Five Ways to Wear Denim Joggers
These denim joggers may be one of my favorite pairs of pants to come out of my current work from home situation. Honestly, I probably never would have tried them otherwise. While working from home, I still try to get dressed most days. I think it helps with my productivity mindset a little. I absolutely have days where I stay in loungewear all day because I also love being comfy cozy while at home.
The thing that intrigued me about these jean joggers was that they may fit both of my needs of feeling dressed for the day but also still comfy. After testing them out for a few weeks, I really think these might be the perfect work from home pants. They have a loose and comfy fit, but they are not super baggy. I like that I can push them up to create a cropped look or leave them full length if I’m a little cold. I’ve mostly them cropped because that was my favorite look plus it’s still a bit warm. These stay up cropped perfectly. The sides have a zipper that you can unzip slightly to fit around your calf muscle.
FIVE WAYS TO WEAR DENIM JOGGERS
FOR FALL
WITH A SWEATER
When I put this outfit together, it totally gave me Carrie Bradsaw vibes. I always loved that her outfits featured items that you wouldn’t think to put together but totally worked and looked fabulous. A sweater was not something I originally thought about when I tried on these denim joggers. They have a loose and baggier fit which instantly makes me think of all the fitted top pairings. But that is why the shoes of this outfit are oh so important. I tried on a few different pairs, but this peeptoe dress booties completed this look. It gives it that little bit casual, little bit trendy, and little bit dressy that I love.

WITH A PLAID TOP
A plaid top is the perfect casual pairing with my jean joggers. Since the top has a looser fit instead of tucking it in, I opted to tie at the waist. By doing this it helps bring in the waist line a bit and balance the two looser proportions on top and bottom.

FOR SPRING & SUMMER
DATE NIGHT OUTFIT
Now we move into the more fitted top options. A bodysuit is a perfect pairing with denim joggers. I went with this pink drapey one and tossed on my floral heels to show that you can totally dress up these comfy jeans for a night out on the town!

WITH A TANK TOP & WEDGES
Another summer or spring option would be a fitted tank top. I styled two outfit options for this one. First up with a scoop neck tank top and espadrille wedges for a fun daytime look, perfect for brunch or an afternoon with friends.

WITH A TANK TOP & FLATS
Another outfit option is to pair with a higher neck tank top and flats. I wore this one evening when we had a couple over for dinner. Of the two tanks, this high neck one is my favorite with this denim joggers. I think the two styles compliment each other well. For shoes, I opted for a neutral flat to help with my petite height illusion.

Five Ways to Wear an Orange Top for Different Seasons
Sometimes I go on a little bit of a color crush binge, and I don’t realize it until I see the new items hanging together in my closet. Lately it’s been the color orange. From the burnt orange dress shared a week ago to this floral print top from summer to today’s short sleeve top, and one more orange item coming next week!
For today’s post, I wanted to share how to wear the color orange year round by showcasing it with a few different jean colors that will work in all the different seasons.
Five Ways to Wear an Orange Top for Different Seasons
FOR SPRING, SUMMER, AND FALL
This first outfit will work well for spring, summer and fall. A classic faded blue color works well with the earthtone orange. To keep the look casual, I paired it with a nude colored loafer flat. This light tan color also works well with the orange shade since they both have a hint of warmth to them.

FOR SPRING AND SUMMER
For spring and summer, a light wash blue jean or white jean will work well to help make the orange really pop. With the lighter blue jean, I paired this outfit with my white slides which provides just the right amount of contrast to the light blue. For a white jean, I would opt for a light brown sandal.

FOR SUMMER
Orange is such a fun color to wear in the summer months! A faded black bottom really plays up the earthtone orange color of this top. To add a little bit of a boho vibe to this outfit, I paired it with my light tan booties. The light color also helps to add the illusion of a longer leg which I love as a petite styling tip. You could also go with flat sandals or a fun wedge to change up the look a little.

FOR EARLY FALL
In Texas, I feel like we have two falls – the early warm one and the late one with cooler jacket required temps. For the warmer early fall time of year, dark wash jean is a great option to bring orange into the fall season. To play on the warmth in the top, I paired my darker congac brown mules with this outfit. I cuffed my jeans a little higher than normal to make them just slightly above the ankle which can help make me look a little taller.

FOR LATE FALL
When the cooler temps take over, a pair of black skinny jeans and dark brown over the knee boots will make this top perfect for late fall. I opted for brown over a black boot to keep the look from having too much of a Halloween feel. I chose a black denim, so I could easily toss on a blue denim jacket for a colder day and have a good contrast in my denim colors.

Six Ways to Wear a Pink Lace Top
Hello friends! I’m so excited to be launching a new look to my fashion posts this month! My love for creating different outfits and finding as many ways to wear what is in my closet is strong, and I really wanted to find a way to bring that here to this space. Earlier this spring, I tried out a few different post ideas and finally landed on showcasing multiple outfits in one post featuring a specific item, event, or style. I hope these new posts will help you find new ways and more ways to wear the items shared here and give you some ideas for the items already in your closet. I still plan to sprinkle in individual outfits because sometimes an outfit just needs its own post.
If you have an item you would like to see featured and styled multiple ways, head to this dedicated page to make your request. You may find it pop up in a future post.
This month will feature items styled across different seasons. Being able to wear an item in 2-3 different seasons really adds value to it. The more wears and use, the better return on your investment.
You may think light pink and lace is primarily reserved for spring, but with the right styling this pink lace top can also work for fall. Heads up this lace top is not lined, and I’m wearing a white cami underneath it. It’s a good thick lace. I love the smock detailing and ruffle on the end of the sleeve. It really dresses up the top.
SIX WAYS TO WEAR A PINK LACE TOP
FOR SUMMER & SPRING
WITH SHORTS
This outfit will work for both spring and summer. The faded black shorts help lend a more boho and casual vibe to pink lace. My light tan booties are perfect to pair with shorts in the spring season. The lighter color works really well the light pink of the top.

WITH WHITE JEANS
A spring outfit roundup would not be complete without white jeans. A pastel pink color and white compliment each other well. White jeans help keep this pink lace top feeling dressed up. I added in my block heel sandals to dress this look up even more. This outfit would be perfect for brunch, Easter, or a shower event.

WITH LIGHT WASH JEANS & WHITE SHOES
Light wash jeans are one of my new must have jean colors. The two lighter shades work really well together for a light and airy spring outfit. To keep my outfit light and bright, I added in a white pair of shoes.

FOR FALL
WITH FLARED JEANS
To transition this lace blouse into fall, I’m adding in darker colors. For a dressy casual fall look, dark wash flared jeans are perfect. The light pink really stands out next the dark blue. Since this pink has more of an earth tone feel, I thought these dark tan heels really complimented the outfit. This would work for casual office look, date night, or dinner with friends.

WITH DISTRESSED JEANS & LOAFERS
This outfit is the most versatile of the bunch working for both spring and fall. Distressed jeans are an easy way to dress down a fancier top like this lace one. To keep with the casual vibe, I paired it with my tan flats. You could also add in a pair of tan booties for a more fall look.

WITH BLACK JEANS & MULES
Black is another color that really helps add contrast to the lighter pink of this top. You could go with multiple shoe options here, a tall brown boot would work really well towards the end of fall. For the early fall season, I’m really loving how this light pink works with the cognac brown of my mules.

Denim Jumpsuit

Happy September and Happy Fall-ish! I know it’s still sweltering hot here in Houston. Although, I did see some cooler temps in the forecast for next week. With a long weekend ahead of us, I’m planning to soak up the sun with some time by the pool and do a little closet organization. Since our house needs and wants list is still a bit long, we will probably take advantage of the Labor Day Sales to cross a thing or two off.
Since March, Steve and I have been out on TWO date nights. Well one of them was technically a day date, but I’m counting it. When one of our couple friends asked us out for a casual double date, we jumped at the chance to spend a night out of the house catching up with friends. I also took the chance to dress up a little in this denim jumpsuit. It’s such a cute piece for date night. I wore it with wedges, but I think I much prefer it with the pops of color in my shoes and earrings.
I have stayed away from the jumpsuit trend because I haven’t found one that fit right yet. This one fit perfect, and I love that the bottom can be rolled up to work for my petite height. The fitted style of this denim number makes it perfect to wear all by itself, but you can easily get double duty by wearing these as overalls with a fitted top underneath. See them worn here with an off the shoulder top. You can dress them up with a pretty lace top or dress them down with a fitted tshirt. Also, this jumpsuit does have small cutout on the back, but it’s still bra-friendly.
Hope you all have a fabulous long weekend!
