I can’t believe Christmas is this weekend, and soon we will be celebrating a brand new year! December always seems to go by the fastest. Probably because it’s filled with so many things to do and places to go. I spent the weekend at holiday parties with friends and family. It was so much fun. I can’t wait for even more fun this coming weekend.
I have been eyeing bomber jackets for a few months. Since our warm weather seemed to be sticking around forever, I decided to buy so I would have a pretty lightweight jacket to wear to holiday parties. Of course then a cold front came, and we have freezing temps this week. I noticed this floral bomber jacket is currently sold out, but I linked some more gorgeous ones at the bottom of this post. When looking for a bomber jacket, I kept ending up on the floral ones. I love the gorgeous embroidered detailing. I mean is anyone shocked that I picked a burgundy one. Ha! It’s my color of the year for sure. This jacket is super lightweight, so it can be fully integrated into your outfit and left on while indoors where it may not be as chilly.
I finally bought a pair of gray skinny jeans and love them! Several pairs have been on my current cravings list for awhile now. I went with this pair because I really loved the shade of gray, and they were only $41. I didn’t know how often I would wear them, so I wasn’t ready to splurge yet. Well I can now say that gray jeans can work in so many outfits! It’s a nice change from black and dark blue, and the neutrality of the gray makes it work with a good variety of colors. Stay tuned because I have more outfit coming with these jeans! I would definitely snatch them up while they are on sale.

I picked this fabulous wrap coat up at the Nutcracker Market last month. I typically don’t buy clothes for myself from the market, but I do always stop by Chloe Dao’s booth. She is a local Houston designer who happened to win Season 2 of Project Runway. Chloe was my favorite designer that season and not just because she was from Houston. I love the fit and structure of her designs.
Since it’s only super cold for about a month in Houston, I love the idea of a short-sleeve wrap coat for winter. What I loved about this one is that I immediately pictured about 3 different ways to style it. I love styling it as more of a statement top with leather leggings for a chic holiday party look. At the market, Chloe tied it for me a little higher above my waist in a bow. It was really cute, but I haven’t quite been able to replicate it yet. I’m practicing though.
A couple other ways I would wear this style coat is over a simple solid color sheath dress. You could tie it or leave it open to create different looks. I wore a plain tee, distressed jeans, and flats to the market, and it looked really cute with this coat worn more like an open long cardigan. One important thing to keep in mind if you plan on wearing your coat as part of your outfit, make sure what is underneath is still cute if you need to take it off. In this post, my leather leggings and black blouse can still stand on their own as a chic holiday party look.

Happy Cyber Monday!! I made this post two parts – an outfit for those of you so over all the sale info and a HUGE sales list for those of you still looking for all the great deals. But first, let’s talk about this outfit.
This sweater popped up in the “things you might like” section when I was looking at another item, and I was immediatly smitten with it. From a distance, this sweater almost looks solid red, but up close and personal you see the cool black and red striped details. I knew this would be the perfect red Christmas sweater, if the weather allows. It was freezing the morning, I took these photos, so I can say with confidence that this sweater will keep you warm. It’s a pretty thick sweater and oh so cozy!
Since I lean more towards comfy, cozy on holidays, I styled this sweater with boots and jeans. For something a bit dressier, I would go with leather leggings and my lace up heels. The funnel neck on this makes it hard to pair with a necklace, so I went with cute drop earrings instead. I also added my sparkliest bracelet to add a little glam to the look.

Now let’s talk this gorgeous sweater! I love a great embelished sweater for the holidays. It’s a great way to add instant sparkle and glam to a comfy and cozy outfit. The embellished details on this one are stunning!! I tried to capture it in the photos, but I think this is one that looks way more impressive in person. It doesn’t look like a $79 sweater for sure. You can make this sweater more casual with jeans and boots or wear it to the office with slacks or a pencil skirt. I think it would be super cute with a pleated midi skirt too.
With shoulder embelishments, I usually skip a necklace because I don’t want to take away from the beauty of the design. Although looking at the pics, I think this necklace would work well with this outfit. I also went with a simple drop earring that complimented the silver detailing on the sweater.
