Umm how gorgeous is this skirt?!?!  I picked this skirt up at the Topshop Preview Party I mentioned on Friday.  This skirt and I were definitely love at first sight.  I have been working really hard to stick to my goal of adding more bright colors to my wardrobe.  I have not purchased one black or dark colored clothing item this spring!  It has been hard, but the amazing assortment of bright spring items is making it much easier.  I even picked up TWO bright and colorful skirts from Topshop.  I love the bright peach color of this midi skirt.  The color works beautifully with my darker chambray shirt.  I rolled up the sleeves to transform my chambray from a fall favorite to a spring staple.  I am a huge fan of pleats on a skirt.  It adds the perfect feminine detail to the skirt and creates beautiful movement when walking or twirling.  The pleated portion of the skirt is slightly sheer, but it has a matching above the knee slip underneath.  This little feature is going to be perfect for the hot days to come!  I have a few baby showers coming up this spring, and this skirt and chambray outfit is going to be perfect to wear to those events!  I added a nude wedge to keep my look casual, but you could easily add a nude heel to dress this look up a bit.  With these midi length skirts, I like to pick a nude shoe to create an illusion of longer legs.  It is a tried and true eye-trick that this petite girl loves to follow!  I hope everyone had a Happy Easter!  I spent the day enjoying time with family which was just perfect!

Hello Holiday Monday! Am I the only one still playing catch up from the holidays?? I’m so excited to have an extra day this weekend.  I think it has rained the last three weekends straight, which means I did not get much done.  Not only do I have an extra day this weekend, but the sun is out!  Perfect weather to be productive and tackle my ever growing to-do list. Even though, I am not heading in to the office today. I still wanted to share some office outfit inspiration.  I love love love this skirt!  When it first came in the mail, I was worried it was to long for my petite height, but once I put it on I really liked the length.  For starters, the length is perfect for boots.  I love how it covers the top portion of the boot.  I can get away with wearing my navy fleece lined leggings and no one will know they don’t match.  The material is also thick which was perfect for the cold days we had last week.  Isn’t the scalloped lace beautiful on this skirt?  It was what originally drew me to this skirt.  Because of the length and fullness of the skirt, I kept my top fitted and simple.  A full top and bottom would be too overwhelming with my petite height.  I love the way the dark violet compliments the gray of the skirt.  The violet and gray colors standout from each other while still working together.  Now off to tackle that to do list!!!

I love a good cowl neck sweater.  You can mix it up and wear it several ways.  On colder days, you can tighten up the cowl neck portion to create a more turtleneck look, or open it up and show off a beautiful necklace.  Lately, I have been gravitating toward feminine detailing. The scalloped edges and cutout design on this skirt are so beautiful.   These two pieces go together perfectly!  Plus, camel and black are one of the hottest color combinations right now!  It is gorgeous and fun pieces like these that make me think maybe winter isn’t so bad after all!

Shift dresses are probably my favorite thing to wear to work, but coming in a close second are skirts! With skirts, you can change up your top, jewelry or shoes to create a plethora of outfits.   I am so in love with the a-line midi skirt trend.  These skirts are fun, flirty, and office friendly.  I love the color of this skirt, it reminds me a little of this year’s pantone color of the year, Marsala.  The color is perfect to transition across multiple seasons, which means I can get more wears from it!  For today, I paired with a cream silk button down to wear to the office.  I think this skirt is going to pair perfectly this summer with a black or white v-neck t-shirt, maybe a fun statement necklace.  I have also been toying with the idea of trying out the crop top trend, and this skirt would go great with a long sleeve black crop top!  So many fun ideas, can you tell I have a few Christmas gift cards burning a hole in my pocket?  Thanks so much for stopping by today, have a fabulous weekend!
