Black Slouchy Boots + Cold Shoulder Sweater & Link Up
Hello Lovelies! I’m so excited this week is finally here! In a few days, I will be making my first ever trip to Vegas!! I’m going for a girlfriend’s bachelorette weekend, so you know it’s going to be fun. If you have any recommendations on things to do during the day, leave them in the comments. Our evenings are planned, but we have some free time during the day.
Now let’s talk about this outfit. My cold shoulder sweater love continues with this one in the most gorgeous shade of dark purple. The color is so rich giving such a dressed up feel to the whole outfit. I was sold on this sweater as soon as I saw this color. It’s the perfect shade for any and all holiday parties!
The weather is finally cooling off, and I may have to break out these black slouchy boots for work this week. The afternoons might be a little too warm, but I can’t wait any longer to wear them. I know they will pair perfectly with skirts and dresses on cooler days. One other way I plan to get lots of use out of these boots is with skinny jeans to all the happy hours and holiday parties. This whole outfit would be perfect for Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Date Night Outfit: Red Deep V Blouse & Link Up
Hello friends! Do I have the perfect date night top for ya’ll today or what? The color red is totally having a moment right now and is a current color trend. Although, I feel weird calling the color red a trend, because I feel like red is always in style. It’s the perfect power color to wear to stand out or keep the attention of say your hot date. 🙂
One of my favorite date night looks is subtle sexy. This red deep v blouse is so perfect for that vibe. The plunging deep v and little shoulder slits show just enough skin in the right places for a little sex appeal, but overall you are really pretty covered up. I always feel like people think sex appeal means show as much skin as you can get away with, but I love little peeks in just the right places.
This top comes in a few color options, but I could not resist such a gorgeous style in this bold red shade. Black skinny jeans were the perfect pairing to complete my date night look. I think this outfit would be cute if you were meeting someone for drinks.
Also, I love pairing booties with skinny jeans, but I feel like these pictures don’t show just how cute the skinny jean tucked into a bootie can be. My main tip is too make sure the jean is a more tapered fit at the ankle to prevent to much bulk and risk making the ankle look bulky. I still haven’t had these jeans hemmed, so that’s probably why it looks off to me. #procrastinator I don’t want to have to give them up for a week. I wear them too much.

The Perfect Holiday Sweater + Link Up
Hello friends! Is it too early to start planning holiday outfits?? November always seems to be the start of the holiday party season, so if you are an early bird this may be the perfect time to start picking out a few party ready pieces.
Enter this sweatshirt. Yes, you read that correctly this gorgeous chic top is a cozy, soft, and comfy SWEATSHIRT! I ordered it because I loved the really cool slightly dramatic sleeve and oh hi it’s burgundy. The sweatshirt description didn’t click until I put it on. Umm, did I just find the perfect holiday sweater, I think I might have. Holiday parties are all about dressing up in your chicest attire, and you can go in a sweatshirt and still look super chic. I love it. This top also looks cute tucked into a black pencil skirt for work.
Ok, let’s also talk about these boots. I really needed new black slouchy boots. My current pair should have retired last year. My family knows me well and sent me lots of Nordstrom gift cards for my birthday in August, so I decided to splurge and buy these boots with them. Boots are an investment, and the purchase always makes me nervous, but I cannot be more happy with them. These boots are so beautiful and the perfect amount of slouchiness while still holding the tall shape. Plus, they are the perfect shaft height for my 5’3 frame.
Two things to mention, they are narrow in the toe bed. If you have a wider foot, they may not fit or might be uncomfortable. Second, they are a pull on boot aka no zipper to make it easier. I haven’t had any problems putting them on, but I know some don’t like tall pull on only boots. Also, I’m wearing my normal shoe size.

This time of year I am often looking for dresses that can easily go from office to after work holiday party. I found this teal fit and flare dress about a month ago, but snatched it up on Cyber Monday during a 50% off sale. I’m so happy I did too. Not only is this dress super adorable, but it’s really comfy too.
I wore pretty much this exact outfit yesterday. I had my ZTA Alum Christmas party after work, and I knew this dress would be perfect for the event. It’s warm again here, but cold at work so boots didn’t make me overly hot. My backup would have been my go to nude pumps if it was warmer. Dark teal and berry pink are such a fun and pretty color combo. I received so many compliments on these earrings last night from some of my ZTA sisters. They are the perfect statement piece to any outfit, casual or dressy. These earrings aren’t heavy either, so I can wear them all day.
I decided to play with two different shades of brown with my boots and bag. I love the contrast in color, but that they still compliment each other too. These boots are several years old, one of my favorite RueLaLa finds. I love the dark brown color and semi-chunky heel. My favorite thing about these is the unique design at the top. I have a hard time finding anything that is truly similar, but I still tried. The boots I found all have one of the traits of these from the gorgeous color to a unique design.
