Gray Cold Shoulder Sweater

Happy Friday the 13th!! Big plans tonight include watching the Houston Astros in game 1 of the ALCS playoff series, and that pretty much sums up the weekend too. Plus, a few other fun things with friends. We FINALLY started experiencing some slightly cooler weather in the mornings and evenings, and I really hope it carries into the weekend.
We may have some cooler weather, but it’s definitely not quite cool enough for this cozy sweater yet. I actually was not even shopping for sweaters when I found this one. I have a fun trip later this month and was perusing new arrivals for that when I laid eyes on this gray cold shoulder sweater. It’s Caslon which is a brand I love from Nordstrom because of their decent prices and good quality. It started on my wish list, but then I decided why not just get it now because all the good things are selling fast this year.
I love the tunic length of this sweater. I’m planning on pairing it with leggings and boots this winter. This sweater is a good mix of trendy and basic. The cold shoulder cutouts keep you on trend for winter, and the cozy v-neck style makes it a great basic. This sweater is also very thick and very warm.
I wanted to create a cute errand running or family gathering outfit with this sweater. Tis this season for family parties and lots of running around town trying to get all the things done. My pink flats were the perfect compliment to the gray and help add a little something special to the basic look.
My pink flats are from last year, but the brand released a very similar style in the same color this season. Ya’ll if you don’t have a colorful pair of flats, you need some! I wear these all year long. It’s such a fun way to dress up your office outfits or just a basic top and jeans.
Ya’ll have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!!

The Perfect Holiday Sweater + Link Up

Hello friends! Is it too early to start planning holiday outfits?? November always seems to be the start of the holiday party season, so if you are an early bird this may be the perfect time to start picking out a few party ready pieces.
Enter this sweatshirt. Yes, you read that correctly this gorgeous chic top is a cozy, soft, and comfy SWEATSHIRT! I ordered it because I loved the really cool slightly dramatic sleeve and oh hi it’s burgundy. The sweatshirt description didn’t click until I put it on. Umm, did I just find the perfect holiday sweater, I think I might have. Holiday parties are all about dressing up in your chicest attire, and you can go in a sweatshirt and still look super chic. I love it. This top also looks cute tucked into a black pencil skirt for work.
Ok, let’s also talk about these boots. I really needed new black slouchy boots. My current pair should have retired last year. My family knows me well and sent me lots of Nordstrom gift cards for my birthday in August, so I decided to splurge and buy these boots with them. Boots are an investment, and the purchase always makes me nervous, but I cannot be more happy with them. These boots are so beautiful and the perfect amount of slouchiness while still holding the tall shape. Plus, they are the perfect shaft height for my 5’3 frame.
Two things to mention, they are narrow in the toe bed. If you have a wider foot, they may not fit or might be uncomfortable. Second, they are a pull on boot aka no zipper to make it easier. I haven’t had any problems putting them on, but I know some don’t like tall pull on only boots. Also, I’m wearing my normal shoe size.
Alright ya’ll, thanks for stopping by today. Have a great week, and don’t forget to check out the Style File Link Up for even more outfit inspiration!

Lightweight Sweater for Fall & Link Up

Hello, Hello! How was your weekend? Mine went by too fast as always. I had a pretty laid back weekend and caught up on things around the house. Catch up weekends are sometimes the perfect way to start a new month because I start with a clean house and a shorter to do list.
Yep, I’m still loving this blush pink and gray color combo. It’s a fun and pretty break from my normal dark and jewel tones of the season. You may remember the last time I wore these jeans with my pink cardigan HERE.
Texas fall and winter can be a bit on the warmer side which is why I love this lightweight sweater for fall. First, it’s a thinner knit so you will not get overly warm as with a chunky knit sweater. Second, I love the flowy movement. It helps allow air in, so you can breathe and stay cool. An a-line sweater design is perfect for a long pendant necklace too.
Alright ya’ll, it’s Style File Link Up day, so be sure to keep on scrolling and share your fall outfit inspiration! I can’t wait to check them all out.

NSALE Find: Cold Shoulder Sweater & Link Up

Hello Hello! I’m sharing another cute little Nordstrom Anniversary Sale find today! Ok I know it’s totally not the season or weather for this top, but by the time it is I feel like this cute cold shoulder sweater will no longer be available. I decided why not share it now and while it’s still on sale!
This sweater has several cute little details from the lace like knit across the chest to the pretty shoulder ruffles to the fun shoulder cutouts. I liked this sweater because it was different and had some pretty and feminine touches.
The sweater is on the thinner side, so you may need a cami underneath it. I didn’t wear one for the pics, but I might when I officially wear it out. I love thin lightweight sweaters, because we really don’t get much cold winter days, so they are perfect.
Also, you guys I found my purple bag online!!! Like the exact one! I purchased mine at Nordstrom Rack a few years ago, and I rarely find it anywhere online. So if you eye it every time I share it, there it is!!
It’s also Style File Link Up Day! So scroll on down to share your latest outfit post or to find more fabulous style inspiration. Thanks for stopping by.
