Before I started blogging, I wore all silver jewelry.  I seriously owned nothing gold.  I would also always get frustrated when I would find super cute things in gold with no silver option.  One day one of my girlfriends’ and I were having one of those random topic conversations and somehow ended up on the subject of jewelry. She was the opposite of me and wore all gold.  She convinced me to give it a try, so I invested in the Mia necklace and Chloe studs from Gorjana.   It wasn’t long until I found myself reaching for them more and more.  I soon added more Gorjana pieces including one of my most worn necklaces, the Mika.  Soon I was adding gold left and right from Baublebar and Kendra Scott.  My jewelry box was soon filled with gold jewelry.

BUT, despite this, my first love still remained my silver jewelry.  I still do think gold pieces are easier to find, but I have started to find brands like Julie Vos that carry some of their pieces in both metal options!! YAY!  Kendra does this too although sometimes you have to order from the color bar to get the stone you want.  I’m someone who definitely shops in phases.  When I first started buying gold pieces, I bought tons because it was like this door to fun and trendy jewelry had been opened, and I wanted all of it!  Lately though, I find myself slowly slipping back into buying more silver.  For me I consider my silver jewelry more of an investment because I know I will always wear it.  I am willing to splurge a little like on this necklace or the Henri Bendel bracelets from Monday’s post.   Now I’m on the quest to balance wearing both metals, maybe even mixing a little, but more on that next week. 🙂

Thanks for swinging by today!!
