What I Wore This Spring
It’s been awhile since I shared a what I wore post, but I didn’t have many chances to capture outfits this Spring. So I’m rounding up my spring outfits from the past few months into one fabulous post! It includes what I wore to my first bridal shower, a few casual errand running looks, some at home lounge outfits, and my Easter and Mother’s Day outfits.
The good news is that many of these items are still in stock, a few just in different colors. I’ve been doing a much better job at snapping outfit photos this past month, so we will be back to our regular monthly outfit shares with my June outfits. Stay tuned because I have some really fun outfits coming in that post. Hope you have a great last weekend of June!

Pink Bow Sandals
These pink bow sandals were a teeny tiny bit of an impulse buy, but one I defintely do not regret! I had my eye on this luxury pair at the start of 2020, but when we stopped going out I decided to put them on hold. When the spring season rolled around, I thought about buying again, but wasn’t 100% sure if I was ready to splurge on shoes when I’m still home so much. Then like an amazing gift, I spotted these on Instagram with the heading under $100 and without thinking I hit add to cart. I had my first bridal shower coming up in a week, and I knew these would be the perfect fun pop of color to pair with my white dress.
As soon as I pulled them out of the box, I knew I had made the right choice on these pink heels! I got my fun summer sandal and didn’t have to splurge. While I love these pink sandals with a summer white outfit, they are fun to pair with colors too! They were the perfect pairing for my pink striped puff sleeve top. The pinks all play together perfectly. You can also pair these with floral prints or bold solids like yellow or green.
Sizing Note: I went up a 1/2 size, and they fit perfectly! The length of the shoe is where I needed a slightly bigger size.

White Denim Shorts Outfit
Summer is in full swing over here, and we have a busy weekend full of celebrations and home projects. It’s already so hot here, so my shorts game is going to be really strong this summer! I love how white really helps summer colors pop, so I’ve added some white shorts and skirts into my wardrobe for the summer season.
One of the great things about this particular pair of white denim shorts, they have no rips or distressing. They are also a bit of longer pair of shorts. These two things make them great as a dressier pair of jean shorts and perfect for family events. I love how this pair has stretch to them to make them extra comfy, and no see through issues! I sized up one and they fit great. I find white denim tends to run small, so I always size up one.
My orange floral print cami was the perfect pop of color to pair with the white. I tend to opt for shorter tops with my shorts. It really helps create balance on my short frame. A denim jacket really completes the look, but this outfit looks great without it too. Check it out here from my Instagram last weekend.

Belting a Maxi Dress
Happy Friday!! Ya’ll it has been so rainy here in Houston this past month. It’s really been getting in the away of my outfit shoots. I like to shoot in the evenings or on weekends. I feel like everyday at 5 the skies turn dark gray and the rain starts. We’ve also had lots of rainy weekends, I have been trying to sneak in an outfit or two when I can. I’m hoping this weekend for some clear skies because I have so much cute stuff for summer to share with ya’ll!
Anyways, on to this blue maxi dress. This dress is a great example of how a belt can totally transform a look. Without the belt this blue dress has zero shape and all the boho vibes. I wore it without the belt to a slumber party my friends and I had last month. The shapeless look made it so comfy and perfect for lounging with friends. Adding a belt not only creates shape and definition to this dress, but takes it from casual boho lounging to office ready. Since it is a loose fit, I recommend sizing down. Also for my petite gals, belting it makes it a tad shorter which is great because this dress is a little long on my height. I have to wear some kind of heel to keep it from dragging the floor in the back.
