I love mixing together cozy and edgy pieces. This sweater is slightly oversized and so freaking comfortable! It also has pockets which for some reason just make me so happy. This sweater is adorable with jeans and riding boots, but I really wanted to find a way to create something a bit dressier with chic edge to it. Enter my favorite pair of leather leggings.
Ya’ll these are the BEST faux leather leggings. I bought mine last year, and they are back again this season. These leggings are so amazing because underneath that leather like coating is a scuba material legging. This means they fit and feel just like a regular old pair of black leggings, but the coating give the look of leather. I have tried on pairs that felt sticky, or too suctioning, or that showed off a leg dimple or two. I have had no issues with these, and I wore them tons last year. See how HERE and HERE. I mentioned washing them last year, but for those of you newbie readers. I wash these in a regular laundry load and hang dry. So far, I have had no issues with peeling or anything that sometimes happens to other faux leather items.

One trend I am happy to see carryover from spring and summer is the cold shoulder top. I love showing off that hint of skin on your shoulder while still being able to wear a regular bra. This trend will also be sticking around for winter as many sweaters also feature this cutout. This blush color is another item sticking around for fall. It’s a slightly lighter version of the pantone color of the year, rose quartz.
I loved blush and white together in Spring and decided to make this color combo work for me in fall. The top paired perfectly with my white jeans which I am still wearing on the regular! The blush of this top had more of an earth tone feel, so I paired it with these brown booties that also helped me keep a more casual look. You can easily dress this up with a pair of nude heels. I did want to bring one dark piece to the look, so I added a black tote bag.
This top is amazing, super comfy with a hint of stretch and really soft! I could definitely see this top doubling as loungewear down the road. It’s only $49 and comes in a couple other colors too like black and blue.
I’m so excited to FINALLY see Adele in concert tonight!! I have had all of her CDs on repeat all week, so I am ready to go. It is going to be the longest work day ever. 🙂 Ya’ll have a good one and thanks for swinging by!!

One of my favorite things about plaid is to see the different color pairings in each one. I saw this navy and burgundy plaid tunic online months ago and fell in love. It immediately found it’s way to my current cravings list. Once I saw it in store, I became even more smitten with the color combo. This top is a tunic length which makes it perfect to pair with leggings and boots or underneath a chunky knit sweater in winter. I definitely see more of this color combination in my fall and winter future!
I am so excited for this week, because I have so many fun activities going on. It starts with a ZTA Alumnae gathering, followed by a night with my bestie Adele, and ends with the mega holiday shopping extravaganza, The Nutcracker Market.
I am the most excited about the Adele concert. I have had tickets for a year!! Her last Houston concert like 4 years ago was cancelled because of her throat surgery, and I have been waiting for her to come back ever since then. I also took Thursday and Friday off work for the Nutcracker Market. Yes my Houston readers, I am one of those crazies who goes first thing when it opens! Although I am thinking about going later in the afternoon this year to let the crowds calm down a bit. The market is amazing, but not when it’s so crowded you can’t move or go in any of the booths. I have had a brown leather jacket on my fall and winter wish list for a few years now, but I’m so picky about what I want. It had to be the right shade of brown with just the right amount of a worn in distressed look. I also wanted a collarless, partially quilted, super chic jacket type look. The zippers had to be in the right places, the right angles, and the right dark silver color. Last came price, leather jackets are a high ticket item, and I wanted one in a reasonable price range. I am happy to report that I have found my perfect brown leather jacket! The right jacket can really transform an outfit filled with basics like this one into a super chic fall look. I love pairing brown and black together in fall from black jeans and brown boots to this black jeans/shoes and brown jacket look. This outfit would also look really cute with a black turtleneck top to go even more monochromatic. I chose this ivory swing tank to add a little complimentary earth tone to the brown of the jacket. I also love playing with the differences in proportion with the fitted jacket and flowy top. I finished the look off with my latest shoe crush. These adorable just under $100 lace-up heels add a little bit more edgy chic to the overall look.
