Orange Ruffle Top

Happy Friday Friends!! I’m so excited for this weekend because I am celebrating my birthday all weekend long! I have plans with friends on Saturday and family on Sunday. My birthday is on Wednesday, so I took the day off work and scheduled a relaxing massage. Last year, my birthday was during Hurricane Harvey, so I didn’t really do anything for it. I’m celebrating a little extra this year instead.
As I start transitioning my wardrobe to fall, I have been adding a little more earth tone shades this year. I usually prefer dark jewel tones like burgundy and all the black and gray. Earth tone shades are definitely going to popular this year because I have seen lots of pretty rust oranges, deep reds, and rose pinks. All the colors of the perfect sunset. This orange ruffle top fits that rust orange earth tone perfectly. I love the ruffle details and the higher crop of the top. It’s perfect to wear in summer and on hot fall days.
These gray suede mules were a Nordstrom Sale purchase of mine. I’m obsessed with them. I wear them mainly with cuffed jeans, but they also work with dresses and shorts. The block heel makes them comfy and easy to walk in. I have been loving all the mule style shoes out right now, so I plan to add a few more pairs this year.
I hope you all have a fabulous last weekend of August. Don’t forget to head to my last post to enter the Anthropologie Gift Card Giveaway!!

Striped Maxi Dress + GIVEAWAY!

Hello Ladies!! Ya’ll I have been on the market for a cute striped maxi dress for quite some time. I have tried on a few but most of them have been too long for my petite 5’3 height. Too say I was excited when I found this striped dress in the petite section of Loft would probably be a slight understatement. I love the overall slightly loose fit, the length is perfect with both flats and wedges on me, and I love the size of the stripes. The narrow navy and white stripes gives this dress a fun nautical feel. The navy stripe is also perfect for styling with my brown wedges and crossbody. I could not resist adding in my yellow statement earrings to this outfit.
A striped maxi dress like this one will also cross well into early fall with the addition of a denim jacket. The material on this one is a little heavy. I probably would not wear it to an outdoor party in our heat, but it would definitely work indoors.
For all my Anthropologie lovers, at the end of today’s post, I am partnering with some other lovely blogger babes to give away an Anthro gift card! Be sure to scroll down and enter! Thanks for stopping by, and I hope ya’ll have a great week!

Striped Bodysuit + a Pop of Yellow

Hello Lovelies!! Guess who is continuing her bodysuit obsession…. I think this blue striped bodysuit is so cute for summer!! I styled it with my white skinny jeans and block heel sandals for a cute weekend date night look. This outfit would also be cute for brunch or a girls’ night out. You could go more casual with denim shorts and flat sandals.
These yellow statement earrings were the perfect compliment to the blue stripes. My yellow earrings have been on heavy rotation this summer. I think I might need to order another yellow pair soon just to mix it up. I was so unsure when I picked them out how often I would wear them, but they pair well with so much!! It’s the perfect pop of color against my dark brunette hair. They are also super lightweight!
I have the busiest week ahead of me! I’m so glad for my relaxing last weekend to help me prepare for all the things going on this week. I have a few more summer outfits planned to share with ya’ll before starting the transition into fall outfits. Our Texas summer lasts sometimes until October, so I’m still over here buying summer things. I hope you all have a fabulous week ahead! Check back Friday when I will be sharing a review of my current Fitbit! See you then!

Pink Button Front Dress

At the start of summer, I saw so many women wearing these cute button front dresses. Living in the 100 degree heat of a Texas summer, I knew I needed one! I originally wanted a white one, since white is totally having a moment right now. While searching , I found this gorgeous rose pink button front dress. I love the earth tone vibe to it. It gives a fun boho chic style when paired with my suede brown boots and saddle bag. I added in my bangles and arrowhead white earrings to complete my boho inspired look.
You can change the vibe of this dress with a pair of wedges and a change of the bag. You could also opt for a simple gold earring to create another cute and casual summer outfit. This dress is so lightweight and breathable! It was exactly the dress I needed for an outdoor brunch with friends. You can also add a cute khaki colored or denim jacket to this look to transition this dress into fall or to wear during Spring.
I have such a low key weekend planned. July was a pretty busy month for me, so I’m kinda excited to just chill and catch up on blog work. The rest of August and September is looking to be a busy one too with a trip to New York planned, a friend’s wedding, and my birthday at the end of this month. I’m definitely going to enjoy this weekend in case I don’t get another slow one for a few months. I hope whatever you are up to this weekend, you enjoy every moment of it. Thanks for stopping by this week!
