a cool breeze weather is just right for a cute fall dress.  I have found so many cute fall dresses under 100 this season for both work and casual weekends.

Picture some of the above with your cute new booties or riding boots, paired with a denim jacket or utility vest, or killer pair of heels or flats and chunky jewelry. These 12 were my favorite picks because ONE they can all be styled different ways throughout the season, and TWO I thought it was a great selection of both office and weekend options.  My favorite is probably twelve.  I picture it with a denim jacket and cowboy boots perfect for a state fair or rodeo.  Although two is close second as the perfect dress to go from work to happy hour.

I own dress three (last seen here).  It’s super comfy and has pockets! WIN!  I also have the maroon version of dress four.  This dress works year round for me! I have styled it previously here and here.  So, which one is your favorite??

Does the title of this post freak you out a little?  Like how is it almost November and Thanksgiving?!?!?!  Last weekend, I even started testing out a recipe for my Thanksgiving dessert.  I made a pumpkin pie, I know not groundbreaking, kind of basic. BUT I made it from an actual pumpkin and not canned pumpkin.  Overall the process was pretty easy, just takes awhile for everything to bake.  The pie was delicious too!

I wish I could say I already knew what to wear, but who knows what our weather will be like in a month.  I wanted to share a couple options over the next few weeks that could work for whatever weather your holiday brings you.  The wild unknown of the forecast is one thing that makes this sweater such a great option.  It has that cozy knit feel I love for fall and provides a small amount of warmth perfect for a light breeze.  The knit does have larger holes and the sleeves are 3/4 length which makes it ALSO work for these warm days we can’t seem to shake.  This sweater is see through. I have a camisole on underneath it.

I dressed this look up a little bit with these pretty floral earrings that add color and sparkle to the look.  Shoes are another great way to add color to an outfit.  These flats are the perfect compliment to the soft pink of the earrings.  I went with a simple long necklace to not distract from the statement earrings.  All together I love this look as a casual Thanksgiving dinner outfit with family or friends.  Comfy, Dressy, Classic, and small pops of color, just how I like it.
