What to Wear as the Bride to Be for Wedding Events
Planning a wedding is fun, but planning the outfits for all the wedding activities is really fun. One of the best parts of planning outfits for all of your wedding events is they can be as dressy as you want because you are the bride. As someone who loves a good statement look, this fit me perfectly. For my bride to be outfits, I looked for chic, white of course, and classic with a statement piece or two. I also tried to pick dresses that fit the event whether that was the theme or location.
Since most of these outfits were from last summer, a couple dresses are sold out. I still wanted to share everything I wore as inspiration for all brides to be out there trying to figure out what to wear to bridal showers, the bachelorette party, and rehearsal dinner. Luckily for all my brides to be out there, many of these looks are still available!

BRIDAL SHOWERS
couples shower: white lace dress | pink bow heels
This lace all white dress was the perfect wedding events opener at our couples shower. I added a little wow factor with my pink bow heels. An all white dress is a classic for all events!
garden party themed bridal shower: dress old from Anthropologie | sandals
This floral embroidered white dress was perfect for my floral and garden themed bridal shower. It was the perfect combo of bridal white and floral beauty.

BACHELORETTE PARTY OUTFITS
Location: Fredricksburg, TX
driving day/winery stops: romper | pink bow heels
This romper was perfect for a multi-tasking day. We started with a 5 hour drive to Texas Wine Country followed by a few winery stops. I love the loose fit and comfy factor of this romper for the long drive, and chic romper look for wine tastings.
daytime winery tours: white dress
My white lace dress was perfect for a hot summer day visiting Texas wineries! The lace and ruffle details were perfect!
dinner outfit: white romper | pink bow heels
Fancy dinner on the town called for a structured romper. I love the fit and style of this for an evening out.
brunch dress/sold out: OPT Elena Maxi Dress
We ended up not going to brunch, so I wore this dress a few weeks later for my birthday lunch. I loved the flowy material and pastel rainbow colors.
REHEARSAL DINNER & WEDDING WEEKEND DETAILS
Our bridal party wore navy and gray in our wedding. We decided to incorporate these colors into our rehearsal dinner outfits. I found this metallic tiered midi dress and knew it was the perfect mix of cocktail and statement.
mr. and mrs. masks | bride and groom masks
I ordered a few face masks for us to use on our honeymoon for flights and walking around the resort. I ordered one set that would match our wedding day attire just in case we needed them.
flower earrings (rehearsal dinner) | pearl & diamond earrings (wedding day)
I could not decide on earrings, so I ordered both and wore one for rehearsal and the other on wedding day.
wedding day manicure: almond shape with nail color OPI Let Me Bayou a Drink
Layering with a Sweater Vest
Oh how I love creating layered outfits! I think it’s fun to try to find pieces to mix together that create a chic, stylish and effortless ensemble. I’ve been really gravitating towards vests this season. I think it’s because of our warm winter weather. Layering with a sweater vest helps me create a layered outfit without adding to much warmth to the overall look like a cardigan or jacket.
This layered look has a little bit of inspiration from an old favorite movie of mine, Clueless, when Cher is trying to pick the perfect outfit for her driving test. My semi-sheer blouse has lots of fun ruffle details on the front and on the bottom of the sleeve. The spotlight of this outfit though is they pastel sweater vest layered over my white top. Up close, it features light pink and blue colors that transform into a light purple from a distance.
I’m currently wearing this cropped top backwards. I think it works both ways and give you two very different styles. This way gives a v-neckline which lets my ruffles really pop through and add a little wow factor. I wore this flipped around with a long white basic tunic and long necklace for a preppier outfit. The boxy fit of the vest also works with a boxy or looser fitting top underneath so both pieces lays properly.

Ivory Fair Isle Sweater
Fair isle sweaters instantly make me think of the winter season. Snow days, Christmas, lots of cold weather and snuggling by a fire. We don’t get too many cold days down here, so I like to embrace winter prints like fair isle to help me get my fill of winter.
This ivory fair isle sweater is thick and warm, perfect for the coldest days. It’s a bit longer length. On my petite height, it’s perfect with leggings! I love pairing this sweater with a medium brown shoe to pull out the tan colors in the print. You could opt for boots or booties for a more casual look. I like heels to help this look more office friendly.
These are the same high waist jeans from the last post. I slightly rolled them a bit to hide the frayed hem and give my overall outfit a more polished look. These have the slightest fade to them which works perfectly with the earth tone colors in this sweater.

Happy 2022 friends! I’m really excited for this year. Last year we were all about our wedding, and this year our focus will be on our house. We have some new furniture to purchase and decorating to do. We put some of the house items on hold while prepping for the wedding, so I’m excited to get back to it. Also you guys, I have lots of fun wedding planning posts coming to the blog this year for anyone looking for tips, tricks, and advice on planning a wedding. They will be accompanied with lots of pretty photos from the wedding too for those interested.
We had a pretty warm December, so I’m excited to start the year with some cold weather. I’m celebrating with a few sweaters on the blog this week. This cropped blue sweater is so soft and warm. It has a dropped shoulder sleeve with a little ruffle detail. Ya’ll know I just love a little sleeve detail. It’s a cropped length which works perfectly with these high waisted jeans.
The black jeans have a high waist design and lots of stretch. I love the extra stretch on the high waist style which can sometimes feel a little snug if not perfectly sized. These are an ankle length with frayed hem which is usually perfect on my petite height, but these are just a bit long.
