Coral Top + White Denim

Hello friends! Well it has been a pretty busy week over here. Mostly playing catch up from being out of town all weekend. You know the fun things like laundry and grocery shopping. I’m also trying to get back on the healthy eating track after doing a little indulging in all the delicious holiday food over the weekend.
With summer weekends officially in full swing, I wanted to share this cute dressy casual summer outfit idea featuring a coral puff sleeve top and white jeans. I talk often about how much I love mixing all the bright colors with my white jeans. It’s such a good combo for summer. I decided my floral sandals were the perfect compliment to add in a print to this look. With solid color crew neck tops, I usually like to go with a long pendant or statement necklace .
This coral top also get double duty at the office. It pairs perfectly with my floral striped midi skirt and works with pencil skirts too. You could try a fun color mix and do a green or bright blue skirt with a nude colored heel.
Also, I wanted to mention it’s the last few days to sign up for my summer online personal styling session. A little background on the styling session, in case you missed me mentioning it in a past post. Each session is a 3 step process designed to help you clear out the closet clutter and create a wardrobe you can feel confident in all season long.
We start by sending you a closet checklist that includes wardrobe basics and some seasonal and trendy items. You go through your closet and let me know what you have, want, or don’t care for. I take that list and do a little shopping for you to help fill in any areas you may need or want. Then, we send you around 30 outfits you can create based on the closet checklist. I also help you create outfits with items you already own and love that are not included in our checklist.
My past clients have mentioned feeling less anxiety about getting dressed in the morning and more confident putting outfits together, loving their newly organized closet free from items they were no longer wearing, and feeling more mindful while shopping. You will not be asked to buy a whole new wardrobe or anything like that, there is no obligation to buy any of the items I recommend to you. One of our main goals is to help you work with what you already have to create a versatile summer wardrobe, the shopping help is just a little bonus! AND, it’s all online so you can live anywhere to join a session with me. These summer sessions are only 3 weeks, and you can sign up or find more information at MillieandMain.com.
Hope ya’ll have a great rest of the week, thanks for stopping by!

Summer Vacation Outfit with White Jeans

Well this post is well timed, since I am about to head out of town and enjoy the nice, long Memorial Weekend in Dallas. It’s my first time heading out of town this year, so I’m calling it a little mini vacation. With school wrapping up and summer quickly approaching, I wanted to share a cute summer vacation outfit idea with white jeans.
I love white jeans during the summer! They can so easily dress your look up or down, and I love how bright colors pop against them. If you need something for some hotter weather, you could also pair this outfit with white shorts. Lately, I have been craving all the bright colors. I’m usually such a neutrals person, but the colors, prints, and patterns are reeling me in this season. This pink striped top would be the perfect beach vacation companion. The bright pink makes me think of Florida or Palm Beach. It would be perfect to pack along for a cruise too.
I think this top and jeans combo could be dressed up with a pair of block heel sandals or dressed down with sandals for a day of touristing. I love packing outfits that can easily transition from day to evening with a few simple swaps for vacations. It’s a great way to save on suitcase space. My sandals are an investment piece, but ya’ll they are so comfy!! I wear them so much during the warmer months. If you are thinking about a pair, I went up a half size on them.
Anyone have any fun trips coming up this summer?? I hope you all have a fun Memorial Weekend, and be sure to stop by on Monday for a list of the most fashionable sales!

Blush Pink Cardigan + Happy New Year

Happy New Year!! I’m such a fan of new years, new months, new weeks, even a new day. A chance to make new goals and keep working towards old goals. Every year, I love to take time to look back on my personal highlight reel from the past year. I think about my accomplishments, happy memories, and overcome obstacles.
I start every year creating a list of goals for the year. This year, I decided to actually write down said goals. I’m going to keep them on my fridge for a few weeks, and then put them in a folder to look at throughout the year occasionally when I need a little motivation and then at the end of the year. I also found this cool exercise to write down what you plan to be doing and celebrating next NYE, so I included that at the bottom of my list.
Do you make goals and resolutions at the start of the year? I’d love to hear some of them!
I’m starting off 2019 with the prettiest winter outfit. Umm hello long cardigan. You know I LOVE long cardigans and layering. I could not resist this gorgeous blush pink cardigan. It has a drape waterfall design, so you can wear it open or let it close a little. The inside of the cardigan is white, so it shows a pretty two color effect on the drape portion.
I immediately pictured this outfit with an all white ensemble and rose gold jewelry to play on the pink. My rose gold jewelry obsession is growing thanks to Kendra Scott’s new winter line! I wanted it all. I love how these statement earrings really dress up this basic filled outfit. I added in my heels to keep this look on the more dressy casual side. You could also opt for flats.
I’m headed back to the office today after 4 fabulous days off. I always find that first day back to be the hardest! I’m joining some gal pals for happy hour after work, so I’m working for that glass of wine today!
Also, I started a new giveaway over on Instagram. It’s so easy all you have to do is follow me and like all my January posts, and you can win a makeup bag filled with It Cosmetics products! Be sure to hop on over if you want to enter!

A Cardigan, A Coat, A Casual Coatigan

We survived Thanksgiving and Cyber Week Sales, and now we move on to the Christmas season. I love the Christmas season, the music, lights, decor, Hallmark movies, oh it’s so fun! I’m planning a little bit different holiday content this year. I’m kind of excited about it, so stay tuned as I share a little bit of my love of the Christmas season with you alongside the fabulous outfit posts of course.
We are currently in a mix of weather over here, so all the layers are necessary. I have purchased a couple cardigan coats before, or as they are becoming know the coatigan. It’s a way to create a slightly dressier look to the normal cardigan without the weight of a coat. It’s perfect for our in between weather!
This casual coatigan has a blazer like feel with the lapel lines on the front. The salt and pepper dark gray make it work with both colors and neutrals. It would be really cute over a dress too. I loved pairing it with the white and light gray to really pull out the flecks of white in the knit. I went a little more casual with this look by adding my black booties, but a pair of black or red heels could easily dress the look up a bit.
I hope your week is going well and thanks for stopping by!!
