Boho Chic Outfit | Blue Floral Tank Top

Hello Ladies! So did ya’ll preview the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale over the weekend? I took a little peek and decided flared jeans are on my priority list this year! I picked up this affordable option last year and wear them so much! I decided to splurge on a pair this year. Dark wash flared jeans are great for a casual office environment, creating a dressed up casual look, and transforming flowy tops into a boho chic outfit.
The semi-cropped length, flowy style, and floral print of this top transform into boho chic when paired with flared jeans. I added in my espadrille wedges to complete the look. Want to make this top have more of a dressed up feel? A few weeks ago, I paired it with white shorts and flat sandals for a different look. You have to love that versatility.
I like that the dark blue of these jeans pulls out the darker shades of blue in the floral top as well as helps the white and orange really pop! This blue floral tank top is super flowy and lightweight which makes it perfect for the summer heat.

Pink Button Front Dress

At the start of summer, I saw so many women wearing these cute button front dresses. Living in the 100 degree heat of a Texas summer, I knew I needed one! I originally wanted a white one, since white is totally having a moment right now. While searching , I found this gorgeous rose pink button front dress. I love the earth tone vibe to it. It gives a fun boho chic style when paired with my suede brown boots and saddle bag. I added in my bangles and arrowhead white earrings to complete my boho inspired look.
You can change the vibe of this dress with a pair of wedges and a change of the bag. You could also opt for a simple gold earring to create another cute and casual summer outfit. This dress is so lightweight and breathable! It was exactly the dress I needed for an outdoor brunch with friends. You can also add a cute khaki colored or denim jacket to this look to transition this dress into fall or to wear during Spring.
I have such a low key weekend planned. July was a pretty busy month for me, so I’m kinda excited to just chill and catch up on blog work. The rest of August and September is looking to be a busy one too with a trip to New York planned, a friend’s wedding, and my birthday at the end of this month. I’m definitely going to enjoy this weekend in case I don’t get another slow one for a few months. I hope whatever you are up to this weekend, you enjoy every moment of it. Thanks for stopping by this week!

Hello friends! Are you ready for the weekend?!?!? It’s expected to rain most of the weekend here which normally is kind of a bummer, but we decided a cozy relaxing weekend in sounds really nice. We’ve been pretty busy lately, and I think the break is a welcome one.
Summer is slowly creeping up on us, so I wanted to share a go to look of mine for warmer days. I love the look of distressed shorts, but I find most pairs are too short for my liking. My daisy dukes days are long over my friends. 🙂 I spotted this pair at Nordstrom for only $39 and loved not only the length, but the minimal distressing too. It’s just enough to be on trend, but not so much that you can see all that’s underneath them. They come in a few other colors, and I’m currently debating on buying a white pair too. I mean you can’t pass up on a comfy pair of distressed shorts under $40!
Sizing Note: I went one size up because I like a looser fit to my shorts. I did try on my normal size too, and they did fit but not the more comfortable loose look I prefer for shorts.
Kimonos are one of my favorite items to pair with shorts. They give off a boho vibe and can provide a little extra coverage on the back side. Plus, they really make your plain old tee and shorts combo look super chic and effortless. I kept with my boho vibe and paired this look with my peep toe booties, but wedges or flat sandals would work too.
I hope ya’ll have a fabulous weekend, and thanks for taking some time out of your week to stop by and visit.

Happy Friday friends! I can’t think of a better kick off to the weekend than a little boho chic style! For me, boho chic is effortless, vintage inspired, free spirited, but still a little put together. It’s not a style I wear often, but when spring rolls around it’s one I love to dip my toes into for weekends. My boho chic outfits are filled with flowy dresses and usually a fun crossbody bag.
I love this look for hitting up a festival or day at the museum, even a little brunch with friends. The print and colors of this dress are so much prettier than the store’s pictures. I really wanted a fun floral swing dress for spring, and I liked the look of this one on the site. When it arrived, I was a bit taken back and excited to see the color and print details were even prettier in person. I love the tie neckline detail that is super popular right now. It can make it feel a little low cut if it loosens, but you can wear a white bandeau or lace bralette underneath it.
I tend to gravitate towards a boot for a boho chic look. I think these brown suede booties are the perfect compliment to this dress. You could also pair it with gladiator sandals or a wedge too. Speaking of wedges, my backordered until the end of the month pair shipped yesterday!! A full 11 days before their expected ship date! I definitely did a little happy dance when I got the email notification.
I’m closing in on the halfway mark of my Whole30! Be sure to check back on Monday to see how it’s going and what I have been eating! I hope ya’ll have a great weekend! I will see you next week.
