Navy Sweater & Y Choker Necklace
Hello ladies! Since last week my hair was covering this gorgeous necklace in all the pics, I made sure to get a few good closeups of this beauty for today’s post. I still think a y choker necklace is such the perfect necklace style for any v-neck top.
This navy sweater is a great lightweight and cozy sweater option for our Texas winters. I love the loose and flowy fit too. It pairs perfectly with skinny jeans and over the knee boots. Speaking of OTK boots, mine are old, so I linked a similar pair below. If you love the ones I have on, they are the Enzo Angiolini Holdyn boot. I found a few pairs available on EBay if you want a good deal too.

Ivory Wool Coat

c/o Wool Peacoat | Teal Ruffle Hem Dress | Nude Heels | Elaine Turner Clutch (old) | c/o Long Pendant Necklace | Sophie Earrings
When my best friend took these photos for me, her initial comment was that this outfit was very Kate Middleton. A compliment I happily accepted because I am British Royalty obsessed over here! I spent our ice storm days this week binge watching a few episodes of The Crown on Netflix. It’s so good ya’ll!
This ivory wool coat really makes the whole outfit come to life. I feel like you could pair this coat with so many dresses and still have a polished and sophisticated look. I love the fit and flare style to add a little shape and personality to the coat when buttoned up. One little detail on this coat that really excited me was the gold buttons. I don’t like when my coat has brown buttons, and I want to wear black shoes. It’s one of those silly little things that bothers me. I’d probably never notice it on someone else, but on me not a fan. Also, we shot these photos on a really cold day, and I can vouch for this wool coat’s warmth.
Despite not living in a super cold area, I still love buying coats and jackets, but I’m not a big fan of spending too much. Living in South Texas, I really only need a coat for a month maybe two each year. It’s one of the things I like about Wilsons Leather. Their coats and jackets are top quality, but in an affordable price range. And yes, they sell more than just leather like wool and trench coats.
I hope ya’ll have a great weekend. I have plans to check out the Oscar de la Renta exhibit at our Fine Arts Museum. He was one of my favorite Red Carpet designers, so I’ll probably easily spend most of a day getting lost in a sea of his dresses. I can’t wait!
I received compensation and this product courtesy of Wilsons Leather, however, all opinions are entirely my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Lady in Violet.

How to Wear Winter White
| OUTFIT DETAILS |
Striped Sweater | White Skinny Jeans | Nude Heels | Tory Burch Tote Bag | c/o Y-Choker Necklace | c/o Gold Drop Earrings | Nails: Butter London Earl Gray
Hello! Well it’s officially winter again here in Houston, no worries it will be back in the 70s by Saturday. 🙂 Whenever I post daily outfits on Instagram, I think people who don’t live here probably get so confused why I’m in a thick sweater one day and a sundress two days later.
This cute little striped sweater is made for Houston winter. It’s perfect for the days that are a little warmer, but when you still need a light sweater. If you live in a colder environment, this would be perfect for Spring.
I love styling my white jeans in winter, forget that no white after labor day rule. A few of my favorites on how to wear winter white – an all neutral look like this one. I add in colors like gray and beige to compliment the white. Another option would be to add in rich, dark colors like violet, navy, or dark teal. Think rich jewel tones.
Okay, I think my hair is covering this necklace in every picture. If you wear v-neck tops a lot, you need this necklace. It’s the currently on trend y-design, and so perfectly paired with a v-neck top. It would make a great addition to dress up a t-shirt too.

From Loungewear to Happy Hour

Bateau Neck Tunic Sweater | White Skinny Jeans | Nude Heels | Tory Burch Tote | Coin Pendant Necklace | White Earrings | Nails: Butter London Earl Gray
Hello Ladies and Happy Friday!! When you find a sweater that you can pull off as both loungewear and a cozy tunic to wear to happy hour or brunch, you have to buy it. Am I right?!?!
I ordered this tunic sweater in a small, and it runs a little big. The neckline should not be so open based on the picture, but I really liked the oversized look of it as a one shoulder top. If you want it to look less oversized, I would go down a size. For loungewear, I would pair this with my lace bralette and leggings. It makes for an easy change into your happy hour or brunch attire by adding skinny jeans and heels.
Also, the color I have is olive grove. It’s like an olive/gray mixture. The olive doesn’t really come across in these pics as much as it does in person.
Ya’ll have a great weekend!!
