Favorite Finds from the Shopbop Sale!

Happy Friday and Happy March 1st! I love March because it means more Spring will start hitting stores soon. I’ve already picked up a few items, so stay tuned to the blog because I have found some fabulous spring pieces. Whether you are ready to start shopping for spring, need a few wardrobe staples, or want to pick up a few winter pieces, the Shopbop Buy More Save More Sale has you covered!
Here is how it works: Use Code GOBIG19 to score 15-25% off your order! You must spend at least $200 to earn a discount. The sale breakdown is below:
15% Off Orders of $200+
20% Off Orders of $500+
25% Off Orders of $800+
When browsing, make sure you look for products with “GOBIG19” included on their browse and product information pages. If it’s not there it’s not part of the sale. Notable brand exclusions I saw: Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Hanky Panky, some Tory Burch, and some Marc Jacobs. I tried to be careful not to share anything excluded, so hopefully I did not get distracted by all the pretty things.
Also, if you are an Amazon Prime member, you can use that free 2-day shipping on your order! You do have to sign into your Amazon account when checking out.
I found lots of my favorite denim in the sale and my go to black thermal top. I’m sharing which of my favorites pieces I own are part of the sale and after that some of my favorite Shopbop Sale Finds! Happy Shopping and Happy Weekend!

Pantone Color of the Year 2019: Living Coral

Happy Friday! Every year, the Pantone Color Institute releases a color of the year. Last year, the color was Ultra Violet, a gorgeous deep purple. The pantone color of the year 2019 is living coral. A beautiful and vibrant color, and a color that has me ready for Spring and Summer!
A little back story on the Pantone color of the year. Each year the Pantone Color Institute looks at color trends and current culture to determine the perfect color to represent the year. This color will start making its way into the fashion and beauty world. You can be expecting to see more of this gorgeous shade in the next few seasons.
I love the description of this year’s color choice. The reasoning is filled with words like optimism, joy, authentic experiences, and playful. All things we can use a little more of in such a technology and social media filled world. A color to remind us to put down our phones and go enjoy life, live and in person!
What do you think of this year’s pantone color choice?
One way I love to wear this coral color is by pairing it with all white to create the perfect color pop. I grabbed my favorite white tank and skinny jeans and tossed on my coral cardigan for an easy grab and go casual look. You could dress this up with heels, but I opted for my brown booties to keep the look more casual. This outfit would be perfect for brunch or any casual daytime activities you have coming up.
I hope you all have a fabulous Super Bowl weekend! Thanks for stopping by this week!

Galentine’s Day Outfit Idea

Happy Friday!!! Who’s ready for the weekend? I have a mix of fun plans, relaxation, and blog work on the schedule, so it should be both a fun and productive weekend ahead of me.
I know we aren’t quite to February yet, but I couldn’t wait to share this gorgeous metallic striped top with you. I love this whole look as the perfect Galentine’s Day Outfit. It would also work for date night or just a regular girls’ night out. The metallic striped details dress up this classic black silhouette to give it a little bit of a statement factor. I love it for when your night might be low key, but you still want to feel a little fancy.
If your gal pals and you are having a Galentine’s Day party or dinner, I love the idea of wearing an all black look and going against the red and pink Valentine’s colors. Although, I would also wear this for a Valentine’s date night too, because it’s so perfect for date night. I added in black skinny jeans which can help make an outfit feel a little dressier even though you are still in jeans. This top needed some fabulous earrings, so I added in these gold statement earrings.
I hope you guys have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

A Year Round Must For Work: The Gray Flippy Skirt

Hello Ladies! I meant to have this post up yesterday, but I went out of town Sunday and due to traffic delays got home way later than expected. So I decided to change up my schedule this week and do only two posts, but I will be back to the MWF schedule next week.
I’m back today with my go to winter work combo, the sweater, skirt and boots. First off, if you need a good black fitted sweater, this one is it! I wear it with skirts to work and with jeans for a casual look. I tossed a black leather jacket over it with jeans and boots for a little happy hour look a couple weeks ago. Super versatile style!
This gray flippy skirt is definitely a piece you can get lots of use from year round. The light gray color will work now with black and dark jewel tones, and in spring with floral blouses, white tops, and pastels. It’s a pull on design and slightly fleece like material which makes it super comfy. I wear flippy skirts to the office every week. I like the flared design of them to add a slight playfulness and bounce to an outfit. They also transition really well to post work events.
I hope your week is off to a good start. Thanks for stopping by!
