What I Wore This Summer
Hello Hello! Ok, I’m taking a step back into summer for a hot minute. I wanted to share a few of my daily outfits I wore over the past summer with you. I shared all of these on Instagram on either my feed or in Stories, so you can always follow along (@karenkocich) to see these there. I also upload them to the blog on the SHOP INSTAGRAM page found in the menu bar along with a few other goodies.
These outfits span from June through August. A few items might be sold out in the color I’m wearing, and better news a few items may now be on major clearance! Many of my outfits this summer were casual day outfits. I did have a few travel looks and a couple date night outfits.
Hope you enjoy this look back at some of my daily summer outfits!

Coral Pink Utility Jacket
Hello friends! How was your weekend? I kicked off my birthday week celebrating with family on Sunday. My sister picked me up a cookie cake, and my grandma made a few of my favorite desserts. It was a day of eating all the sweet things followed by a little evening cardio to burn some of that energy off, lol. I’m looking forward to a couple more celebrations this week, and then that LONG holiday weekend! No major Labor Day weekend plans, but we are supposed to have some really great weather here in Houston. I may have to venture out and take advantage at a pool or park.
So I hope you are ready for some fall outfit inspiration because I have some fabulous outfits lined up for you this season from the well known fall colors to a few lighter ones too. I can’t wait to share them all with you!!
First up for fall, this pretty coral pink utility jacket. I picked this up in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I originally wanted an olive green one, but I could not resist this pretty coral pink color. You can easily make this work for fall and wear it again in spring. If you have cooler summer weather, it would also work with a pair of shorts.
The jacket is pretty lightweight so it’s going to work well with our warm fall weather. I rolled up the sleeves for a warmer day look. This jacket also has a really pretty metallic stitch detailing on the pockets. If you want a good casual jacket for fall, a utility jacket is a really good pick. It has a fitted structure, a lightweight material, and works well when layered. I opted for the XS Petite size, and it fits perfectly! A few other color pairings for this jacket would be navy prints, yellows, and olive greens.
I hope you guys have a wonderful last week of August!

Twist Waist Tank Top
Happy Friday Ya’ll! I’m so excited to start my weekend because it’s the start of my birthday week. I have dinner plans with friends, lunch plans with family, and next week the boyfriend and I are heading to dinner. It should be a fun week of celebrating!
Here on the blog, I’m wrapping up the summer outfit inspiration for you today. One top trend that I’m slowly getting into is the twist waist top. Its a super easy way to create that slightly tucked in look. A twist or tie waist top can give you a little shape too. For us petite gals, this can help by giving an illusion of longer legs since more jean shows. This green twist waist tank top will also work in fall paired with booties and cardigans. The light green color will mix well with beiges and browns.
Alright ya’ll, get ready because we are kicking off Fall style on Monday!! I have some fabulous outfits and new ideas to share with you all for the fall season. Stay tuned for all the fun! Thanks for joining me for all your summer outfit needs this season! Hope ya’ll have a great weekend.

Yellow Ruffle Top
Hello friends and Happy Tuesday! My posting schedule is a little off this week since I arrived home later than planned from my weekend away. I had so much fun on my trip though. It was nice to get out of the city for a bit and meet/hang out with some new friends.
I’m closing out the summer outfits this week before I start sharing more fall inspiration. My summer outfit posts are definitely ending on a high note with two outfits that feature tops you can easily transition into fall. First up, this yellow ruffle top. It looks like my love for yellow is going to continue right on into fall. I’m trading in those bright yellows for some with a little more mustard in them. This top is the perfect shade to work in both summer and fall.
For my summer look with this top, I added in my distressed jeans and wedges. I also wore this top with distressed shorts a few weekends ago. For a fall outfit idea, pair this top with black skinny jeans and brown suede booties or cowboy boots if you want to try a more western outfit. You could also toss a denim jacket over this top. I like the pairing of flowy top with a structured jacket.
One of my favorite accessories to pair with a deep v like this one is a y-choker necklace. My turquoise one is old, so I linked the gold one I have. It’s the same design just no colored stones. I love the way the necklace shines and helps fill in the space across the chest. Also, this top is a deep v, but it’s bra friendly and doesn’t show anything off you don’t want seen unless you bend too far over. I know sometimes with loose fitting deep v’s you can spend the whole time making sure your bra isn’t showing in the front, but I had no issues.
Alright ya’ll, check back Friday for my last summer post before we start up with all the fall things!
