Six Ways to Wear a Light Blue Top
For the longest time, I would not buy many blue tops. I wore mostly blue jeans and worried it was to color matching. Fast forward to me embracing new jean colors and types of bottoms, and now I love a good blue top. This light blue is a current favorite shade. I think it has more of an earthtone feel than a royal blue or baby blue, but all of these outfits would work with those colors.
Details on this top – It’s a crop style. The sides are more where the crop length is, and the front and back are longer which I really like! The arm holes are a little wider, so I wear a white bandeau bra underneath it so my bra will not show. You could probably also do a low cut cami and tuck it in.
SIX WAYS TO WEAR A LIGHT BLUE TOP
FOR FALL
WITH BLACK JEANS & BOOTS
Black jeans and brown tall boots are my go to for fall outfits and blue tops.

WITH GRAY JEANS & BROWN HEELS
The blue and gray shades work really well together! I always think brown when I think blue, and my brown heels were the perfect pop of color.

WITH BLUE JEANS & BOOTIES
Find a blue shade that provides a slight contrast to your blue top. For a more royal blue, you may try a dark or light wash jean to provide the right amount of contrast. I went with the same brown shade in my booties as above, but light tan ones would work too.

FOR SPRING & SUMMER
WITH WHITE JEANS & FLATS
White jeans works with any color and really helps make the color pop! To keep my look more casual, I opted for a light tan pair of flats. Block heel sandals would work well to dress this outfit up a bit.

WITH DENIM SKIRT & MULES
To play off my favorite way to wear this color for fall, I pulled similar colors to create a spring and summer look. I went with faded black denim for a lighter summer feel, and my brown mules for my warm weather shoe.

Five Ways to Wear Denim Joggers
These denim joggers may be one of my favorite pairs of pants to come out of my current work from home situation. Honestly, I probably never would have tried them otherwise. While working from home, I still try to get dressed most days. I think it helps with my productivity mindset a little. I absolutely have days where I stay in loungewear all day because I also love being comfy cozy while at home.
The thing that intrigued me about these jean joggers was that they may fit both of my needs of feeling dressed for the day but also still comfy. After testing them out for a few weeks, I really think these might be the perfect work from home pants. They have a loose and comfy fit, but they are not super baggy. I like that I can push them up to create a cropped look or leave them full length if I’m a little cold. I’ve mostly them cropped because that was my favorite look plus it’s still a bit warm. These stay up cropped perfectly. The sides have a zipper that you can unzip slightly to fit around your calf muscle.
FIVE WAYS TO WEAR DENIM JOGGERS
FOR FALL
WITH A SWEATER
When I put this outfit together, it totally gave me Carrie Bradsaw vibes. I always loved that her outfits featured items that you wouldn’t think to put together but totally worked and looked fabulous. A sweater was not something I originally thought about when I tried on these denim joggers. They have a loose and baggier fit which instantly makes me think of all the fitted top pairings. But that is why the shoes of this outfit are oh so important. I tried on a few different pairs, but this peeptoe dress booties completed this look. It gives it that little bit casual, little bit trendy, and little bit dressy that I love.

WITH A PLAID TOP
A plaid top is the perfect casual pairing with my jean joggers. Since the top has a looser fit instead of tucking it in, I opted to tie at the waist. By doing this it helps bring in the waist line a bit and balance the two looser proportions on top and bottom.

FOR SPRING & SUMMER
DATE NIGHT OUTFIT
Now we move into the more fitted top options. A bodysuit is a perfect pairing with denim joggers. I went with this pink drapey one and tossed on my floral heels to show that you can totally dress up these comfy jeans for a night out on the town!

WITH A TANK TOP & WEDGES
Another summer or spring option would be a fitted tank top. I styled two outfit options for this one. First up with a scoop neck tank top and espadrille wedges for a fun daytime look, perfect for brunch or an afternoon with friends.

WITH A TANK TOP & FLATS
Another outfit option is to pair with a higher neck tank top and flats. I wore this one evening when we had a couple over for dinner. Of the two tanks, this high neck one is my favorite with this denim joggers. I think the two styles compliment each other well. For shoes, I opted for a neutral flat to help with my petite height illusion.

Six Ways to Wear a Pleated Midi Skirt
When I wore this pleated midi skirt a few weeks ago, someone mentioned having the skirt and not being able to come up with outfit ideas for it. The only idea they had was to tuck in a fitted top and pair with heels. I knew I had to turn this skirt into a multi-outfit post then and there. A pleated midi skirt is way more versatile then I sometimes think it gets credit for. With a few simple swaps, you can take this skirt from the office to weekends to your next special event.
Sizing note on the skirt featured in this post, I sized up two full sizes. With a pleated skirt, I will often size up one. I want the pleats to lay flat over my hips to create a more slimming look. If they bend as sometimes happens in my regular size, it could create an illusion of a wider hip. This skirt also runs small, so I went with two sizes up. I also like the bit of extra room in the waist for tucking in tops.
Six Ways to Wear a Pleated Midi Skirt
WITH AN OVERSIZED CROPPED SWEATER
For the colder fall and winter months, pair your pleated midi skirt with a cozy oversized knit sweater. Opt for a shorter sweater that will hit just a few inches below the waist of the skirt to maintain your proportions. Pleated midi skirts tend to have a straight overall look with a slimmer top and long visible lines from the pleats. A boxy top can help add balance to the look by adding volume. For this neutral top, I added in a green stone necklace to help pull some of the color out of the skirt.

WITH A FITTED LONG SWEATER
Another sweater option is a fitted long sweater. Your top should lay comfortably over the skirt and hit just below the hips. This styling option will change up the look of your skirt and give it a more straight look and downplay some of the statement flare of the skirt. I like how it creates the illusion that you may be wearing a dress. With the longer top, I added in a long necklace just to add a little color and break up the top a little.

WITH A COLORFUL SWEATER
With so many colors in this skirt, the easiest color choice would be a neutral like white, ivory, or black. Don’t be afraid to play with color on this one. For a multi-color skirt, wear a top that matches one of the colors in your skirt to bring out that color more. Notice how the bright blue of my sweater really brings out the blue in the skirt. If you’re skirt is a solid color, opt for a complimentary color. I tend to match cool tones together or warm tones together.

WORK OUTFIT
All three of the previous outfits are office friendly, but I wanted to showcase a jacket outfit as well. I know some more professional office have requirements related to needing more of a suit look. For this longer skirt, I would also look to wear a longline blazer and one with a bit more of a fitted look. As for the top underneath, you could go simple with a white cami or add in color like a dark green or dark violet color.

CASUAL OUTFIT
This skirt may have an all dressed up vibe, but you can easily make it work in a casual outfit by styling it with more casual pieces. A denim jacket is one of my easiest tip for dressing down a look. Booties are another great styling tip for creating a more casual look. Since the skirt is lighter and long, I opted for a lighter shade bootie. To add a little print mix fun, I paired this with a horizontal striped tank to contrast the vertical lines of the pleats.

DATE NIGHT, HOLIDAY, OR WEDDING GUEST OUTFIT
What about special events? Turn this skirt into the perfect holiday or wedding guest outfit by adding a fitted top with a high neckline or bodysuit. My ruffle neck sleeveless sweater is one of my go to tops to dress up a look. To make this outfit party friendly and not just another work look, I added in some fun statement earrings and my silver heels.

Four Ways to Wear a Floral Print Sundress
Oh my goodness, I can not believe it is already the last day of September. This definitely was a blink and it’s over kinda month! We had our first cold front blow in this week, and I had a chance to pull out some of my lightweight sweaters. I get cold easily, so for me sweater weather sometimes begins in the low 70s. I’m definitely excited for the cooler temps, so we can start spending more time outdoors on walks and on our patio.
I quite enjoyed my sundresses this summer. They were light and breezy and great for at home days. I wanted to share a few ways to keep the sundress love going into fall with a few ways to restyle your dresses into fun new outfits.
Four Ways to Wear a Floral Print Sundress
FOR SPRING & SUMMER
Let’s start with the original look of my sundress for the Spring and Summer warm weather days. Since this dress a midi length, I opted to wear it with a wedge for a little added height. The neutral color choice of my shoe is also a petite friendly trick for adding the illusion of a longer leg. Great for using with longer dresses.

FOR FALL
The easiest way to transition any dress into fall, add on a denim jacket. This tip is great for fall, but also works in Spring when you might still need a layer. A bootie is the shoe for fall and can instantly transform a dress into the fall season. These booties have a lower profile, so it works well with the longer length of the dress. Again, I chose a neutral color to create that height illusion.

CASUAL DAYTIME OUTFIT
For a casual daytime look, I layered my dress over a white t-shirt and added a casual pair of white sneakers. Adding a t-shirt under a sundress is also a quick and easy way to make it bra friendly. Tossing on a comfy pair of sneakers make this outfit perfect for a day on your feet running errands. You could also toss a denim jacket over this outfit for cooler weather.

FALL WORK OUTFIT
A long olive cardigan is the perfect way to make this sundress office friendly. It covers both your shoulders and the open back. You could go with a few different shoe options here like tan heels or loafers. I really liked how my white slides helped the white in the print pop, so I chose them for my work outfit styling.
