I love when I have an idea for an outfit in my head, and it turns out to be just as amazing when I put it on! When I picked up this see-through tee from Topshop, I immediately imagined wearing lots of bright colors under it. I decided to try out my vision with this coral top I already owned, and it was definitely a winner! I love how coral top is longer and extends out of the bottom of the other top. The white top is not gathered at the bottom which allows the tunic length to perfectly flow underneath it. Now that I have seen how fabulous bright colors look layered under this top, I am ready to commit to a few more. I’m thinking neon yellow would be really fun under this top!
Good news for those of you who loved my clutch last time I carried it, Nordstrom has it back in stock in a slightly lighter color! This is such a beautiful neutral clutch, and it has strap if you want to toss it on your shoulder. The cutout detailing is way more gorgeous in person than in pictures. It is an envelope style purse which makes it a little small on the inside. I can fit my phone, small wallet, and lipstick, but car keys are pushing its limits. Thanks for swinging by the blog today!

Wish List: Spring Floral Dresses

| DETAILS |
TRINA TURK Elin Floral Eyelet Flare Dress | SHEINSIDE Apricot Sleeveless Florals Print Dress | BOOHOO Olivia Floral Chiffon Dress | MODCLOTH Centerpiece and Quiet Dress | BOOHOO Lauren Floral Skater Dress | SHEINSIDE Royal Blue Floral Pleated Dress
I am definitely more of a solids person, but I have been majorly crushing on all the floral prints out this spring. I noticed I have been adding a lot more spring floral dresses to my shopping wish lists lately. Our temperatures in Houston will be hitting 90 soon, so most of my wish list dresses right now are sundresses. I am obsessed with this Trina Turk dress! It is a little out of my price range for something so special and unique (aka I can’t wear it enough to justify the cost), but it is definitely on my sale watch list! The other dresses on this list are all from some fun budget-friendly sites, which are perfect if you want a few (you know like 10 or so 🙂 ) new dresses. I love the print on the other two on the top row. I can see wearing those with wedges for a girl’s lunch or one of my upcoming showers. The watercolor look of the Modcloth dress is so beautiful, perfect for a wedding or church. The light blue dress looks amazingly comfortable and perfect to throw on for some light or major weekend shopping! This Sheinside dress would be perfect for a luncheon or to wear to the office. You could probably get away with wearing a few of these in to the office. If you need some tips, check out my post on wearing sundresses in the office. Okay all this talk has me ready to pull the trigger on some floral dresses! Thanks for stopping by!

This outfit may look a little familiar. A few weeks ago, I featured this gorgeous vintage dress I picked up from a Houston vintage shop. I also mentioned in the post that I had another fun way to wear the sheer portion of the dress. I couldn’t keep you waiting any longer for that second outfit. I loved this dress as it was, but I really love it over my white denim. I like how you can really see the silhouette of the body underneath the sheer blue overlay. The white underneath really brightens up the blue of the dress! After seeing this over the white, I am considering buying a white maxi to also wear with this overlay. I also wanted to change up my accessories and keep with cool tones, so I added in some silver jewelry this time around. I’m still rocking the same shoes because I LOVE this pair! I tried on some with thinner straps, but just didn’t like how loose my foot felt in them. I love the thicker straps on these. I think it is more visually appealing (at least for me) than the thinner strap, and my foot doesn’t feel like it is going to pop out. 🙂 The top strap is Velcro which makes it super easy to get them on and off! I hope everyone had a fabulous Mother’s Day! I had a fun family filled weekend which included going to the horse races! I even won five dollars! Thanks for stopping by!

I wore a lot of color on the blog this week, so I figured today I would go back to my old favorite – all black! I love the lace detailing on this top and how the entire shoulder is exposed under the black lace. Dark colors like black are not seen too much in spring. The lace and exposed skin is a great way to wear a dark color in spring without it being too heavy. This top is from last year, but I linked two similar tops from Ella Moss. I love pairing gold jewelry with an all-black look. It has a sophisticated feel to it, and the gold both stands out from and compliments the black. Because of the lace detailing around the neckline, I chose to wear my Mika necklace. I did not want a necklace that would lie on top of the lace, because sometimes those can snag the lace. The Mika necklace was the perfect length to sit just above the neckline of the shirt. Since I kept my necklace simple, I definitely wanted a slightly bold earring. I love these Gorjana earrings I received in my latest Rocksbox. They have kind of a dual use to them. They double as a statement piece as styled here by showcasing them against a dark palate, but they are also delicate enough to allow the top to have a little bit of the statement too. Happy Friday Ya’ll!! I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend and thanks so much for stopping by my blog this week!
