Casual Weekend Outfit for Fall & Link Up

Hello friends and Happy Halloween!! Ya’ll Vegas was so much fun! We went to a dance club, a Britney Spears concert, ate a fancy dinner, and had plenty of time to explore. I loved stopping by the Bellagio fountains for the water show, and Britney was amazing. I think it would be fun to go back for a bit longer and do more yummy restaurants and shows, and maybe a day trip to the Grand Canyon. I think I’ll be adding it to my future vacations list.
I wore almost this exact outfit on Saturday when I was walking around the strip. I opted that day for my camisole instead because it was a bit on the warmer side. First of all, I walked 20,000 steps that day, so I can confirm this outfit is perfect for a day with tons of walking.
I’m so happy with this vest purchase because it’s the perfect add on to change up your basics. I love this casual weekend outfit for all my moms out there attending weekend sports too. Originally, this outfit came to be when a gal pal was looking for some lighter pieces she could add on to her basic tee and jeans for her son’s soccer games. I recommended a few cute vests including this one that I own and love.
I think vests are the perfect add on for fall and winter. You can layer them over sleeveless, short sleeve, and long sleeve tops. Additionally, you can pair them with dresses like I did here. A few of the other vest ideas I found for her are below:

Cute Fall Top for Warm Weather

Happy Friday Friends! I am really excited for this weekend. Some of my blogger pals and I are heading to a Style Summit at the big Houston mall. It’s kind of like a blog conference. Several of the speakers are bloggers I love, so I’m excited to listen to all they have to say. I’m also excited to see some of my blogger friends too. It’s been awhile since I have seen some of them, so I’m ready for a little catch up session. Drop me a comment if you are in Houston and going to it.
We finally received our first taste of real cool fall weather, like pull out your sweaters cool. It was nice to finally wear a few of the items I have been eyeing in my closet. The afternoons are still on the warm side though. One of my most requested fall items from those in Houston is for a cute fall top for warm weather. It’s hard to not want to put on those fall colors when it’s already October.
I found this top a few weeks back on sale, and it’s on sale again right now! The navy and red striped design just felt very fall to me. The loose fitting jersey knit material and flutter sleeve made this perfect for warmer days. The mockneck turtleneck is loose fitting too, so not to restricting which is not always fun in hot weather.
I immediately pictured this top with black skinny jeans and brown riding boots. You could also pair with booties or flats for a shoe that might work better in warm weather. I just couldn’t resist how cute these pieces look together.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for reading, and I will see you guys back here next week.

Gray Cold Shoulder Sweater

Happy Friday the 13th!! Big plans tonight include watching the Houston Astros in game 1 of the ALCS playoff series, and that pretty much sums up the weekend too. Plus, a few other fun things with friends. We FINALLY started experiencing some slightly cooler weather in the mornings and evenings, and I really hope it carries into the weekend.
We may have some cooler weather, but it’s definitely not quite cool enough for this cozy sweater yet. I actually was not even shopping for sweaters when I found this one. I have a fun trip later this month and was perusing new arrivals for that when I laid eyes on this gray cold shoulder sweater. It’s Caslon which is a brand I love from Nordstrom because of their decent prices and good quality. It started on my wish list, but then I decided why not just get it now because all the good things are selling fast this year.
I love the tunic length of this sweater. I’m planning on pairing it with leggings and boots this winter. This sweater is a good mix of trendy and basic. The cold shoulder cutouts keep you on trend for winter, and the cozy v-neck style makes it a great basic. This sweater is also very thick and very warm.
I wanted to create a cute errand running or family gathering outfit with this sweater. Tis this season for family parties and lots of running around town trying to get all the things done. My pink flats were the perfect compliment to the gray and help add a little something special to the basic look.
My pink flats are from last year, but the brand released a very similar style in the same color this season. Ya’ll if you don’t have a colorful pair of flats, you need some! I wear these all year long. It’s such a fun way to dress up your office outfits or just a basic top and jeans.
Ya’ll have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!!

Yellow Striped Sweater

Happy Friday!!! Anyone have any big plans this weekend?? I have another low key weekend planned which will be my last one for awhile, so I plan to enjoy every relaxing minute of it.
If you have been looking for a great long sleeve lightweight sweater to wear on weekends, I have found it ya’ll. I originally ordered this yellow striped sweater because I loved the shade of yellow. Once it arrived, I realized I could probably live in this sweater. It’s an oversized high/low fit which is super comfy, but the sleeves are fitted. Fitted sleeves on an oversized sweater is super cozy and comfy for me.
With oversized sweaters, I like to do a little front tuck to give the overall look a little shape. I made sure to shoot a couple photos untucked too, because it looks cute that way too. This yellow sweater is also perfect to pair with shorts (worn that way here) and wear on warmer weekends. Hello Texas fall! Also, I have to mention this sweater comes in a few other colors options too. I’m seriously debating the black and white one, because this is one of those tops that will be wearable for many fall and winter seasons ahead.
I paired this yellow shade with these cute pink earrings, because I love the pink and yellow color combo. I think the pink earrings slightly dress up this more casual fall outfit too.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! See you guys back here next week!
