So first off, since I didn’t mention it on Monday, how amazing was Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl performance!! She put on a show, and at least in my books it is one of the best halftime shows. If you watched the game portion, I really want Erin Andrew’s blue blazer. So cute!
This is probably going to be my last week of winter looks because it’s 80 outside. February is usually our coldest month too. I’m closing out my last few winter outfits with the perfect cozy and chic office outfit. A combination like this is one that I wear weekly into the office. I love the chic all black look, and ya’ll this cardigan is the coziest sweater. It’s definitely one of my favorite purchases this season. I have paired it with dresses and pencil skirt outfits too. You can mix this look up by adding a white or ivory blouse.
One last winter look will be coming up for you on Friday, and this one will be perfect for the weekend. Be sure to check back and next week get ready for a sprinkling of some Spring outfit inspiration! YAY!! See you Friday!

Valentine’s Outfit for Work and Date Night

| OUTFIT DETAILS |
Black Sweater | Dark Pink Midi Skirt | Blush Nude Heels | Black Clutch | Statement Necklace | Gold Stud Earrings | Similar Gold Bangle | Pave Links Bracelet | Aviator Sunglasses | Lips: MAC Craving | Nails: c/o Essie Go with the Flowy
Hello February! How about we kick off this month with this gorgeous Valentine’s Day outfit for work and date night. Valentine’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year, pretty much right smack in the middle of the work week. For us office-goers, the easiest date night solution is to plan an outfit that works for both day and night.
I purchased this skirt over a year ago, and it’s still available. It’s a classic silhouette, and the thick material means lots of winter rotation! I love the full shape and midi length, perfect length for the office. The color though that is what makes me feel all the Valentine’s day vibes. It’s just the most gorgeous shade of dark pink. I paired this skirt with my classic black crewneck sweater to keep this look office friendly, but I added a glam statement necklace to make this look work for date night too.
I also added a great pair of nude heels that are both office and date friendly. For all my short girls, nude heels are the perfect pairing for midi skirts because they give an optical illusion of long legs! Trade out your office tote for this classic black clutch, and you will be on your way to that romantic date night.
Now just don’t forget to make those dinner reservations! If you are looking for a few gift ideas, check my last post for idea for her and him. Ya’ll have a great rest of the week, and thanks for swinging by today!

Work Wear: Back Tie Blouse

| OUTFIT DETAILS |
Back Tie Blouse | Trina Turk Skirt (similar style | similar style) | Lace-Up Heels | Gold Drop Earrings | Similar Gold Bangle | Aviator Sunglasses | Lips: MAC Craving | Nails: c/o Essie Party on a Platform
I love tops that catch you off guard like this one. From the front this outfit is the perfect girl boss serious work wear look, but when you turn around the gorgeous bow tie detail takes this look to the next level. I paired it with my favorite winter pencil skirt for the perfect outfit to go from work day meetings to happy hour drinks with your girlfriends. My skirt is a few years old, so I linked a few similar styles from Trina Turk.
I have already paired this top with my maroon skinny pants from this post. This top works perfectly left untucked over them. You could also make a smaller bow and create a long flowing in the breeze look with the ends when you walk. For a casual look, pair this blouse with a cute pair of distressed skinny jeans and my go to nude pumps for the perfect date night look.
The hardest part of this top is deciding what to do with my hair. I have been playing with braiding, so I went with that for the photos. A high ponytail or bun also looks cute with a top like this one. If you want to go hair down, I would definitely tie a small bow and leave the ends long so the detail can still be showcased.
I hope ya’ll are having a great week, and thanks for swinging by!

Color Mixing Work Outfit

| OUTFIT DETAILS |
Navy Sweater | Maroon Skinny Pants (wearing petite) | Blush Nude Heels | c/o Brown Satchel Purse | Long Gold Necklace (similar) | c/o Earrings | Bracelet (similar) | Sunglasses | Lips: MAC Craving | Nails: c/o Essie Party on the Platform
Thanks to a gorgeous plaid I purchased over the summer, I found my two new favorite colors to mix together – navy and burgundy. My love affair with the color burgundy led me on a hunt to find a pair of pants to wear to work. I expected to find them everywhere, but I ended up finding them at only one store! I guess not everyone has an obsession with the color like me. The basic route would be to pair these pants with black or white which I completely plan on doing, but I wanted to showcase how gorgeous this color looks next to navy.
Much like I used dark teal and berry pink as a play on traditional Christmas colors in this post, the burgundy and navy could be considered a patriotic nod. I think the darker more jewel toned shades add a nice sophistication to this little color mixing work outfit. The pieces may be a basic work look, but the bold color choices make this anything but basic! I did opt for my pair of basic nude heels to really let the color pairing shine in this look. My sweater is currently on sale, and these pants are currently on major sale at 60% off making them only $26!! You definitely don’t want to miss that price tag!
I hope everyone has a wonderful first full weekend of the new year. My mom, sister, and I are going on a mother-daughter date to the symphony this weekend. I haven’t been in awhile, so I’m excited. The one we are seeing is Cirque de la Symphonie all set to film scores. It will definitely be a fun and new experience! See ya’ll back here on Monday.
