Summer Work Wear: Sleeveless Sweater

Hello Ladies! Happy Friday! I’m so ready for this weekend. I’m headed to a really fun street type festival called White Linen Night on Saturday, and it should be lots of fun! Everyone wears white, walks around to check out local shops, and enjoys wine all with good friends. It’s always a fun event and the perfect excuse to wear the dress from this post.
Ok so it may be casual Friday at work, but I’m still going to throw a little summer work wear at you today. The fun thing about a Texas summer is that it’s 100 degrees outside and about 60 inside. 🙂 I like to try and find summer work clothes that work with both hot and chilly temps. This sleeveless sweater is the perfect example of that kind of piece. It is warm and cozy for the office, but it’s sleeveless for when I have to step outside on my lunch break or for happy hour.
Not only is it perfect for summer, but it’s going to work for fall too giving me more use out of it. This work outfit could work for both summer and fall. I mean our fall is still on the warmer side. For a more casual look, you can pair this top with jeans and boots or booties for a weekend date night look.

Green and Blue Striped Midi Dress

Hello Lovelies! I’m sharing this gorgeous striped midi dress a day earlier than my normal posting schedule because I have something super fun planned for tomorrow’s post. Let’s just say it’s something I have never done here on the blog before and it’s all about the first day of public access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. So check back tomorrow for all the excitement.
But today, let’s talk about this green and blue striped stunner. This striped midi dress caught my eye, and I could not stop thinking about it. I love the blue and green color combo and the different shades of green. The way the stripes and colors work together is just so effortless and gorgeous. I felt like this is one of those dresses that is so simple yet still an eye catcher.
It’s the perfect summer work dress and would also be perfect to wear to a bridal or baby shower. I have worn this to work already, and it is also really comfy. I liked that the band across the stomach wasn’t overly tight. I did however realize that this dress works best with a strapless bra. Multiple times throughout the day I had to re-hide my bra straps from peeking out the sides.
For a few different styling ideas, you can add a denim jacket to make this dress more casual or a white blazer for a more professional look.
Alright ya’ll, I will see you back here tomorrow for some Nordstrom Anniversary Sale fun. Thanks for swinging by today!

Yellow Ruffle Skirt for the Office

Hello Friends and Happy Weekend!
I just couldn’t wait any longer to share this adorable work outfit. When I originally ordered this yellow ruffle skirt, I pictured it with a striped tee or fitted black top. It arrived in the same package as the purple cami, and when they landed next to each other, I knew they had to be styled together.
Depending on your office dress code, a strappy top like this may not meet the dress code. This outfit combo would also be perfect for a bridal or baby shower, or a summer luncheon. You could also pair a denim jacket, white blazer, or short white cardigan with this outfit to make it more office friendly.
This yellow ruffle skirt is so fun and was a bit of an impulse buy. I went to order more of these strappy camis during a sale, and I fell instantly in love with this print. Yellow and ruffles are both turning into trends this summer too. This skirt is really lightweight and has lots of movement, so it’s going to perfect to wear during the hottest days of summer.
Oh and I double checked and these earrings are officially back in stock in white for those of you who missed out last time I posted them HERE. They are super lightweight and ya’ll white earrings goes with EVERYTHING! If you want a statement earring that you can wear a bunch, I would really look into a white pair.
Alright you guys, thanks for taking some time out of your weekend to swing by. I always appreciate it. Ya’ll have a fabulous rest of your weekend and I will see you back here on Tuesday for a super casual summer outfit.

Back Tie Blouse | Trina Turk Skirt (similar style | similar style) | Lace-Up Heels | Gold Drop Earrings | Similar Gold Bangle | Aviator Sunglasses | Lips: MAC Craving | Nails: c/o Essie Party on a Platform
I love tops that catch you off guard like this one. From the front this outfit is the perfect girl boss serious work wear look, but when you turn around the gorgeous bow tie detail takes this look to the next level. I paired it with my favorite winter pencil skirt for the perfect outfit to go from work day meetings to happy hour drinks with your girlfriends. My skirt is a few years old, so I linked a few similar styles from Trina Turk.
I have already paired this top with my maroon skinny pants from this post. This top works perfectly left untucked over them. You could also make a smaller bow and create a long flowing in the breeze look with the ends when you walk. For a casual look, pair this blouse with a cute pair of distressed skinny jeans and my go to nude pumps for the perfect date night look.
The hardest part of this top is deciding what to do with my hair. I have been playing with braiding, so I went with that for the photos. A high ponytail or bun also looks cute with a top like this one. If you want to go hair down, I would definitely tie a small bow and leave the ends long so the detail can still be showcased.
I hope ya’ll are having a great week, and thanks for swinging by!
