The Sheer Top Trend

Hi friends! Happy Wednesday!
One of my favorite style tops and trends for this transitional time of year is the sheer top trend. The sheer material makes this light and breathable for slightly warm days, and you can also easily toss a cute blazer or jacket over this top and create a layered look for cooler days. I added a couple sheer style tops to my wardrobe, so stay tuned for more!
This sheer top has some of the prettiest details! The polka dot print, tie neck, and ruffles on the sleeves and front all work together to create such a gorgeous romantic top. Bonus, it comes with a matching cami to wear underneath it. I’m big on my camis matching the sheer color, so I love when they are included!
It’s the perfect top for date night, brunch, Easter Sunday, or a shower. I wanted to keep to the neutral vibe of the top and paired it with my white skinny jeans, nude shoes and clutch. Too add just a little pop, I added in these shimmery earrings. It’s a subtle statement earrings that compliments the top versus competes with it.
Also, I have to mention that the first big Shopbop Sale of the year started yesterday! Use code GOBIG19 for 15-25% off your order depending on how much you spend. This is the sale I usually look for pricier items like jeans, shoes, jewelry and bags. In case your eyes are bigger than your wallet, Shopbop has another big sale around April too. Check back Friday when I will be sharing my top sale picks before it closes on March 2nd.

Spring Work Dress under $100

Oh Hello Friday! I usually feel like short work weeks seem to drag on forever, but for some reason this one flew by! With my fun packed weekend, I could not be more excited for that too. I have plans with friends and family, and it should all be oh so fun!
One of my go to work options in the Spring and Summer is a dress. This utility shirtdress is the perfect Spring work dress and it even comes in under $100! I think the color of this shirtdress can make it work for both the office and a more casual setting. You can pair it with wedges or flat sandals for a weekend brunch or shower look. This brand usually runs small, but with this dress I found it to run just slightly big.
I could not resist pairing this gorgeous olive color with my brown peep toe booties. This brown shade is going to be perfect to pair with all the things for Spring! To add a little bit more color to this look, I added in my pink ombre earrings. I just love the pink next to the olive color and with the brown, it’s perfection! If you want to see my top picks for spring statement earrings, be sure to check out my post from last week!
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and know that I so appreciate you taking some time out of your week to stop by and read. It always amazes me that something that started out as a fun little hobby is slowly growing into something more, and a huge part of that is you guys. So Thank You! Now, let’s weekend!

Rodeo Outfit with Cowboy Boots

Hello Loves! For all my Houston readers, we are officially one week away from the rodeo cookoff which means oh so close to Rodeo Season ya’ll! A couple weeks ago, I shared a rodeo outfit idea without cowboy boots, and this week I’m going full cowgirl with a rodeo outfit with cowboy boots.
This western wear inspired outfit would work better for the last half of the rodeo when the weather warms up a bit. I finally added a denim skirt to my closet this year! I think the last one I owned was in college. I have become such a skirt person, so a frayed hem denim skirt was something I wanted to add for the spring and summer. I love the natural faded look of this one and the length. It’s the perfect start to building the perfect rodeo outfit.
I added on this western romance crop top to add a little boho and western flair to the look. My hair is covering the beautiful details on the shoulders of this top, oops! The sheer top portion also features a pretty floral design. I have another flowy crop top from this brand and wore it so much last summer. Even though, it’s not quite the weather yet, I knew I wanted to add this to my wardrobe stat! It will also be cute with skinny jeans and shorts.
I pretty much only wear cowboy boots to the rodeo, so I only own this one pair which are a few years old. I found a few similar pairs to mine though in the links section. Mine are the Bed Stu brand, and I couldn’t really find any western boots by them right now. When I’m wanting to wear jeans, I always tuck my skinny jeans into them. A flowy top like this one would be perfect for this combo, or you can add a long sleeve plaid if the weather is still cool.
If you aren’t heading to a rodeo soon, this outfit with sandals will be perfect for you during the end of spring or summer months! I hope you guys have a fabulous weekend! I have a nice 3 day weekend headed my way, and I cannot wait! Check back Monday because I’m going to put together a list of Presidents’ Day Sales for you. It’s a good time to buy both end of winter clearance and stock up on spring basics. Be sure to come by and check it out!

Early Spring Wardrobe Essentials

Hello Hello! I know some of you are still toughing it out with snow days and winter weather, but we are starting to get small tastes of Spring over here. I wanted to share a few of my early spring wardrobe essentials with ya’ll. I break Spring into two parts. Early Spring for when we still have cool mornings and evenings with warm afternoons, and late spring when we start experiencing more heat in the afternoon with warm mornings and afternoons.
I love lightweight long sleeve tops and thin sweaters for early spring. You can easily push the sleeves up in the warmer part of the day, and this top will help keep you warm on a cool morning. I like to pick them up in a few fun colors to start easing pretty pastels and bright shades back into my wardrobe. This top has a loose slightly oversized fit which is so comfy and perfect to pair with both skinny jeans and shorts.
Skinny jeans are really a year round essential for me. I wear my darker blue and black jeans the most during winter, and with the onset of spring I like to pull out my white and gray pairs along with my distressed and lighter blues. I could not resist pairing this pretty lavender color with my gray jeans.
A cute pair of open toed sandals are a must for spring! It’s nice to start breaking a way from boots and booties with a cute heeled sandal or wedge. I love this floral mule pair I picked up last year. They add such a fun detail to a casual outfit.
What are some of your early spring wardrobe essentials?
Also, I did want to mention that the company that makes my bag, Henri Bendel, officially went out of business and so this purse is no longer available for purchase. I love the design and quality of their bags, and I’m so bummed they are no longer around.
